Absolutely amazing! The beautiful petroglyphs are unmatched anywhere! I'm from a couple hours away and only learned of this place as a recommendation from a campground operator. Go! It's easy to get to and worthwhile. Don't speed, go 35.

Beautiful hike. A little steep in a couple places, but easy enough for young children. The petraglyphs were amazing!

So awesome to see these petroglyphs! Must do if you're in the area. Can't believe this is private land, so great that the owners opened it to the public. The trail up is slippery and a bit steep, so wear good hiking shoes and be careful!

We had a great hike out to the three kings with our 5 and 7 year olds. Pretty flat hike through an area with a pond and cattle. You can't get very close to the three kings, but there's plenty of other petroglyphs along the way to see. No shade and you may want bug spray. Plenty of parking, porta potties, and a small shed that shows a map of the hikes, shares history, and asks for the $5 donation (cash or Venmo).

This a truly amazing experience. The glyphs are close and so detailed and crisp, but I was just impressed with the hikes through the pastures and the view of the valley from above. This is quiet and peaceful place.

The McConkie Ranch Petroglyphs are on private property. There is a small parking fee of a 5 donation, very reasonable for accessing amazing petroglyphs. The trail was short and easy to follow. I had an absolute blast visiting this site.

So cool! We visited the Upper Trail...took about 20 minutes to hike up. We were not prepared for the climb but a warning to wear your hiking shoes. Was an easy to moderate climb.

Awesome experience. I have never seen so many Fremont Petroglyphs in one spot. The property is easy to find and very well kempt. Though be sure to follow the rules and be as respectful of the property as possible. I am glad we made this detour to see this and I am grateful for the family that allows the public to come on to their property.

Visiting McConkie Ranch absolutely made the trip for me. They were absolutely fascinating! We took our kids, and they made it, but it was a little tricky in parts. Although there is a trail, and it is clearly marked, there is quite a bit of stepping on and over lots of large rocks. It gets pretty slippery in parts, our youngest two fell a few times. We were all glad we went though, very worth the recommended $5 donation per group. Really, if you have any interest in a beautiful little hike to see amazing petroglyphs up close without crowds or walls blocking you from getting up close, then this is worth visiting. Please don't take anyone that won't be respectful... A few places showed signs of defacement, which is such a shame. Visit them while they still look as good as they do!

Very nice hike and petroglyphs. You have to continue on all the way on the trail to see the best ones. And the 3 kings panel is in the other direction, but NOT to be missed. Just wish it was not so high. Take a good zoom lens.

It is very nice of people to open up their land to view these. Really liked the hike. There are toilets in the parking lot but no water.

A short but steep and tricky hike gets you to the best collection of petroglyphs I saw while in the Vernal area. I encourage a donation to help offset the effort made to provide a parking area and trial markers to see these historical rock carvings.

A great hike with some amazing views. There are several petroglyph sites including some very clean life sized petroglyphs.petroglyph. Parking is easy to find. The hike has some strenuous sections. The best part is ip the trail a quarter mile from the parking lot. Bring water if you go in the summer as it can be brutally hot.

The trail on the side of the cliff is a bit rocky, but to be expected.
This is an absolute must if you're visiting Vernal. Wife and I had a great time hiking around to see all the petroglyphs.
It's one of those places that pictures don't do any form of justice.

Short and easy trail just a little off the canyon road.

As I was checking out of my hotel in Vernal I saw a small brochure for the McConkie Ranch Petroglyphs and decided to drive the 10 miles from my hotel out to the ranch. It was one of the best mornings of my trip. The petroglyphs are easy to find.
You follow a well marked trail through a pasture and climb up a short but steep trail to the bottom of the cliffs. The petroglyphs are in excellent conditions (considering that they are over 1,000 years old). If you are in the area I would highly recommend visiting this site, expecially if you have children as they can easily see the carvings.

There is a $5 donation for parking. Hiking up to the Petroglyphs is pretty straightforward as it is marked on both sides of trail with blue rope or blue ribbons. My 3 year old in Crocs slid around a bit but did fine. The trail has a decent slope but it isn't long. At times it was difficult to distinguish what was legit or desecration.

Steep hike on a lot of loose sand with the reward of unique drawings from Native Americans. Almost a spiritual experience standing next to the rocks where this native people recorded their way of life. The dress is unmistakable with obvious headdresses, earrings, and loin clothes. Very cool place!

So amazing. Trail is very well kept and clearly marked. You can climb all over along the trail and see the petroglyphs. They aren't kidding, they really are covering the walls along the entire trail. So many different designs. They have some of the unique ones marked so you don't miss them. My four year old was racing along and almost slipped so be careful of the edges but kids can do the hike easily. It's free but there's a place to leave donations. Totally worth it to keep this place open.

Wonderful little hike to some amazing petroglyphs. Clearly marked and a site worth the trip. Bring binoculars if you do 3 Kings Trail. The main panel is up close and personal.

What an amazing place. Not only are the Petroglyphs amazing but all the scenery is incredible. We went on July 27, 2019 around 9:30 am and had shade for the entirety of the hike (about 1 1/2 hours--we did not do Three Kings trail). Thank you McConkie Family for sharing this with the world. Truly a wonder!

NOTE: The trail is clearly marked and you return on the same trail (backtrack) for about 3/5 of it.

P.S. be sure to go all the way to the end of the trail. The "bear" is incredible.
