Petroglyph Park

Nice small park with an area for kids, cooking/picnic stations and bathrooms.

The walk around teaches you more about the history of the petrography. Short but interesting

Remarkable park in a beautiful setting with very good posted information regarding petroglyphs from around the world.

There are some very interesting rock carvings by prehistoric local indians. When you visit here be sure to read the information plaques and realize they only carved images of what they saw. Other than that, this park has a nice handicap bathroom, plenty of safe parking and a nice playground for the little kids. The people do a nice job of keeping everything clean and no graffiti. There are also shaded picnic tables
I think this is an awesome place to quietly visit and think.

My kids love this little park. My son is 13 and he like to walk around and see the petroglyph on the rocks. These are so cool, nice little trail for a walk or jog.

Nice park. Clean and play structure is good. Best part is ducks. So many ducks. Fun place to bring kids and also to celebrate birthday parties.

Ridgecrest Petroglyph Park is an awesome place to go on a walk. As well as it has a place for the kids to play. It has bathrooms and drinking fountains. As well as a covered bench seating area with a grill to BBQ.

We are avocational archeologists. Well, maybe just rock art hounds who read a lot of archeology and have visited over 100 sites from famous to obscure. They did a very nice job with this tiny park. The descriptions of styles and techniques are reasonable for tourists. They were respectful of local tribes, obviously consulting with them in the process of designing the park. There has been a scourge of vandalism and theft at some relatively nearby sites - some full on antiquities theft. I struggled with whether the park should play some part in educating the public about this destruction of American heritage, but have decided that this is not really an appropriate mission here. Overall I was pleased to find it and pleased to visit. It is a thoughtful little park.

A Great Place for family fun.

This place is wonderful... peaceful and lots to do for the kids... fairly clean qith lots of trees for shade!

approx 1/4 mile walk. HC accessible alternative for children under 10 and all to learn about rock carvings and history. very attractive and worth the time. appreciate the reproduction art and silouettes!

It's Amazing there it's so fun to walk around and see the ancient artifacts And your kids can play at the park while you walk around

Nice and small park with two entrances easy to mistake but cool to see.

Stopped here to eat lunch. Nice park, lots of places to eat at a table, on the grass of in your car..

My kiddos love playing here and eating lunch then going to the skatepark as well

The Festival was awesome. Only heard one complaint no Indian tacos. But it was awesome.
