Vernal Brewing Co

A nice, dog-friendly gastro pub and brewery with good food options. The fried Brussels sprouts are delicious (you can ask for no bacon if you’re vegetarian), and the beers are crisp and refreshing. This is probably the best place to stop for food and drink in Vernal. We stopped here multiple times because it was a reliable brewery with good hours. Vernal doesn’t have a ton of options, so if you’re out in Vernal, traveling around to Dinosaur National Monument, Flaming Gorge National Recreation Area, or just passing through, you’ll truly enjoy this stop. It gets 5 starts from me for being a diamond in the rough in Vernal and for being dog-friendly. Having a dog-friendly patio was a lifesaver!

Great food, service and atmosphere. Large portions so you may want to share.

Me and my partner went here on a busy Saturday night. We did receive the service we wanted through the whole meal though so we were impressed. The prices caught me off guard initially but I understood once I bit into my food. I had chosen the VBC burger with fries. The pickles were like no pickles I had ever had before but tasted amazing. Honestly I thought they were cucumbers at first but it turned out they were pickles. Everything about the burger was amazing. I would describe it as a worthwhile gourmet burger. My partner and I tried a variety of their home brews on tap. Impressive selection. I had to get a root beer float made with the house root beer. That would be my favorite part. I highly recommend it.

Good beer. Nice upscale yet cozy atmosphere. Since it wasn’t too busy they let me get on the WiFi and work while I ate delicious chicken pot pie.

First visit and this has to be best brewery food we've ever had. Excellent wait staff with great suggestions. I had the pork chop and my wife had the skillet pot pie. Both had excellent flavor. The kids all enjoyed their burgers and chicken strips. Plentiful portions. I enjoyed my beer flight except for the Sumatran coffee one. I like coffee, but not this one.

This place was so good we came back a second time on our trip. Then menu had so many good options it was difficult to decide. My kid got the lemon salmon and said it was the most delicious thing they have ever had. It is very fresh food and a little hipster vibe. We loved that it had a dog friendly patio and they brought a bowl of water for our dogs. There is a beautiful garden next to it. I’m not sure if they get their produce from there, but that would be amazing! It is definitely worth walking around. They have lawn games on the patio too. Super fun atmosphere. All the staff was very pleasant.

The food was fanTASTic! I had the Chicken with Puff Pastry (similar to a chicken pot pie🥧.) Be sure to take home their 🍓 STRAWBERRY RHUBARB COBBLER. So buttery and delicious. I would expect more pickles from the pickle platter.... (I didn't expect olives, even though they were good too.) The BRUSSEL SPROUTS were perfectly salty and crispy. One thought would be to add the restaurant name out front... It's not well marked. Loved it. Would definitely come back.

Stopped here for lunch on our way through and I'm so glad we did. Modern and beautifully decorated, great atmosphere and the food was generously portioned and absolutely delicious. We ordered a side of sweet potato fries to split 4 ways and there was plenty. Rotational tacos, fish tacos, evil burger and chicken bacon wrap.

I wasn't sure what to expect way out here in Vernal, Utah because I thought I was in BFE but WOW, what a great surprise. Our hotel clerk sent us here and I thanked him when we got back. Upon entering the brewery we noticed that it was very upscale in appearance and very clean and shiny. The staff were very nice and we were seated immediately. Service was terrific. I'm not a micro beer guy but they got me a beer that's as close to a Coors Light as they could. It was pretty dang good and enjoyable. For dinner we had the porkchop with potatoes and green beans and the Evil Burger with fries. Both meals were phenomenal!!!! SO GOOD. We also had the fried brussels sprouts to kick things off and those were terrific as well. If I was a local then this place would be a regular stop. We would definitely come back if we're in the area again.

Best place in town for a more upscale dining option. We were in town for a conference and ended up here all 3 nights. The food and beer were great as well as the service. Everyone was super nice and we didn't have much of a wait if any. We will definitely be back again if we're ever back in Vernal.

The soup is really good! The wings are awesome! I think the best in town, I wasnt crazy about the shrimp and grits, too smooth for me, but it was good.

Delicious food, great beer, and a really fun place to hang out. We have loved working our way through the menu- among the stand outs have been the burgers, shrimp and grits, and (my personal favorite) the Deconstructed chicken gyro. So grateful Vernal has a place like this. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area!!

VBC is always one of our favorite local eateries. We've never been disappointed by what's on the menu, and thoroughly enjoy it all. Whether looking for somewhere to meet for casual, formal, or business, VBC truly is fitting for any occasion.

Wow. No regrets trying this place. Loved the salmon and the fish & chips. Great outdoor patio.

A brewery with a great chef. That's it. That's the hook. Great beer and excellent food. Get the salmon citrus salad. It was delicious!

I loved everything about this place. From the architecture to the decor....the customer service (thanks Lacy) to the food (which was so delicious). The artwork on the walls was so beautiful. The unique beer was tasty. I would go back every night to try something new lm the menu if I could. Kudos to the owner.....I wish I could meet you to say thanks im person.

We had the poutine, Brussels sprouts, and a flight of beer. Everything was delicious! Poutine was huge, and came with pulled pork, melted cheese, and breaded fried cheese curds - it was even better when we added ranch. The fries were perfectly crispy and well seasoned. I’m not a fan of a basic poutine, but this version was awesome. The beer flight was a good deal and all the beers we tried were delicious, especially the honey ale and the peach wheat beer. The fire wheat ale had a bit of a kick but was great too. Brussels sprouts were perfectly fried and came with a lot of bacon. Our server, Molly, was super attentive, quick, and helpful. Would definitely come back next time we’re in Vernal.

Ahh. I was very happy with the stacked tostada and my partner loved the Mac and cheese. We can vouch for the Allosaurus, Rigor Mortis and Directional beers as well. The Directional is a smoked porter. All beers were served very cold (nice after hiking dusty trails) and developed as they warmed a few degrees. Loved them. Also our server was excellent and the vibe is fine!

They allow dogs on the patio! Also the food is so good. We were happily surprised and will be back!
