This area is so beautiful! There isn't a way down to the beach from here, but there are some trails with very scenic views. We actually saw a whale from one of the viewpoints! There is also a museum with cool miniature dioramas and coast guard models that doesn't take too long to go through and a small gift shop.

During one of our adventure seeking mornings, we decided to discover Port Orford Heads after hearing amazing local stories about the trails and scenic views. It did not disappoint! The videos are the entrance of the park.

Beautiful setting! Inspiring history! Easy hiking trails! As a bonus, wonderful Park Ranger actually sat on the porch with my dog so I could tour the museum! How awesome is that?!?!

Beautiful views in a lovely park. Had my wedding here for this reason. The hike is moderate but not terrible even for us with bad hips.

Unbelievably well-maintained gravel and concrete trails leading all over the place to some really pretty vistas. My wife and I saw four whales about 150 yards off the beach!

Amazing trail with stunning views, benches to rest on and sea lions sunning themselves below on the rocks. Keep an eye out for passing whales too!

We were at agate beach at the end of ninth street. We found alot of real nice agates. A wonderful way to spend the afternoon. The waves were huge and we all ended up with wet feet.

Visited this park Wednesday 5/26/21. Unfortunately I did not get to explore too much as I locked my keys in my car. Looks like a great park with historical buildings and a boat. Picnic area around the buildings. Porta potties. Parking enough for 20+ vehicles with a handicap space. 4 hiking trails. Busy I saw multiple people coming and going the several hours I was there (trails are not wheelchair accessible). Great for young children. Caretaker lives on site.

Easy trail hikes and gorgeous views! We have yet to make it when the museum was open; we always seem to end up here in the afternoon.

I adore this place, such an interesting and exciting place to learn about and visit. Gorgeous views along any of the 3 trails, and information is provided on different view points on the side of important areas. Plenty of benches for taking breaks on the way, and a great place to go on a calm hike, or upbeat jog!
