Me my wife and daughter were very happy. Diana was very nice. I would definitely recommend going here to get food for your family 😁 or to stay for a beer if your adults only definitely relaxed friendly environment. Burgers and the chicken strips were delicious. Also, the fries are definitely good as well. Overall definitely a great experience the takeout food was fresh and amazing. Highly recommend coming here if you're going to stay in the area 😁

My 76 mom and I were driving down the 101 for a vacation. We stopped in the Salty Dawg and we're so very pleased. I had the pesto ravioli and now will forever crave that flavor profile.
I live in Colorado, we need a Salty Dawg here. The staff and patrons were so kind and friendly.

Locals gather here for meals after work, birthday celebrations, or just to get together with friends. We enjoyed a delicious Chef’s Choice wi the bacon, bleu cheese, spinach, and mozzarella on a crispy, delicious crust and a side salad that’s very generous in size. We often enjoy early dinners here. They’re open until 11pm.

Wow! They have the best pizza here! We eat pizza every week and this is the best pizza we've had since n a long time. Crunchy crispy chewy crust with lots of cheese and the perfect amount of sauce and flavor. We had burgers yesterday and they were equally delicious. You can't go wrong eating here. It's a little rough looking bar, but friendly staff and patrons - well worth it!

Our group came in for burgers and pizza while staying in the neighborhood. I enjoyed my mushroom Swiss burger and our cheese bread. Must get the ranch!

My husband and I stopped at this place for the first time today, and actually it blew us away! It really did!
We got a variety of things, and everything from the pizza to the burger, even the side salad, was amazing! The care put into the presentation (even though our order was to-go) is apparent and I really appreciated the abundance of tomatoes, cucumbers, olives and mushrooms on what I had initially assumed would just be a small side salad (most places aren’t particularly impressive).
Like someone else previously stated, there really is something special about their fries. I don’t know what’s going on here but I’ve genuinely never had fries so good.
My husband and I have eaten in most of the states, and the food at Salty Dawg was noteworthy to say the least.
I don’t understand the few negative reviews this place has, but then again there are few, and there are always going to be “those” people.
You would be silly not to try this place if given the opportunity!
Lastly, the patio/smoking area didn’t bother us, and this is more of a pub-feel type of place. Anyone leaving a bad review because of patrons smoking is really out of touch, lol. Do better, your grandparents are embarrassed for you.

Absolutely fantastic food with great menu choices. The burgers were cooked to perfection and the pizza is great. Even the chef salad was fantastic. Some of the best homemade ranch dressing I've had in a long time. The only potentially negative is that it is a bar with a bar atmosphere. Children are allowed during certain hours and in the evenings there is potential that those sensitive to things said and heard in bars would be bothered. It was very mild though.

Great little "Dive Bar", they say. I'm not sure if it's a dive but a cool, local watering hole where the drinks are generous on the alcohol and everyone seems to be pretty friendly.

Had a delicious pizza; for sure the best place in town to get a pizza. Possibly the only place. I'm not sure if they deliver but they may have a delivery service like DoorDash, etc. Lots of other things on the menu and so far they all taste great.

The Salty Dawg is a local landmark for good reason. Great food and drinks with friends!

16 inch pizza and 2 root beers 22$. Pizza was good and I'm spoiled when it comes to pizza. Glad I changed out of my tie dye and into camo. Has a good coastie working man vibe. Will be returning. Tell the cook good job .

Great place to eat and meet the locals. Bartender was super friendly, food was delicious. And locals were very kind and great to talk to. A must go for locals and tourist visiting the city.

We had a surprise large group, and they were very accommodating, letting us push several tables together. Food was good, and service was even better. Definitely recommend if you're in the area.

In town from Utah for my brother's wedding, and decided on pizza for lunch. The beautiful bartender/waitress Lisa did amazing. She even joined in on small talk with my mother enthusiastically. The pictures on Google Maps didn't excite me, but boyyyy was the food delicious and above visual expectations once seen. 8" pizza, 3 toppings, for $10.50? Delicious. The fresh mozzarella sticks were perfect, as well. Extremely nice and friendly environment. Karaoke wasn't starting for 5 more hours, but half the staff was singing along with the music being played. Wonderful experience all around.

I was so hungry I didn't take any pictures...but it looked as good as it tasted ( and I'm super picky about my hamburgers!!!) Extra patty and Cheese was totally worth it 😋😋 My son and I split the hamburger 🍔= 1 protein style bun free cheese burger and 1 regular cheese burger!!!! Enjoyed the meal in my RV outside... Winning oh and we got the sweet potato fries ( huge treat because of my nightshade allergy) and they were absolutely delicious. They know there food and what's in it which made this a wonderful experience with my food allergies...they got the order right.. honestly that's really rare these days!! Thanks for making this a low stress and delicious experience!!!

Hands down my favorite dive on the Oregon Coast. Reasonable prices for good quality and a super friendly atmosphere. I live up in Coos Bay so I'm not local, but you still get that warm welcome like you are. Get the vibe from the regulars like it's a home away from home. I always look forward to stopping in when I'm wandering 101. Pizza's great, burgers are great, wings are great, drinks are strong. Couldn't ask for a better bar

Don't let the weird color scheme and lack of signage on the outside fool you - I thought this must be a strip club the first 10 times I drove by. But it is a great dive bar. Good 70s and 80s music on the juke box (not too loud), nice outdoor sitting area, pool tables, lots of TVs to tune to whatever game strikes your fancy, and, most importantly, good food. The pizza, salads, and hamburgers, are made fresh and are very good. My understanding is that new ownership upgraded the food in the last year, so some of the old reviews may be out of date.

One of a few places in town open on a Friday/weekend night. The online ordering worked great and the staff were very friendly and super helpful. Pizza was fantastic, and the salad was plentiful. This place is exactly what you need after a long drive into Port Orford and you don’t feel like cooking.

The best kept secret...in Port Orford! These folks serve some of the best food between Coos Bay and Gold Beach. The pizza is spectacular...we come from Bandon to get it. Burgers the same...amazing. You have to get wings...Franks Buffalo sauce is my fav. Sure - a bit rough and tumble inside but I've never gone in there and ever had any issues...some local folks having a good time and they're more than willing to involve you in whatever football, baseball or golf game is playing on one of the numerous big screen TV's they have. They even put hockey on one of them for me while I waited for my pizza! They just opened a small outdoor patio which is nice.
Look for the bright purple building at the north end of town and stop in. You will leave with a few new friends, a full belly and some great stories to share...
