Something Awesome

Very intricate large scale wood sculptures. My favorite has to be the Groot swing. Very awesome work. Definitely worth a stop to see. Inside the shop there's only live edge boards and some wood that can be purchased. All sculptures are outside. Owner is very nice.

We were stopped about 50 yards ahead looking at directions and talking with our travel buddies when I looked up and said ". What's that?" So we walked over and just WoW. Seriously amazing art! The guy there came out and was telling us about the artists. It's a donation box type of thing and we did donate. I wish I could buy the Groot swing. I fell in love

We were driving down the road and suddenly saw all these amazing sculptures by the road. Had to stop and take photos! Amazing work! I didn't notice if the place was open or the prices. But the work really was incredible!

I wish this was open when I found it. But it was after hours so I was just able to see it from the other side of the highway. I was just passing thru. Great find tho. Amazing looking things from what I could see. Stop by if you’re ever near.

This place is great, it has a big collection of wood carvings and original souvenirs . David the owner is definitely something awesome, shared information about the artist and his work and when I told him I was an artist as well he gifted me a beautiful wood slice!!!!

The owner of this place is awesome. All of the art are pieces he has collected. He just sells wood - but definitely give this guy your business, just because he's so awesome. If you visit and heres there, chat him up. He will tell you some awesome stories while he sits in his little wooden chair.

Not much there but wood carvings BUT that is what I went for, so I thoroughly enjoyed the artwork of some amazing wood carvers and sculptors

We love stopping here when we pass through to see all the new works...one day, when I'm rich and famous, I will be by to commission a piece! They do such great work!

Just a random roadside art freak out. Actually is something awesome. Stop and take pics with the kids and leave a few bucks in the box.

The talent and craftsmanship in the woodwork there are no words absolutely amazing friendly warm smiles to greet you.

When we discovered Something Awesome, we met a motivated couple who inspired us to eventually move to the Oregon coast. Tons of impressive beach finds- fossils and agates. Some really impressive wood, both worked and raw. We stopped here every time we were on the 101.

Several years later, the place hasn't changed . There is something awesome here for everyone.

Awesome statues along Highway 101 in someone's front yard. We didn't enter as it was about to be getting dark and we just looked from the street side.
