Salsa's Taqueria - Bishop

Great food and large portions for the price! We had the fish and shrimp tacos and both were excellent. The amount of fish and shrimp were almost too much as I couldn't get the tortilla around it. There is no table service, we had to order and pay at the counter but they brought the food out to our table. We were surprised on how fast our food came out but we got there early and beat the rush. The drinks, napkins, utensils and salsa are self serve. Most of the patrons did take out so there was plenty of tables available.

Big dining area. We had Surf and Turf and Fish Burritos. Both are great. The shrimps are good size real shrimps. It's not dry and very tasty with their sauce. Unfortunately fish is deep fried and not grilled, but I like it with cabbage. The Salsa bar is awesome. We tried all the sauces. Overall, enjoyed our dinner here and would definitely visit again if we are in the neighborhood.

I've only had quesabirrias, tacos and micheladas here.. As far as that goes it's definitely worth it. Prices are average for the area, awesome staff, quick service.

The birria tacos are so good! Stopped here on our way home and wow so worth it. Google will take you a weird roundabout way but just go into the rite aid shopping center. Anyway highly recommend this place the picture doesn't do the taste justice

Best Mexican food in Bishop, hands down. My wife and I moved here from LA (she’s originally from Mexico) and this is the only Mexican food place she’ll even get close to out here. We tried all of them, Las Palmas, Astorga’s (what a joke that was), Amigo’s, Ranchito, Mercado etc etc etc…. This is our spot. We liked Taqueria Mi Guadalajara too but Salsa’s seems to be our go-to.

Buenísimos los tacos de birria, the birria tacos are bomb and can make 2 tacos out of 1 which is great considering the price p taco. The birria consome is good too but could be less oily on top. Lady was cleaning tables which was nice to see some toma es don’t wipe down tables after each costumers, and establishment was clean in general as well as the bathroom which is a good sign cause the kitchen is probably clean too! Great salsas selection, defined recommend. I drove from mammoth to eat and buy other necessities. Worth the drive. I definitely reckoned and will definitely come back.

My husband works nearby and has tried several Mexican spots. This is the one we keep coming back to. They really do have amazing salsa. Their burritos are huge. I can usually eat half of one and save the other half for later. Great breakfast burritos too.

The food is great! Fast service, great space to eat in, also take out is fast and accurate! Do yourself a favor, eat here!

Great place, good food. Come here everytime we're in Mammoth. A lot of indoor dining seats available though it was a little cold inside. Very sanitary and fresh food, prices were good too. Got the beef taquitos and quac, tastes great. 👍

Traveling through Bishop my wife and I got hungry. I was told about this salsa's we went in. I had the carne asada fryes. They were absolutely awesome recommend it to everyone.

We stayed in Mammoth for 9 days and this was the best food we had the entire trip. The carnitas tacos are unreal! The salsa is so flavorful and not watered down which is rare to find.

One of my favorite places to eat in Bishop. I love the quesadilla with fresh jalapenos and the shrimp tacos!
The staff there are nice and helpful. And my orders come out quickly. I have never waited long to get my orders.

We enjoyed the street tacos and a Michelada outside with the dogs. The salsa bar was good and the tacos were amazing!

Incredible food, plenty of seating, large parking lot. Offer several different homemade salsas.
Large servings of food, fast prep of food, very popular with trades people. Highly recommend, shrimp tacos are wonderful, large shrimp, fresh ingredients. Love this place
