Fred's Mexican Cafe & Cantina

We come here at-least twice a month and we love it. They have a good menu of different things. They also have a kids menu which is amazing. I usually order the chicken fajitas. We also got a burrito and some check tenders with fries. We do get the trio dips we love it the salsa,queso, and gauc.

I absolutely love coming to this place, it had the best view, the best place and the staff and the bartenders are amazing people too I love the food & the big fishbowl beer glasses too lol so if you’re in Huntington Beach Main Street stop by Fred’s you won’t regret it 🤭

Came here for the second story view overlooking the ocean at lunch time- view did not disappoint! The food we ordered was excellent: would highly recommend the Calamari salad (bikini size was more than enough) and the California burrito. Family friendly atmosphere (lunch time) and does have a tall high chairs for kids. Service was a little slow but good. Prices seemed fair for the location and portion sizes. Complimentary chips and salsa were decent.

Very generous portion size. Served best nachos ever with interesting pickled soury jalapeños. Chicken taco salad is delicious as well. Love all their food even the churros. Bottom line large dishes and excellent fresh dishes. Can do better in cleaning tables .

Our first time here and we were sat quickly. We loved the outdoor seating and enjoyed the view. Yo was our server and she was quick and friendly. The meals we ordered were really good and food portions are really big. We recommend this restaurant.

The Chicken Chingaderas were pretty good. The salad it came with was okay nothing impressive. The fries were good. The chips were fresh but the salsa wasn’t spicy at all. They can easily improve the salsa. Overall I would come back to try other dishes. Our server was great. He came around often and took care of us. My friends ordered champagne with pineapple juice and they brought it in a beach kids pail with some ice 🧊

I visited on Tuesday, April 2nd, during the Street Fair, with my local residents' dad and stepmom to enjoy Huntington Beach's favorite place. Unfortunately, we had some issues with the food that we ordered. Mgr (Ericka) quickly turned everything around with such kindness and a big smile that I can't forget.
As the sun began its descent, the restaurant transformed into a breathtaking sight, making it an ideal spot to experience the beauty of Huntington Beach. A visit during this time is a must for any Huntington Beach enthusiast.

This is the only way to thank Mgr (Ericka) to make us memorial time at the Fred's. Thank You, Ericka.

So I'm not a big fan of Mexican food but if they have a good Mexican salad I'm all there. This place so delicious and our server was absolutely amazing. I got the taco salad with steak and it was by far my favorite Mexican restaurant. The view we had was absolutely delicious.

Erica & Brianna made sure our entire experience was great with impeccable service! Ceviche and margaritas are amazing.

Brianna was an amazing server! I come here every-time I visit. Never disappointed.

It's a nice place, the crab cakes are just delicious. Recommend it for spent a nice evening close to the beach

the nostalgia of Fred's is second to none, the food tastes as it did in the early 2000s. always a great atmosphere, food and service.

Decent bar with good food, large portions, can share with advantage. Great value for money and was pleased with the service

This is our favorite spot to get drinks and dine. We have a total of 6 children blended and we had brought 5 of 6 but today we brought my youngest to experience the food and ambiance. Great food and view. Thank you to Saul and our server for treating my family to a delicious cheesecake. Good bless you guys with many more satisfied customers.

Fred’s location overlooking the ocean is wonderful. It’s relaxing and at the same time it’s energizing watching all the activity downtown and on the Huntington Beach pier.

The Mexican food is classic Mexican food and also lots of plant- based health food.

Our favorites are the guacamole and chips , fajitas and the tacos.

The drinks are delicious, particularly the margaritas. The champagne and Bloody Mary are perfect and our friends favorites.

The most important picture is attached...and that's food. Chicken soup was amazing, I've never tried such a soft and sweet combination of vegie and meat in a soup. Definitely my favourite.

My second course was mix beef/shrimp burito that have a lot of vegie. Portion is very generous (taste is not 10 like soup but more like 8). What I didn't expect is one more plate full of rice and beans that follows burito. So, in moment I have food in front of me that looks like 2 or 3 persons gone eat.

Next time I visit Huntington beach and main street I will definitely go at Freds.

Also, they give you nacos as a snack amd you can enjoy from terrace watching the ocean.
