Facility is clean, staff are friendly, welcoming, very organized and on time. Our veterinarian, Dr David has been wonderful. She performed thorough assessment, asks pertinent questions, presents diagnosis with treatment options. Our first visits were emotional, as we had to euthanize our beloved dog. Dr.David explains what to expect, gave us time to be there with our dog. She s an excellent clinician.

Countryside Veterinary Hospital has taken care of all my fur children over the years. The care and gentleness they have shown, gives me peace of mind and faith that my pets are receiving the best care possible. They’ve gone above and beyond when we have lost a beloved pet to let us know that we do not grieve alone and they understand what that special creature meant to us. Our animals receive the best care with their help and wouldn’t take them anywhere else.

I love Countryside Veterinary Hospital. I have been taking my animals here for the past year and I have almost zero complaints. The staff is always super friendly and knowledgeable. They have done everything for me from exams to surgery. I have felt extremely comfortable with them taking care of my girls like their own. 10/10 recommend this vet to anyone in the area!

We have been taking our pets to Countryside for years and we love it! They take such good care of our animals and do a thorough check up on them as well! We’ve never been to another Vet and when my daughter moved and had to take her pups for their check up, she was disappointed with the care and service she received at the new vet’s office. That’s when we realized that we get genuine quality care from Countryside!

We’ve been pleased with all the care we’ve gotten over the last 10+ years at Countryside from the providers we’ve seen. Dr Mackin deserves special shout out for going above and beyond. A few years ago we took my cat , Felix, in to find out he had late stage CKD (chronic kidney disease). Dr Mackin gave us the option to extend his treatment at home if we were willing (and if Felix was willing). Most providers would not have even given this option. I cannot over-exaggerate here how much effort she put into teaching me how to care for my pet (things like giving him daily IV fluids subcutaneously, for example) and find us affordable options for his care. It is evident how much she cares for her patients and their families. Because of her willingness to help (beyond what could be expected) we got an extra year with our Felix. She has incredible beside manner and is so kind and gentle. We love her and are so happy we found her!
I have to include this picture of her here- I took my 4 year old daughter in with me for our cat Professor’s checkup because my daughter was interested in what an “animal doctor does”. Dr Mackin took extra time teaching her, explaining what she was doing, and answering all my 4 year old’s questions. Here she is letting my daughter listen to Professor’s heart. It makes me smile every time I see it :)

I cannot say enough kind words about Countryside Vet Hospital. We have been taking our pups to Dr. Shoemaker since we moved to Idaho Falls nearly 6 years now. The support staff and vet techs are great. 5 stars for every visit for veterinary care. Chuey and Titus give you 5 stars, as well!

I've been working with Countryside since 1988! I've always been happy with the care and the kindness of everyone that works there. I've worked with most IF vets through fostering, and without a doubt, Countryside will always be my favorite.

My little Shiloh was well taken care of. I love the crew at Countryside Vet! They also saw my Billy who is an old kid with lots of issues. The dr is so very kind to us and our pets.

A fabulous veterinary clinic!! We were traveling and needed to have our dog checked out. The staff and veterinarian were so kind and helpful! They got her in and we got the medication she needed so we could continue our trip. If we lived in Idaho Falls I would definitely use them as our vet. Thank you so much from Olive and her parents!!😊

Our poor little pom needed serious work done on his teeth. Dr. Mackin had to remove some teeth and she cleaned the rest of his teeth. I have a lot of confidence in Countryside Veterinary Hospital. I will never go else where for the care of our precious pets. Thank you Dr. Mackin

I have been going to Countryside Veterinary Hospital for many years now for the care of our first dog, a Yorkie, and our current dog, a Westie. They give great care.

Our dog Lou is always very excited to go to the vet. She gets spoiled every time we go. Countryside is very professional and are willing to get us in right away when Lou is up to no good.
