Very solid record store with a neatly organized and large rock section. If you're new to the scene or this is your one true passionate hobby, this store as well as their staff is a good start!

They have mostly rock, as expected, and a sprinkle of a lot of other genres but it's not as big or diverse as I hoped. This wasn't a big deal though and I always have a good time looking through records. There's a lot of boxes of cheap/used vinyls that you can sift through as well.

The shop guy was sooo nice and friendly and gave some great recommendations to discover new music as well (Thanks for the Robin Trower recommendation). So if you're feeling experimental he'll help you out for sure. He's very knowledgeable and I'd highly recommend asking any questions

I'll check out some more record stored in the area first but I'll definitely be coming back here again after

This place was a very pleasant find. The store is spacious and clean. Though not the biggest inventory, what they do have is great. You should have no problem finding quality albums in many diverse genres. The organization is amazing, which makes browsing a joy. Prices are very fair.

I have yet to check out lotd's new location on Tustin, but I frequented the old 4th St location and loved the punk vibes! For anyone into local punk or old classic scene it was the perfect hang out spot to listen to real records, immerse yourself in your favorite music, and to expand your musical horizons. Oh and the best part by far was how they'd have open mic "nights" where literally any startup punk (or any) bands often started their careers! I'll never forget an awesome one-kid-show in which the youngster played 4-5 instruments (& made a great show) and when I asked him what his inspiration was he responded, "well the homies didn't show up today and I didn't want to cancel."

Yeah only at Left of the Dial!

Best record shop in southern california. Incredibly friendly and knowledgeable staff, huge selection (new and used), and has a great range of modern and vintage equipment (amps, receivers, turntables, etc!)

OGs that aren't steep, do not sleep... Don't overlook the $1 bin. DITC 😉

I don't usually blow my spots but I want this place to thrive as they have a true and humble vibe. Old and new, there's something for everyone. Good genre selection, Rock to Jazz to Hip Hop etc etc etc. Not the biggest space so don't expect to dig for hours and hours, they do have enough to make it worth your while though. That's not to say that you won't leave with 50+ pieces, lol.

Bill it was a pleasure man, you've made a customer for life. For the love of music, everyone's journey is different but they're all worthwhile. Until next time... 🙏✌

Absolutely delightful collection of music on vinyl, the selection of music genres is quite varied. Used records are carefully checked for quality. The owner and staff are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Great shop whether you're just starting a record collection or adding to an established one.

Owner is super nice and helpful. Small but packed with tons of records, new and vintage. Great prices and found some hidden gems. Smaller than the big box record shop but way better!

Really neat place! Lots of new and used records to choose from. Whatever you are looking for more than likely they have it here. Staff is super nice and helpful as well. If there is something you want but they do not have, they will help you find it. Compared to other places record prices are fairly competitive as well

What a great record shop! It's so nice to have a music store on this location again. I used to shop at the music plus in the 80's and the Wherehouse in the 90's, both were in this same spot. Now it's Left of the Dial. Good selection, good prices. I found some gems and will definitely be back!

There is a lot of great things to say about this place. A wonderful and friendly environment. A large Rock section with a decent amount of other genres. Excellent prices, but most importantly it's really well owned and staffed. I had an outstanding experience today and the owner was very nice, generous and welcoming. Three attributes that you unfortunately don't see a lot in record stores. Thanks left of the dial.

Wonderful first time experience! Gave me an ELO record for free because the jacket was trashed. If you're looking for a place to find punk or metal records this is a great place to go. Good selection of local and current releases too!

Awesome selection, also been to a good number of record stores, they have by far the cleanest scratch free albums I've seen in used stuff. Staff friendly and helpful

Came in late, just before closing hour, yet managed to come across a very good selection of vynils at good prices. Came out with a couple of nice Jazz jewels. Didn't have time to go back the following day before leaving, but will certainly make it a must-stop everytime I'm nearby again. The owner was quite ammicable too. Highly recommended spot for vinyl collectors.

Visited Left of The Dial Records for the first time the other day. Bill was very knowledgeable, helpful and patient. I left with a new turntable and several albums as a Christmas gift for my wife. I highly recommend them whether you're new to vinyl or a veteran. Outstanding customer service. Thanks, Bill!

This is it. This is the record store you want to go to. I have never met a nicer, more friendly guy than the owner here. That’s rare to say for any business let alone a record store.

The selection is great; lots of variety but also a place to get the classics. There are often very good deals to be found; found a Vic Chesnutt record from a previous Record Store Day for dirt cheap. Seems to be running nice discounts frequently as well.

I come back not only for the records but for the genuine people that run the place.
