Best home away from home meal since moving to Cali. Staff are super cool and friendly. Small spot but you know it's good cause there's a wait and we'll worth it! 🤙🏾🤙🏾🤙🏾

This hidden gem is too good not to share (although I'll be devastated if they get so popular we can't get a table!) Every single time we've been, our meals have been incredible. The menu is Hawaiian/French and focused primarily on brunch foods, but there are other options besides eggs/meat. The coconut fried rice is an absolute MUST, as are the mimosas. My favorite dish is the Tartine Steak, but we branched out and shared the Surf & Turf and an order of the aforementioned rice this time, and both were divine. Already looking forward to the next visit.

Our first time and it's was amazing! After much deliberating, I chose the Garden Benedict. Delicious! My husband had the Croque Madame. We paired these with the sangria sampler.
The service was warm and friendly. The place is adorable with its Hawaiian vibe.
We will most definitely be back.

My son invited me here for Mother's Day. He pre-warned me that this was a small restaurant and there most likely would be a wait. We waited for about 45 minutes to an hour and finally got seated.
I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the Aloha Tower which consisted of a beef patty, two fried spams over coconut rice topped with two eggs over easy.
The food was delicious. I never had anything like that before and I loved it. Very flavorful.
I also ordered one of their Guava fruit juices and that was delicious also. The wait staff was very friendly and attentive. I left very satisfied and will definitely be back.

I've only gone one time so far, but this place has rocketed to the top of my list of breakfast places in the area (as in within ~45 min drive of Tracy). The service was great, everyone was super friendly. The food was awesome and I wanted to try a bunch of stuff. I ended up with the Montecristo and it was a nice portion with plenty of meat and lots of flavor. I also got the Caramel Apple beignets, and they were tasty (though I wouldn't call them beignets). My wife got a rice dish, which she loved, other people are our table got the Garlic Prawns, a stuffed crepe and the French Toast. Everybody agreed it was excellent.

Oakley has so much around we wanted to try something we hadn't.

The Hawaiian in their description is what helped us choose this spot.

From the outside it looks cute & it's cuter inside.

We were seated right away, the menu looked so bomb, so many choices, loved the music, island music my daughter & I both recognize & jam to so that was a plus.

Service was great, it got pretty packed after we came in there was 1 waitress handling it all & she was doing great.

Wasn't a long wait for our food, & my family & I all killed our plates definitely going to bring more family & friends to check this place out. It's great eating island food served island portions & affordable too.

This place reminded my family & I of Countryside Cafe in Waianae, HI bomb af

I can't say enough good things about this place. I love the old landmark building, the atmosphere is quiet and inviting, Issac is the best and the food is delicious! We haven't had a single meal we didn't like here and it's our new Sunday spot. I appreciate that there's no salt and pepper on the table meaning the food is well seasoned and doesn't need anything added to it, which it is. Today we were in before lunch was being served and the chef still made my son his fav Main Street burger. Can't wait to try something new next week! Did I mention what a great host /server Issac is?

This place was a nice surprise. The staff was great, the food was incredible and the atmosphere was very pleasant. Who knew the melding of Hawaiian and French cuisine would be so spectacular?

A must try if your in the area

Let me start with the food was Amazing! I had the Kahuku-Style Garlic Prawns. Simple dish but very flavourful. Others at my table had the Eggs Florentine and Eggs Benedicte which they also very much enjoyed. Our waitress was attentive and friendly and the menu prices are fair. I will definitely return and recommend others go as well.

A nice fushion of HawaiianXFrench cuisine. I love the vibe of the place really trendy and relaxing, really unique around Oakley area.

Food was great I got the Aloha Tower ($19), the flavor is really good. Their smoke salmon Benedict was great too.

Their servers are really nice and friendly, they always make sure that you are well served. I just felt bad with their servers at that time, you will notice that they are really busy. (Maybe because of Covid thing)

My family and I absolutely loooove Oakley Bistro! Such a cute location with really nice aesthetics. The food is simply amazing! We have been about 4 times now and are so excited to have a bistro of this kind in town. We no longer have to go to walnut creek or out of town for a good breakfast or brunch. Plus I love the owners story. A great husband and wife duo!

The recipes are carefully curated to make your palate say...delicious! It’s Hawaiian flare with a touch of French cuisine. My little one absolutely loves their French toast and without fail always says he wants all his French toast to taste like those :).

It’s best to make reservations on their website. We’ve done it twice and the other two times we simply walked in and put our name for a 20 minute wait. We’ve only gone on Sundays.

Always such a great brunch! The waitress is always so awesome and friendly and real, it makes it feel like I’m just at a family members home hanging out. Plus the food is amazing every single time, get there early because it’s a popular spot. Love!

Friendly service and good food. Had the Paniolo Breakfast Skillet and Aloha Tower. Both were delicious.

Amazing food! There was already a line 15 minutes before they opened, so I knew we were in for a treat! It's a small place, but well worth the wait!! And the prices are really reasonable for brunch. I had the coconut fried rice and a side of stuffed French toast. I am almost speechless! I am ruined for other places. The consistency and saltiness of the fried rice was perfect, and linguicia to boot, pure heaven! The French toast had no need for syrup, it was perfect. If you want to eat here, be patient, it's worth the wait. BTW, the drinks are great too! The mimosas are spot on. We will definitely be back.

I absolutely adore the owner and staff. They know how to navigate to wonderfulnew to me meal. I enjoy trying new to me meals. I love the decor and hope someday she will come into home interior decorating, that could be the ultimate bonus. Their food is always delicious.

Lunch was amazing. I will be bringing friends and family here. Can't wait to try more of the extensive menu options.

Love it!...found this delightful restaurant recently and have returned once....definitely will be on my list of happy places...great big flavors and great big portions....just hoping that their hours expand.

Bistro Punahele Tonnelier, what can I say... I just found my favorite restaurant in my Area. If you haven't been, you are missing out on so much flavor. We just got back from almost a month in paradise and I've been missing the flavors that Hawaii brings. I've finally found my little slice of heaven , right here in the heart of Oakley.
My man got the stuffed french toast. It was delectable. The candied bacon and the pecans on top was the icing on the cake and gave a perfect juxtaposition to the sweet flavor of the toast. No one even serves stuffed french toast out here and I promise not like this, not as delicious.

Since I have spoiled eating from those authenticly Hawaiian shrimp trucks, I was craving some authentic Hawaiian flavors and didn't think it was possible to achieve it here in the Eastbay. To my taste buds delight, I was wrong. My waiter recommended the garlic shrimp with the coconut rice. It was 10000% the right decision. My shrimp was so flavorful and cooked perfectly. The meat itself was sweet and juicy and the pflavors of the coconut rice and Portuguese sausage came together for a tastebud symphony. It's ALL GOOD.

Libations.. don't even get me started. The drinks are simple yet next level in flavor. Every single drink I here had by tastebuds feeling like I'm back on the beaches of Maui. The sangria with lilikoi was sooooooooo good. try it if your into sweet. The Pahala sweet tea though, it's definitely next level. The subtle taste mint comes though afterward and keeps it so refreshing. I definitely recommend getting a few drinks while here. You're doing disjustice to yourself if you don't.

Aside from the awesome food and drinks , Bistro Punahele Tonnelier has excellent service and ambiance. The vibe here def brings you back to islands, the ferns, the chicken. It's like I never left Hawaii. Which brings me to the next point. The staff and owners definitely bring the ohana spirit. My food came quickly and everything that was recommended was perfect. It was my first time in and I already feel like they are family.

I feel like experiences like this are far and few out here. Why have I not discovered this place sooner? I can tell by the quality and experience here, that
they have worked hard to hone thier craft. I haven't written a review this detailed in years because no local establishment seemed worthy of one, untill Bistro Punahele Tonnelier. So do yourself a favor and make it point to stop by this gem. At Bistro Punahele Tonnelier you can have your slice of paradise without getting on a plane. Mahalo.

Brought my fiance here for brunch, the food was fantastic. The service was attentive and fast. It's a cute space, with a lot of local history in the building. The new executive chef/owner did some really cool work making tables out of some of the reclaimed wood from other parts of the building. It's a really interesting and different mix of French and Hawaiian cuisine. I'm glad they opened up. Definitely coming back.
