It is difficult to lose a loved one or family member, and through this difficult transition, Betty and Richard were so patient and supportive throughout each step. Our sister, who lived alone, had passed away at home. After the coroner had been called, they then called Warm Wishes Funeral Services, who immediately went to retrieve her body. We met Betty and Richard in their quiet office to go over the different plans and services they provided. We opted for a simple cremation. We appreciated the guidance we were given and highly recommend their company for compassionate and expert care.

We are currently planning funeral services for my Father with Warm Wishes. They have been great with the planning and have been on top of everything, handling the arrangements to dealing with the paperwork required to even have a funeral. They are very reasonable and have made a tough time much more bearable. They provide and great service at very reasonable prices. Thank you Betty and Richard for helping us get through this!

Richard and Betty are wonderful, kind people. My Mom recently passed and the mortuary she signed with many years ago could not take her body because they were “full”. We were told we would have to find place to hold her until space opened up. Hours after losing my Mom, I had to deal with calling several mortuaries begging them to take my Mom and just hold her until space became available at the mortuary she contracted with. When nobody else would, Warm Wishes was able to help. Not only were they able to store my Moms body, but they were warm, caring and kept me notified of when my Mkms body was getting moved and when she was actually picked up. They had no obligation to do this, they knew another company was already paid to perform all of the services needed. In these days where other “larger” mortuaries are full and you need a place to hold your loved one, call Warm Wishes. They are a family operated business and you will never get the run around. They will personally take care of you.

We needed to contact Warm Wishes Funeral Services today because we were directed to them and told they had the remains of our brother who was homeless and had died of Covid. We had been trying to find him for 4 months. Needless to say it was extremely emotional for us. My brother and I were on a conference call with Betty Davis. I can not express enough my gratitude for Betty’s compassion and guidance through a very difficult conversation. She was coordinating a 12 hour funeral ceremony/ celebration of life, but graciously took the time to answer our questions and guide us through the various steps needed to amend the death certificate and take possession of our beloved brother’s remains! We thank you, Betty for the respect and compassion you afforded our brother and your patience and assistance in helping us!

They created a beautiful ceremony for our loved one. we wished to send our loved one to his hometown in Mexico and they were the only ones willing to help us at a low cost. NGÀY ANH TỪ GIÃ CÕI ĐỜI!

Tôi là em kết nghĩa với anh, khi anh mất chỉ vỏn vẹn một mình vì con anh còn tại Việtnam. Vợ anh mất 12 năm trước anh lo cho chị rất chu đáo. Anh nói với tôi: Khi anh chết vợ chồng em chỉ thiêu anh rồi rải tro ngoài biển với chị là đủ. Nhưng chúng tôi nói với anh: “Ngày còn bé cha mẹ anh đưa anh vào nhà thờ “rửa tội” nay chúng em không để anh ra đi mà không vào nhà thờ lần cuối trong đời”.
Khi nhân viên giảo nghiệm tử thi của Quậm Cam cho tôi hay tin anh mất qua phone. Tôi cũng lúng túng, bao suy nghĩ phải làm gì, chọn nhà quàn nào cho anh. Các cuộc gọi qua lại với người thân, bạn bè, nhóm hội của anh liên tiếp không ngừng nghỉ.
Anh có nhiều bạn di cư 1954, bạn cùng khóa sĩ quan, đồng hương v.v..
Điều quan trọng làm sao mọi việc êm thắm, trôi chảy, không qúa sức chịu đựng về mặt tài chánh.
Tôi nghe theo lời khuyên của bà con xa của anh vì có người quen cũng lo việc hậu sự. Tôi ký giấy tờ với họ thế rồi tôi rất nóng ruột mặc dầu anh được di chuyển từ nhà nơi anh qua đời một mình đến Warm Wishes Funeral Services đến nơi “quen biết”, dĩ nhiên tôi phải chi phí cho việc này. Họ cho tôi hay “yên tâm” họ sẽ lo.
Từ hôm anh mất lúc thứ Năm 11:00AM nhưng mãi đến sáng Chủ Nhật họ cũng lo chưa xong về mặt giấy tờ, nhưng không cho tôi hay.
Tôi gọi văn phòng Warm Wishes Funeral Service rất sớm vào sáng Chủ Nhật 7:20AM trước khi tôi đi dự lễ tại thánh đường. Chuông đỗ một lúc thật lâu vì Chủ Nhật nên các cuộc gọi được chuyển giao cho số phôn nào đã sắp sẳn. Tôi được nói chuyện với Chị Nhi. Chị giải thích cho tôi rằng “nhà quàn tôi nhờ” không có những giấy tờ cần thiết nên họ không mang xác anh ấy ra được.
Tôi hỏi lại: Vậy tôi cần những giấy tờ gì?
Chị Nhi cho tôi hay và liệt kê những giấy tờ cần thiết vì con gái của anh còn ở lại Việtnam. Tôi không được nói hoặc khuyên rằng tôi phải làm và có những giấy tờ gì từ nhà quàn do người thân và là bà con của anh quen biết giới thiệu!
Tôi quyết định giao việc hậu sự này cho Warm Wishes Funeral Services.
Công việc và giấy tờ được xúc tiến trong sự thuận lợi của chị Nhi và anh Richard Tan. Tuy nhiên tôi lại bị Mobile Home manager nơi anh ở là một người Hispanish làm khó dễ không cho tôi vào nhà anh để lấy quần áo, v.v.. của anh để thay mặc cho anh cùng số an sinh xã hội để làm giấy chứng tử. Cũng chỉ vì anh không để tên tôi vào những người “lên hệ” khi anh có việc cấp cứu. Anh để tên những người bạn của anh nhưng khi Mobile home manager gọi thì cũng chẳng có ai trả lời, hoặc có thì khi họ vừa nghe phôn qua tiếng anh thì họ liền cúp điện thoại.

Chị Nhi mặc dầu trong tình trạng hồi phục về sức khỏe nhưng chị rất nhiệt tình giúp đỡ tôi cùng anh Richard. Tôi cảm thấy nhẹ nhàng hơn những ngày qua khi đối đầu những sự việc trên.
Rồi con gái anh ở ViệtNam qua cùng với người Dì ruột từ bên Pháp rồi vợ chồng người anh họ cũng từ Canada qua dự lễ tang anh.
Thánh lễ an táng của anh được cử hành tại Thánh đường St. Barbara Santa Ana, CA với cha chủ tế Chánh xứ Giuse Phạm Ngọc Tuấn cùng cha cháu của anh là cha Nicolas Nguyễn Toàn. Người thân, bà con, anh em, con cháu, bạn bè, đồng môn, bạn học, đồng hương, quân đội, xóm giềng của anh tham dự rất đông.
Sau thánh lễ anh được hỏa táng tại Macera Crematory.
Chúng tôi chân thành cảm tạ Qúi cha, Qúi hội đoàn, Qúi bằng hữu, Qúi đông môn, Qúi bà con thân thích, con cháu, Qúi xóm giềng, cùng Warm Wishes Funeral. Đã giúp đỡ, bằng nhiều cách cho anh trong ngày cuối đời của anh.
