Children’s Storybook Garden & Museum

Pictures don’t do this place justice. I expected it to be a lot smaller. It was great! My kids loved it and spent hours playing in all the fun little areas. Highly recommended if you are in Hanford. We took the train and walked from the station. It was easy to find and close by.

To the delight of all of us, especially my 9 year-old grandson, we visited this darling museum and loved every bit of it. Each house tells a different story, like Charlotte’s Web, Three Little Pigs, etc, and even has a small creek the kiddos can put their feet in. The 100 year-old house even has a picture hanging of it from that long ago. I was told to come back in the Spring as that is when the grapes are growing and can be eaten directly from the vines, so that is what we’ll do. It was an awesome place to visit and we can’t wait to return.

Our day trip to Hanford included a visit to this very special place for the kids and a great way to rest after lunch and ice cream. Thank you to the staff for being so friendly. We will stop and see you again.

Such a good experience for the kids. Outside creek was great for kids to splash around in because it was so hot. Employees were super nice and friendly, making sure we were comfortable.

Such a fun little museum and town around it. We enjoyed all the unique homes and activities, especially learning how to milk a cow! (fake cow and it was water but still cool!)

Marv was great. We enjoyed the experience in the gardens and various miniature homes representing classic stories.

I've brought my daughter here numerous times and it's always a pleasant experience. The staff are always so kind and welcoming. This place has such a cozy vibe. They really allow kids to be kids and use their imagination and explore. They have a vegetable garden, herb garden, and grapes on a beautiful vine over a walkway. The peppers weren't ready yet, but my daughter was eager to pull one. We haven't made it inside of the museum yet, but hopefully next time.

Great garden with good education for kids. So much for kids and adults to learn and have fun.

Beautiful hidden gem! We have visited during their special events, such as Halloween. The garden is so magical and the kids love exploring around. The staff is very kind and friendly.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PLACE! I've rode my scooter here to come by and see this fantastic wonderland. From the past boring days of not being able to do anything, this place really gives me thrills to come back again. I come alot to play the piano sometimes, but other than that the whole place is really fun to vibe at =D 5 stars definitely

Beautiful community spot for the kids. It’s cute and quaint, and continuously getting better. My kids love to play in the stream and read books there.

Took our Tk/Kindergarten class. The attendants were so kind. Very informative. Very kid friendly place. Will bring my grandchildren.

Great place to bring your family. Many benches to sit in and books about each station in the mail boxes to read.
Get a membership so you can return to the garden as much as you want, for FREE.
Many events planned each month and mist are free to members.

This is a great place to take kids for entertainment and educational purposes. They have a really neat set up with various themed houses kids can play in, art projects on certain days, and a wonderful array of flowers, fruit trees, and vegetables in different garden areas.

The garden was opened for free tour's. It is a very nice place. They have a lot of fun things for children to play with. They do have an annual membership program.

Children's Storybook Garden is a wonderful place for kids of all ages to play, learn and create! Parents love it too for the beautiful gardens, the fresh fruits and vegetables growing and available for picking, and all the delightful Storybook and Artists houses. As a grandmother, great-grandmother and a volinteer, I always find something new and delightful to enjoy about Children's Storybook Garden!

Absolutely a great place to take the little one and the whole family , so many thing to see and do what adventure. My aunt was reading the book The Three Little Pigs to her grandkids & the family and seeing the three little pigs houses 🐷🐷🐷. There was a scavenger hunt too that was lots of fun for our kidos 😍

Beautiful place with gardens, flower gardens. Very well kept. Nice place for young children to explore
