River Forest Country Club

Our group played River Forest this past weekend. We really enjoyed ourselves and will be back. We played in the past couple years and the new owners are definitely making improvements on the greens and fairways. I'm hopeful in the years to come this course will be back to the way it was many years ago. This course IS challenging. If you want an easy course, go elsewhere. We love the challenge! My only CON (and I'm hopeful in the future this will be worked on) is they need a starter. There were some really slow groups who were sharing clubs, etc, so a starter will be helpful pick up the pace of play. There were some holes we waited 10 min to tee off, but it was the weekend and we were patient. Keep up the good work new owners. We enjoyed the menu at Lily's also.

Very impressed with the menu & staff. Clean place. We've been here before & apparently the place is under new owner or manager, but either way, this place has improved & we will be coming back

They had such an awesome breakfast with Santa! Our kids loved it. We had so much fun. It's a beautiful facility.

After what seemingly was gross mismanagement by the previous owners, the new owners are definitely righting the ship. They seem to care about the course, the atmosphere, the dining, and most importantly the customers. I was a member at River Forest years ago when it was a fantastic golf venue and let my membership lapse, but I’m thrilled to once again be a member with the new owners at the helm. Although they are not quite back to the lightning quick but receptive greens of the past, the greens are infinitely.better than last year, and will be even better next season. More and more activities and events are being scheduled and everyone should be able to find something to pique their interest. River Forest is a great place for a round of golf, lunch, and a cold beer, or for dinner with yours spouse and/or friends.

Course is making great improvements. Looking forward to see this course flourish. Food is amazingly good and Nikki and Linda are the best bar tenders! They are very attentive and friendly!

Good local course with great food and friendly staff! They've been putting a lot of money back into the course and it's starting to show. If they keep it up it will be a great course!

We went for 2 comedy nights at the restaurant and they were awesome! (Well, I was in one of them so i may be slightly biased, lol.) Lovely atmosphere, great staff, good food. Never played golf though, so I can't really speak for the course. But the clubhouse is aces!

I had a great time eating after playing 18 holes!! Food was great!! Only thing is the chef looked like he got punched by Mike Tyson!!

They are doing an amazing job bringing this course back to its glory days! Bar and restuarant are good...great staff...attentive and friendly! Shout out to Kyle.

Went there for fund raiser. Great food good service. Nice atmosphere, I had a steak it was cooked to perfection. The vegetables where great. There was a large crowd and the staff was serving the tables with great accuracy. The country club is extremely nice looking. I would recommend it for any event someone was planning. It would be especially nice atmosphere for a wedding or reception.

Golf course and greens have come a long way in a short period of time, pretty incredible turnaround. Looking forward to seeing the growth and improvements the rest of the year!

Golf course is improving. Bartenders are very inviting and pleasant , and the food at Lillys was fantastic. Great improvement.

Best public golf course that I have ever seen! The Landscape is breathtaking and the service was top notch! Also glad to hear of upcoming millennial events to attract younger crowds...Drone racing will definatly cater to that!

Beautiful course and great employees! My 1st time playing the course was 11-20-20! Yeah middle of November!! Still Very clean all around. Will be back often
