Recently married on 9.27.19 at The Maples in Woodland.
Beth Sogaard Catering was a preferred vendor on the Maples list of vendors.

Initially, everything was great! We drove out to their location for a tasting that was awesome! We all loved the food and decided to do Family style dinner because we didn't want people to have to choose between the options. Initially I was working with Brian, and then a new person was hired named Laura. After a few months of emails back and forth, Laura stopped replying. I became concerned and reached out to Brian to see if he knew what was going on. He did not reply and therefore I had to contact our venue manager who then contacted Brian.

Brian finally got back to me to tell me that Laura quit and that he would now be my point contact leading up to the wedding. Emails back and forth... and it took him until 1 week before the wedding to send me my finalized rental list and final proposal for food. 1/2 of the rental list was wrong - he had about $1000 worth of things that we did not discuss and did not need. At this same time, he told me that he would have to add 3 more staff members because he only had enough for buffet style meal (which we had never wanted buffet, family style from the start). At one point, he tried to accuse me that I did not have an item on the list and that is why it wasn't on the rental list (when I had proof in writing that the item was on my list). This was a VERY stressful time already leading up to the wedding, and his poor communication and follow through with things was unacceptable and added stress.

Despite all the issues leading up to our big day, everything went smoothly on the day of. This is why I am giving them 3 stars vs 1 star. I would be very careful with this company, day of service may be good but the planning before was pretty miserable! It does concern me that a new employee only lasted a few months before quitting... seems like there are some behind the scenes issues that need to be worked out.

Ironic that they are called "the no worry caterer". They sure made me worry for 3 months straight leading up to our big day. Be careful!

DID NOT EVEN BOTHER TO REPLY TO MY REQUEST...probably not enough people at the wedding to make it worth her while...but at least a reply would have been courteous and good business practice as a lot of my friends children are marrying and I will tell them forget Beth....

We contracted with Beth Sogaard catering for a September 2020 wedding. The tasting was good, original communication was good, and deposit was given. Then all communication stopped. No replying to emails, phone calls, texts. When we finally did get ahold of Beth, 2 months prior to the wedding, she stated that she would be unable to fulfill her contractual duty. She promised the refund the deposit via mail. Three months later and still no refund or correspondence of any kind. DO NOT USE HER SERVICES. Completely fraudulent and unethical. She will not return any of our calls or emails.

We had a contract with Beth for our October 2020 wedding. We have reached out numerous times to discuss rescheduling or getting our deposit and have heard nothing. She won’t return phone calls or emails. We are pretty understanding and the pandemic has been horrible, however the lack of communication is pretty incredulous.
