I was very pleased with every aspect of my experience having insulation installed in my attic by Blake and his 2 workers. They were professional and kind and made sure my home was protected by using drop clothes and cleaning up after the work was done. They answered all my questions and I felt assured I was making the right decision. They also used a very high quality insulation product.
Since I had the work done mid-month my PG&E bill reflected that. I will have a better sense of saving on the next billing cycle. I also increased the thermostat by 1 degree and PG&E increased their costs. My estimate of gas savings (since this is winter) is approximately 15%. That's with the increase of the 1 degree.
The overall "feel" to the area insulated is a more solid and less drafty feel. Plus, there is a significant difference in outside noise reduction. I live on a very busy street and I am very pleased with the dampening of the noise from the street.

Fast forward 1 year, and I had a leak. Straight Edge sent a few roofers to check it out.

I had an issue when it rained heavily, the water would leak through the chimney on top of roof. I called several roofers for estimates. Brad came over to thoroughly inspected my roof. Took pictures of the roof and explained to me what needed to be done to prevent water from leaking through the chimney and the price it would cost. And also explained that sooner or later the siding on my chimney would need to be replaced and rough estimate on that project also. Although this was not the cheapest estimate, I decided to with straight edge roofing because Brad thoroughly explained what needed to be done and provided all the pictures. The crew was scheduled within a couple days and they came out early morning and got the job done. Also, several of the other estimates wanted half the cost up front and if not paying cash, they added an extra fee. Straight Edge Roofing emailed me a bill after the work was done and took cash or card payments with no extra fee. The only minor issue was that I had to go and pick up several nails on the floor around the chimney and some on the street where they parked. I will use Straight Edge Roofing again for any roof repairs.

The job was completed as scheduled. Felt confident that the work was done properly and correctly. Crew was friendly and professional. The entire roof was inspected and small repairs made. Was especially pleased they were able to match perfectly the new shingles with the rest of roof. No mess or debris was left behind. Estimate was higher than expected but still lower than competitors. I live in Atwater so was glad to go with local business. Would recommend them to everyone, friends included.

We have had a bad leak coming down one of our bedroom walls that we could not find. Another roofer came out first and was no help at all as well as charging us $350 for a little sealant that he put on that took maybe five minutes and after everything he had done the leak never even slowed down so I opened the ceiling and still couldn't see where the water was coming in from. We are in La Grange and most of the other roofers we had called will not come out here. We contacted Straight Edge and they sent Brad out within a couple days. He was very knowledgeable and professional with answering the questions I had and his assessment of the roof. We decided to try and seal what he could while he was here. It poured rain today and not a single drip or even a sign of any moisture starting. We will definitely be contacting Straight Edge in the future should we ever need any roofing work done.

I had major leaks in my manufactured home. I had called around and they were they only ones who were able to repair my entire roof for a very fair price. Brian and his crew were extremely professional and very honest and polite. They were very quick and efficient. Recommended to many people in my community and would recommend to anyone else that is looking to acquire a new roof.

They showed up to estimate the job when they said they would, got back to me within a couple of days with an estimate, and did the work when they said they would (give or take a few weeks, but I had told them the job wasn’t urgent as long as it was done before the rains start). The work was done quickly, they cleaned up after themselves, and the final bill matched the estimate.
