Bear Valley River Co

We recently had a group of 14 middle aged people go rafting at Bear Valley. The whole experience was very well organized. Safety precautions and discussions about water rescues were clearly laid out to the group before we got in the rafts. The raft guides were very friendly and helpful during the whole trip. Our guide, Liv, was hilarious and I was impressed at how easily she was able to get 240lbs me back into the raft after I went for a voluntary swim. We had a really fun ride that included some class 3 rapids. I highly recommend rafting with this place.

Had an awesome time in Idaho especially after our class 3-4 rafting trip with Bear Valley. Our guide Tommy was such a beast, good directions made for a safe run and
fun ride.

I took my kids for the first time and everyone was sooo nice. Our guide ,Sid, was amazing. My youngest daughter was a little scared at first and Sid was so sweet. My kids had an amazing time and at the end of the trip my youngest daughter was smiling, giving Sid hugs, and telling me how nice she was. Sid is very skilled at what she does and guided us through the rapids very well. I will definitely come back!!!!

We were visiting from Canada and were looking for great adventure. Our guide Noah was really knowledgeable about the river and made the ride down the river quite a memorable experience. Did the half day main it was quite worth it and great adrenaline rush. Definitely going back to try the full day steps or canyon.

I would like to start off by thanking our guide Annie, you made mine and my family’s experience one to remember. This was my second time rafting with Bear Valley River, both times all of the staff from start to finish are just amazing people. The instructors do such a great job at explaining all the safety instructions and exactly what to expect before stepping foot in the water. These people are very professional and know how to have fun at the same time, I can tell they work very hard at making safety there number one priority. I can tell all these people love what they do, but they also work very hard. The one thing I recommend that you bring with you before arriving that they do not mention is, stop by the bank or atm before heading up bring some cash and leave your guide a gratuity they deserve it. Thank you all at Bear Valley River for such an amazing adventure, I will definitely be back in the near future.

I had such an amazing time today on the class 3 & 4 full day trip with Tommy as our guide. I signed up solo and they placed me with an awesome group of people. We laughed so much my jaws were hurting. Tommy is a super nice, chill guy that is very skilled and knowledgeable. He made a point to get to know us and make sure we were enjoying every aspect of the trip. He and Tobin, our safety kayaker, did a great job preparing our lunch for us. The cookies were homemade by the owner, Phil, and the salad was tossed perfectly. ;)
I loved that we weren't stressed to stay on a particular schedule, and everything was pretty chill, go with the flow (pun intended). It was a rainy day late in the season so we had the river to ourselves which was awesome and probably lead to us being able to have a little less stress on time when we stopped at the hot springs and for lunch.
I also just got our pictures back and want to give a shout out to our bus driver/photographer for an excellent job on those. They were all so good, I couldn't pick just one or two so I bought all of them. They were awesome!

This rafting outfitter was fantastic! It was my first time and I was very nervous but the guides were experts and very serious about safety. That fact let me relax and really have fun on this epic adventure!! Thank you Bear Valley for such a great memory!!! I would definitely recommend this company for their professionalism and friendliness from top to bottom!

Amazing experience!! The food, atmosphere and staff at the restaurant were outstanding!! What a fun place!! We rafted the south fork of the river and our guide was Howie. He was nothing short of spectacular!!! Our experience was superb. Howie was fun, professional, and a very talented guide. I highly recommend this adventure!!!

We embarked on our first family rafting trip with Annie on Saturday PM Main. We totally loved it!!! Annie never made us think about safety during the trip especially having our twin 4 years on board. She delivered a great rafting experience with details of the rapids, engaging kids, fun and guiding💯

We strongly recommend Bear Valley Rafting for families with young kids for enjoying a great day rafting whitewater rapids on Payette river. The wife now wants to go back, so booking the next trip👍

Booked the Cabarton for a group of 6. Was a great experience we had Tristan and Noah as the guides. They were fun, educated and provided a great experience. We booked a full day so stopped for lunch and the chicken wraps were delicious! Walker needs some kudos too, he was the bus driver. Super amazing experience and will be re-booking for another run!

Great 1/2 day on class 3-4 water. Our Guide Howie was fun and made us feel comfortable. The support guy Liam was really great added safety. We could just have fun. Be sure you ask to ride the bull.

We had an incredible experience with Bear Valley! Howie and Amber were awesome. It's a special skill to balance being laid-back and fun focused with being safety oriented, and they really found that balance perfectly. We had an absolute blast and highly recommend!

Our group of 9 had the BEST time from start to finish. Check-in was fast and easy, safety instructions were easy to understand and all of the staff were fun & friendly. Our guide, Kiefer, truly made the experience better than we could have imagined. He was friendly and entertaining and did everything possible to make our trip memorable!!

Oh my Gosh! What a blast! Not bad for 2 - 65+ Seniors. We had a great time on the 1/2 day Main Payette River and our guide, Stella, was stellar!

We went on a half day rafting trip with a group of 10. This is our second time going with Bear valley River Co. and it was a really great experience! Easy to book, great pricing and ran smoothly. What really made the trip so much better this year was our guide, Nate! He add so much more to the day. He was friendly and super fun but we also felt really safe with him. He gave a ton of great information and answered all our questions about the river as well. He was really good with our younger kids, involving them in fun ways and having them ride in the front of the raft. He also had us interacting with other boats which made the trip even more fun. Overall, he made the day amazing and we definitely plan to do a full day next year and request him for future trips.

Excellent!! The perfect trip. Our guide Loomis was appropriately hilarious. No politics or R-rated jokes. Our three generation family had a blast. There was enough excitement and learning along the way too. It was a wonderful day of experiencing nature, thrills and bonding time.

This was a day none of us will ever forget! We did the Full Day Canyon trip and were lucky enough to have a few extra guides sit in with us as we only had 3 in our group. Connor did an amazing job as our guide! He made sure we were comfortable and knew what was happening around every bend. Our boat assisted in a rescue of a private kayaker who had run into some trouble and dislocated his shoulder. It was amazing watching all the guides step into action and get this guy to safety. We felt safe the entire trip while experiencing amazing class IV rapids. Our lunch was outstanding! We can't stop talking about this trip. This company obviously hires the most professional staff that assist from the beginning of the experience to the end.

Bear Valley Rafting was great! We rafted the Staircase on the South Fork of the Payette and it was a blast. All of the guides were great. Isaac was amazing. Even before the trip began, Isaac quickly and professionally attended to the medical needs of a member of our party. On the river Isaac made sure we all had a great time as well as ease the concerns of one party member that was nervous. Within no time she was comfortable and experiencing the added thrill by riding the bull! Definitely recommend Bear Valley!
