We were two couples who rented snowmobiles and spent two nights at the Box Y Lodge. Unbelievable experience! Cindy and her crew were so welcoming and accommodating. What a fantastic adventure we had. We were novices and stayed to the groomed trails for the most part but the views were beyond compare. And the Box Y served us three meals a day and it was GREAT. Steaks one night, a fabulous breakfast, and then chicken Parmesan the next day. This was one of the most memorable trips we have ever taken.

Our elopement at Box Y was an absolute dream. I can't rave enough about our experience.

Megan & her team are incredible hosts and make you feel at home from the moment you arrive. Megan was extremely accommodating, making the entire planning process stress free. The food was excellent and the homemade carrot cake was easily the best cake I've ever tasted!

It's impossible to describe how beautiful the setting is. It’s a combination of authentic Wyoming, warmth & comfort.

The experience here is unmatched. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect elopement!

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Very awesome place!! Snowmobiled in and ate lunch here 2 days in a row. Saw lots of beautiful scenery on the way in. The soup was delicious (had different soups on different days). 5 miles past the lodge is the elk feeding grounds where we saw an unbelievable amount of elk. Def recommend 👌

Attended a wedding at the Box Y ranch with my wife and two young children and it's truly a beautiful place. Megan and everyone working there were very accommodating and I couldn't recommend them enough.

Our group of 7 friends had an amazing 2 night 3 day stay at the Box Y where we enjoyed snowmobiling, scenery, wildlife, and great food. The cabins are clean and provide everything you need while being off the grid. The food is amazing and the location is beautiful.

We had a near-perfect 4-night stay at the Box Y this last week, arriving on June 7 and departing (sadly) on June 11, 2021. After reaching Alpine, WY, it was our pleasure to make the 29-mile drive on a well-graded gravel road to get to the Box Y. For those intrepid souls who can cope with driving along the beautiful Greys River as it meanders along the valley between the Salt River and Wyoming mountain ranges, the rewards are rich and long-lasting.
The Box Y exceeded all our expectations. We learned the ranch is run by people who care deeply about being stewards of the land and providing their best effort for each of their guests.
Our cabin was clean, spacious and completely comfortable, with all we needed to feel at home. The meals were always delicious, hearty breakfasts to start the days and satisfying dinners we'll look forward to enjoying again on our next trip.
We came to ride horses well-suited for mountain terrain. The wranglers had cleared trails that brought us to ridgelines covered with wild flowers and scenery that took our breath away. Megan, Dave and Riley were always there to ensure our safety and enjoyment.
We could go on, but words can't adequately describe our Box Y experience. You'll need to check it out for yourself.

We went twice in one year. Wish we had a cabin next door. So gorgeous, unique, breathtaking. Food is wonderful and owners are the best!! I took both of my adult sons on a bear hunt. We had the time of our lives. We want to try snowmobiling in winter-- we hear that is definitely a must do experience!

I can't say enough great things about Cindy, Tim, Meagan, and Riley and their Box Y Ranch. They took 6 novices out of the city, put us on horses, and we felt like pros. Their attention to detail, kindness, and professionalism made the ride a success for our group, aged 15 to 73. They had larger horses for our larger riders and small horses for the grandmas. They gave us easy to understand instructions and led us on a ride suited to our skill level.

The scenery was breathtaking, the horses gentle, and the guides knowledgeable and fun. We take an annual family vacation every year and my husband of 22 years said this is the most fun activity on any of those trips. We were staying in Jackson and the drive down to Alpine was beautiful and worth the journey. The road from Alpine to the ranch is mostly unpaved so allow extra time for that portion of the trip. My only regret is that we didn't book a longer ride! Highly recommend!!

Warm, friendly, and good food. Not a large menu, but still good. You can reserve cabins here if you want an overnighter or ride up during lunch hours and just get some grub while having a break. They have fuel and a few other items for your toy should you have an emergency and need new spark plugs or oil while 4-wheeling or snowmobiling.

I DJ'd a wedding here on July 9th, 2022. This is an exceptionally beautiful wedding venue. Be aware, there is no power here. Everything is run with generators. But, the staff are top notch - very friendly, very helpful, and generally all around good people. Also, the road coming is is a bit... bumpy. LOL. I would love to come back out again.

Tim and Cindy are great hosts. We have been coming here for the last 3 years and plan to keep coming for years ahead. The riding is awesome but nothing beats the food! Always fun to get off the grid for a bit to a place of peace and quiet. Looking forward to next year!

We went to Box Y for horseback riding while up in Alpine for a family reunion. Best decision ever! The Haberbergers and their associates really treated us like family. They even tossed out some extra candy for our herd of wildly-cheering family during the Independence Day parade the next day! Their horses were well cared for and very well-trained, easy for beginners to enjoy. Chief and Cinch, the ranch dogs, were awesome company on the trail. If you’re looking for a great place to go for a nice day out (or some overnight stays, which is our next plan), don’t miss the Box Y experience!

Excellent stop while out snowmobiling. Our guide (Brandin from Big Piney, highly recommend him) took us out there and it was warm and friendly on a super cold day. We enjoyed a rest by the fire, dried some gear, and were welcomed by the sweet dog. The owners and people stopping in were all great. If you can get there in winter do it!

Way more than advertised! This place is amazing, staff is very very friendly and accommodating, nice cabins, peaceful, great lodge to spend time in and meet others. Second time here, will continue to come. Food is awesome, and all home made.

If you are snowmobiling the Grey's River Trail out of Alpine, Wyoming, I would highly recommend making the 28 mile ride out to the Box Y ranch for lunch. Great Hospitality, great meal, and the views are unreal!

In the winter you have to ride a snowmobile out. Great staff and they really know the area. It has great cabins and the best amenities is fuel. You can have a great time riding the huge hills at the Blind Bull and not have to worry about carrying fuel.
