I would give these guys SIX stars out of five if I could! We were passing thru town in our RV, and stopped at the post office to mail a letter. Came out and saw my tire nearly flat. River Valley was what came up when I searched Maps for "Tire Service" and when I called, Stan offered to come inflate it to see if it could hold air for the 2 blocks drive to his shop (so as to not damage the tire in case it was still good). Which his son Wendell did.

At the shop, Stan found the tire WAS already too badly damaged. He had a tire that was the same size, but rather than just make a sale, he was honest that an RV really needed a heavier-duty tire; which he did not have, and would take til morning to get. He offered to patch the bad tire anyway just so it would hold air, and swap it with the spare, so we could get on down the road. After he had DONE that work, we determined we could stay the night in town, and that we really would rather have the new tire, and so I asked him to go ahead and get it.

Meanwhile, he also got out our spare, which had no air and had dust in the bead and a rotten valve stem. He cleaned the bead so it would hold, and remounted it with a new valve stem.

Before the flat tire, it had been our plan to get to Socorro and look for a laundromat to do our wash that afternoon. But here at their tire shop, they have a laundromat next door on the same property! So we just did our laundry there that afternoon, and the whole event didn't mess up our scheduled trip at all! The next morning he replaced the bad tire.

AND HE CHARGED us no more for the tire than we would have paid at home, charged ONLY for the service of replacing it, and not for any of the extras that he provided, and the ENTIRE EXPERIENCE was what people SHOULD give when doing business, that so few people ever do anymore.

Again, if I could give them SIX stars out of five, I would do it!

This people are very polite and professional, they did an excellent job in recent days when my trailer broke not far from they’re shop, Mr Stan and his sons took a good care fixing one of my trailer axle, they also went to Clovis (60 miles) to pick up the parts needed, Wendell, one of his son, did most of the labor in an excellent manner that I got very satisfied and served, I strongly recommend this staff for all of your tires and mechanical needs, repair charges awesome!!!

This is a nice little laundry mat next to the service station. I was confused as to whether it was or not at first, so I hope my added photos help. Fair pricing on the machines.

It's a sinking feeling when your trailer brakes fail in a state you're just passing through! Fortunately, it happened around Fort Sumner, NM. Stan at River Valley Services charged a modest fee to repair the trailer brake wiring and had it done in about 20 minutes. The brakes have worked great since then! It's good to know people like him are out there doing a great job and are kind to people on the road!

Stopped at Allsups in Fort Sumner to get gas and notice our tire was low. Allsups clerk told us to call River Valley Services bc they have an emergency line. He met us within 10 mins at the shop and found 2 nails in our tire. Fixed us right up!! Said we wouldn’t have made it very far. River Valley Service has outstanding service and we thank you so much!!!

I got a flat tire outside of Fort Sumner and these guys were a lifesaver! Fastest service I’ve ever experienced. They were fair and so kind. Best service I’ve ever had.

Fantastic, we broke down 698 miles from home and they fixed it and got us back on the road even after the part was 60 miles away, and with reasonable rates, will for sure use this business again if needed.

Our brake caliper came loose 15 miles out of Ft. Sumner. We were able to secure it enough, though without use of those brakes, enough to limp back to Ft. Sumner. The guys here at River Valley Services did a great job coming up with a solution to secure the brake caliper, put it back on, and have us on our way.
We were passing through from North Texas to Arizona and we're fortunate we broke down near here.

They were so helpful when we had car trouble as we were passing through on the way to Arizona! Got us in quickly, did good work, affordable price, and got us back on the road. A++

We needed to travel for a family emergency. We stopped in Ft Sumner for a stretch break and our vehicle would not restart. I walked the couple of blocks to River Valley Services and explained what had happened. Dalen (sp?) Went with me to my car and quickly diagnosed a bad starter. When he learned about our family emergency, he bent over backwards to make special accommodations to ensure a replacement starter was found and delivered from a neighboring town same day. He got it installed in very short order and we were back on the road! We felt the price was very reasonable, as well. Bottom line: Great people, Great service, Great price. THANK-YOU!

Had an LQ trailer tire shred coming into Ft. Sumner. River Valley had correct size in stock. They changed it out and I was back on the road in less than 15 minutes. Great service!

Absolutely amazing! Stan got us right in and tire replaced. The tire had a chunk come off while traveling thru in our RV on Memorial Day. He got us in first thing Tues. morning. What a great, honest guy. Thanks Stan!

We want thank everyone at River Valley Tire. May 2021 we passed through Fort Sumner. We had three low tires which was made much worse by a malfunctioning air pump at a local gas station. We pulled into River Valley Tire quite stressed because there were only few places to get air in town. The staff was friendly and very understanding about our situation. They set up their private air system without hesitation and filled all four tires back up to their proper air pressure levels and confirmed this with a separate air pressure gauge.

Friendly people and is the best shop around Thxs guys and reasonable prices recommended 100 %

Stan and his sons are super great to work with! From repairing flat tires to working on my cars AC, they can do an awful lot!
