Historic Moncure Conway House

Historic landmark 1807 Federal style architecture, which is now a private residence. Historical markers tell its story across the road of its Falmouth location.

Cool place, but private residence. But really neat to see, and really cool in September when Stafford county has Yankees in Falmouth herr.

It is a private residence but it can be easily viewed from the paved walking path that is right there. The paved path is nice and accessable and there's a bench right where you would want to sit to view this from afar. Historical place that is worth noting if you are going this way and walking the path to see the other sights here.

It's a private residence so don't go onto the grounds. There is some good information about the house and why it's historic on panels located across the street on the Belmont-Ferry Farm Trail, as well as on a sign at the entrance to the Falmouth Beach Parking lot. I recommend taking the time to read it as it's an interesting part of Fredericksburg's history.
