After reading a review, we decided to try this restaurant tonight for takeout. Excellent decision! We met the Chef who assured us “his food was excellent and generous!” My husband had lamb risotto, outstanding! I had wagyu meatballs, large tasty meatballs with marinara sauce. We treated ourselves to an apple tart with French Vanilla ice cream. The best apple tart ever!
They have nightly specials, can’t wait to go back! Hint.. a neighbor walking by told us the Saturday night prime rib is yummy!

I tried a ramen bowl and it was surprisingly good.

Given the restaurant's location, I dud not expect to much from their ramen but curious enough to place an order.

Their ramen bowl is a mixture of hong kong style ramen and american chicken soup. Noodles are at right texture, soup is not salty but flavorful, and ingredients are pretty original but make great harmony with the noodle and the soup.

If you visit BI and feel chill, try their ramen bowl.

Besides, service and ambience are also above the bar.

Friendly staff, great flavors. Not as expensive as advertised on Google. Embedded in the neighborhood vs being on main street, definitely worth the walk.

French country delicious food. Impeccable and welcoming service. The short rib sandwich is decadent, the chicken tandoori is flavorful with a beautiful presentation, the pasta with ricotta so FRESH, the Prime rib au jus French fries amazing. The ferry ride makes you feel like your on a little trip to a village in the south of France. 🇫🇷

Great lunch and dinner options! The prime rib special is fantastic and they have amazing coffee. Met one of the owners last week when I walked over to try and order coffee and he told me unfortunately they were closing down the coffee shop during covid. He went inside and gave me two full bags of delicious succulent coffee (whole bean)
Can’t wait for the coffee shop to re-open!

Terrific corner eatery located in residential area minutes away from popular Marine Street restaurants. We went Sunday night and was pleasantly surprised that we got a table immediately. Most times I would recommend a reservation. Parking could be a premium in the neighborhood. We were vacationing and walked to it. Highly recommend the burgers ( Waygu beef). Look that up on google. Fantastic meat and burgers. Service from waiter Flavio was exceptional. Nice menu and nice prices--reasonable. Highly recommend this restaurant. A hidden gem.

Great place & great location just down from the ferry. A must-order is the salmon salad with citrus dressing, goat cheese, and toasted pistachios!!! Omg! Also they do a mean, mean spicy bloody mary served with crispy bacon & olives! Love the coffee bar up front, the regular bar in back, and lots of outdoor seating. I'll definitely be returning!

I can’t believe we’ve been blessed with such a great restaurant on BI. I live between BI and Paris, where I work in food and wine, and the chef here can stand up to the best of ‘em. The sourcing and seasoning are top quality (thank you chef for using good salt!). Get the hamachi app. Or the salmon salad, which is in the running for best salad I’ve ever had.

Greatness has finally arrived. Great assortment of menu items - incredible service. Welcome to the neighborhood.
May is their soft opening month - no breakfast and only open Wed - Sun (it could be Thurs - Sun) for lunch and dinner.
Coming soon: the most incredible coffee service (when they open for breakfast)

We had a party of 20. The beautifully refurbished room, with it's large windows was the perfect setting. The wait staff was friendly, courteous and accommodating. The food was all good, but the biggest raves were on their chili rellenos! They looked great and tasted fantastic! We shall return!

Had breakfast and pricing, and portions were right on. Food quality was very good, certainly better than the prices might suggest. Will definitely be going back.

Came here after kayaking in the harbor. Such a beautiful little resturaunt, with such big flavor! My cousin and I split the 501 Burger with Wagyu beef, and the Short Rib Grilled Cheese with a side of fries. Yum is all I can say. Definitely can't wait to go back!

Had a blonde on tap that was good. The lamb and risotto that was absolutely amazing. Wrapped it up with the chocolate chip cookie. Service was attentive but not irritating, really impressed

Since they've reopened as the 501 Park Ave Bistro, we've visited 5 times, each time trying something different. The ambience remains as before, open and inviting. The service, however, has been ratcheted up a much-welcomed notch. Friendly, attentive and professional.

We've tried the wagyu beef sliders, which are highly recommended and can certainly be shared. Perfectly medium rare. My wife has had the ramen with Chinese vegetables (great broth) and the bbq'd pork belly bites (which should come with chopsticks). I've had the amazing seared ahi and, on another visit, the grilled salmon salad (very generous piece of delicious salmon). We've shared the Korean meatballs (authentically spicy) and will do so again. Their wine list is coming together (hoping for an affordable chardonnay) and they have a great local amber ale on tap.

All in all, a great resurrection of the Free Range. It's wonderful to have them back, and doing well.

The service was attentive.
Patio dining in the fresh, ocean air made for an enjoyable evening.
