Freedom Park

Simply LOVE this park. Nit only is it patriotic but it's so overwhelmingly peaceful. There's just no words to describe it. Especially on 9/11....

Good place to run around, hang out with friends, and splash pad available. Great shade with the trees towards the back of the park.

Fun for the family... Right next to the police station so it's safe.. bonus points for being close to Dutch Bros and KFC 😆

Great place to take the kids. They love to play in the fountains that spray for their enjoyment. Also dog friendly, there is plenty of room at this park.

Hands down my favorite splash pad ever!!! It's not only fun for kids, the whole family can enjoy it and cool off! Better than any other splash pad in Kern County!!

Not really a park, more of just a giant grassy field with some trees here and there. The grass is very well taken care of so it makes for a good place to have a picnic. It also has a splash pad located at the far side of the park which is great for days like today when it’s 111 degrees outside.

It's a very nice city park with a splash pad for the kids.
Yesterday was our city's annual 1000 flags parade in remembrance of Sept 11th. So there were placed over a large area of the park the thousand flags.
We were there for a picnic that evening and had a really nice gathering with friends and family. Plenty of shade and space for lawn chairs and parking

We had a picnic under the trees, and it was cool despite 101 degree weather and quiet. It is a beautiful park. There is a splash pad too with fountains and water cannons. The kids loved it.

Freedom park is really nice it has the splash pad and a practice course for disc golf. A great place for kids and adults.

Clean, lots of grass, nice atmosphere. Splash pad with picnic tables and shade.

I'm assuming this park is the one next to McDonald's...for the most part I like it but , not enough benches, no grass, and no shade really. However, the bathrooms are nice and big and kept clean and there's even a place to charge your phone where the picnic tables are. Lol......oops I'm sorry wrong park. The freedom park behind KerMcGee Center has lots of grass and a nice Gazeebo and pretty new fountain, but that's it nowhere to sit no toys for kids or picnic tables . pretty small really. Not sure if a lot of people like to go there beinsthat....it is right behind the cop shop. Just kidding, we love it.

Wide open area to roam or run your dog. Has restrooms, shade trees, places to sit, a covered area to sit, an awesome water park which is free to enjoy, connects to city hall so you can get licenses or pay off a fine while you're there!

It's 2 blocks from home. I've used the large open area to train Basset Hounds and now a Jack Chi. Plenty of room to run and it's well maintained. Bonus: it shares the property with the Ridgecrest PD.

Good place to chill in the shade of the trees during the hot summer. They have a playground/water area for kids, and there is also a small Frisbee golf course.

Alot of grass area. Also a small splash pad. Located near the police station and the Recreation Center. Some soccer practices take place there.
