Eastside Park

Camped on the grounds for 3 nights while attending the Omak Stampede Rodeo and Suicide Race.
2nd weekend in August every year. Play or float in Okanogan River. There is a carnival there. Vendors selling food, clothing, hats, jewelry. Has Porta potties and one real bathroom with running water and flush toilets. A basketball court, tennis court and walking/jogging track. An Indian Encampment where they play drums and dance in full feather headdress and outfits. Parade in town on Sunday, only 5 minute walk from park. Very inexpensive, fun time.

Pretty quiet except for Stampede and if theres a Wildfire. DNR sets up their command center there when sh*# hits the fan. This year was devastating. Photos are from 9/6-9/8/2020 The Cold Springs Fire that I personally took with my iPhone XR. Thank you to DNR as well as WADOC Inmates who helped get this devastating fire under control and eventually extinguished.

Great park....even in winter ! Has a garbage dumpster & electricity at this time of year. (early February 2022) Very nice walking trail along the river to downtown (close) with memorials to great Cowboys ! This park is right beside the stampede arena. It was perfect for our over-night stay while waiting for our Covid test results to cross the border.

Another "GREAT" city park. It's a big park with a campground along the river that has 40ish camp sites and a host. Water/power/sewer. The center row is now 50 amp and you can make reservations by calling the city.

Jeep broke down but at least my son can get out an play! The bathrooms have showers too if your on a long road trip. Lots of trees an plenty of fresh grass!!

Good ball field for high school baseball games.

Part of the Omak Stammpede where? I work security for a new company called Grand Event Management run by Mark and Karen Williamsit itwas our first year there. And we did great, and by the way, I'm using voice dictation. And I'm lazy but I will experiment with some of the spelling and do my best. Bye, bye.

I have a lot of history here I have been trying to find. I was a Google Level 7 Local Guide back here in 2017 when we were here a lo, and took a lot of photos. One even had over one million views. But I have yet to find it again. And find out why Google seems to either not remember me and my history here, or has it stored under another different account. I am not sure. Any help will be appreciated.

My 1st time @ the omack stampede, nearly missed the main event, but I really enjoyed the pow wow & a taste of fry bread....both events really made me feel spiritually connected to my Native Americans ppl

It's a beautiful park to see it's where the famous suicide race is called Omak Stampede!! Come one come all...check out the native Americans display our pow wow... look at our beautiful regalia the art we put into our outfits will blow your mind...a masterpiece in every sense of the word...come eat our traditional food.... our fry bread 🍞🥪 Is one of a kind...not to mention we have the rodeo where some of the best bull riders come to compete and the wild horse raceß...we also have the beautiful carnival where the kids can enjoy from toddlers to adults can laugh 😂 and smile like they where young again so please come over and live a little an support our way of life thank you for reading

Best lengua tacos I've had in Washington. Only been once but it is owner operated by a really great couple so the quality is always there. Live over an hour away but worth the drive for the tacos. Great prices too

It's a nice relaxing place to picnic or take a walk...lots of events at the arena-- the campground always looks very clean and inviting,although I have never stayed there.i am a local,can only speak of the use of the day facilities. It's nice..I personally like the walk on the dike, and the benches strategically placed to take a rest.

I love this park. They have lots to do from swimming to a skate park to basketball. They have lots of green field to play ball. A stadium for rodeo and the stampede race. Best time is August when they have the stampede going on.

We went down for the stampede always a great weekend so much to do it's never long enough. The vendors are amazing the Indian encampment is a must see the rodeo was great and the suicide race was toping to a great show

There is a track you can walk or bike on. Plenty of trees for shade, benches on the track and a few other places. In the summer time the pool is open or you can swim in the river close by. August is when the stampede weekend happens, it has rodeos, a powwow, and stands to buy food or items.

The east side park looks so nice and clean you can eat off it 😁 the place is very nice proud to be able to say that grounds keepers get a atta boy.meaning great job👍👍👍.

Really a nice, quiet campground with well shaded sites.

Great park, big shade trees and covered areas with picnic tables. Big grassy area for the kids, plus a dog park. City pool is also here and play ground.

Grounds are very well kept up. Water fountain to drink, and bathrooms. Very beautiful view of the river, and a grest place to throw down a blanket and take a little nap.
