Tail Wag Inn Veterinary Hospital and Boarding Kennel

Ever since I moved to Oakley, I took my dog here as he had a number of chronic conditions to manage. Everyone was very kind, empathetic, and knowledgeable anytime I had questions or brought the little guy in. Will miss interacting with such great people after my dog's passing. They made his final years so much more comfortable

This was my dogs, Testa Dura, first time visiting, just for a nail trim. The staff was friendly and professional. I didn't catch names, but the girl took the time to approach and really see what temperament my dog had. I appreciated that. I decided to mussle my dog, just as a caution because she was new here and is a chi mix. When the tech brought her back to me, did say that Testa definitely doesn't like being restrained. She was spot on, that's why I don't do her nails. Price was great and it's just down the road from me. Thanks to all the staff, we will be returning.

I wouldn't want to go to any other practice! So far, I have taken 3 of my kitties to Tail Wag Inn, the most recent being the newest of the family, Panda, a stray found outside in the cold. From the very start they were so kind and loving to both myself and Panda. Once found out a more invasive surgery was going to need to be done, they answered all questions I had and more, and made what was a scary situation much more bearable for me. Day of surgery went amazing, the team was fantastic, and they took such good care of Panda, it was really a wonderful experience. 10/10, will always come to this practice, and will always be my first recommendation whenever anyone asks.

Initial impressions, not a chain vet office... thank you. Awesome front office staff, Dr Lorie is complete and thorough, professional, and personable. As with solid professional services, you get what you pay for.

The entire staff was so kind. The Dr and nurse were so helpful, knowledgeable and patient! It is hard to find a good vet for Guinea pigs. Highly recommend 💯🙌🏻

My family has used this vet location for several family pets, extended incl. For everything from routine spays & neuters, emergency(when after hours was avail) and most recently, unfortunately, for euthanasia. This most recent was by far the nicest experience thus far, and that seems weird to say under the circumstances, but having been thru the losses of 2 pets, EXACTLY a year to the day apart, I found the staffs considerations to be entirely compassionate every step of the way. Starting with the front office staff, to Dr. Lorie, and the male tech who came in to retrieve my lil SumthinSilly once we were thru saying our goodbyes. The energy of all was really appreciated, and I can't say enough about specifically, the sweet soul of the front desk. She made the experience bearable in more ways than other sites care to do nowadays. I thank this clinic for having heart towards us when ours were truly breaking. Thank you again, until we meet again for a pawsitive need, I will share in the good word of a job well done! Very good.. took care of my baby. They didn't have any appointments,but I said she has diharea with blood and they squeezed me in. Haha Turns out she's ok, but glad they checked her..Not just in it for the money..squeezing her in shows they care ❤

Dr. Lori was so nice & knew what she was doing. Our Dottie a 6 year old whippet mix went to see her because she hurt her back leg playing. Dr. Lori office staff were very nice & caring as well. She is right before you go over the bridge going into Bethal Island in Oakley.

I love this place, staff is great and they know you by your name when you walk in the doors. Good reasonable price for boarding. Most importantly my fur babies start wagging their tails as soon as we pull in the parking lot.

Dr. Lorie is the best! She called us one day 13 1/2 years ago to tell us about a very special puppy who was found in the street and dropped off in her care. We were rescued by this precious Aussie-Sherpherd/Duck toller mix puppy, Sienna, who has cared for us and stolen our hearts. An amazing matchmaker, Bless you and Thank You, Dr. Jane.

Dr.J. Lorie was able to see my sick young cat within the hour i called. The staff, janie, arlene & rosanna did 3 follow up calls in the next week to check how my cat was recovering. She offers exams, xrays, medinces, emergency surgery. Vacation borading for dogs & cats. They are a little bit more in cost i think than other vets, but, if you didn't have health insurance- how much would your dr visit be?

Tail Wag Inn is a great place. I had reserved for my dog to stay at another kennel however my dog developed a skin allergy right before we were going on our trip and the kennel said they could not take a chance on my dog staying there because he may be contagious even when my dogs vet said he wasnt.

So last minute I called Tail Wag Inn they called my dogs vet had the vet fax over his records and they accomadated my dog. Turns out my dog wasnt contagious.
From now on I will be using Tail Wag whenever I and the family go out of town and my dog Domo needs a kennel. Staff is very friendly and it helps that it is a pet hospital too just in case something happens.
The place is nice and clean and from what I saw the Kennel has AC just in case your pets stay during the summer months.
As far as price Ive only used one other kennel for Domo to stay in it was a little cheaper or comparable to the other inn but not by much. But for the service that Tail Wag Inn gave me its was/is worth it.

Overall a great veterinary, had a friendly environment , was fast and efficient when i took my pup here. Highly recommended for all pets.

I have a 16 year old dog named Happy who was attacked by a wolf he fought bravely but the wolf overpowered him and he suffered much injury the tail wag in has saved Happy's life several times they are extremely caring individual's and highly competent and professional.

Been going here for years. Great Pet Care, reasonable prices. Dr Lori is great!

Staff is knowledgeable and very caring. Just what you want for your pet. I feel glad to have them around.
