Stag Bar + Kitchen

When I was looking for some happy hour specials in the area, I found this place on google reviews. And it certainly did not disspipoint

The beer was pretty standard. $4 for a Coors lite, if a remember correctly. So not a ridiculously good deal, but still quite good, especially for being in Newport Beach, which is a somewhat of an upscale area.

The half off appitizers are what really set this place apart from some of the other places I've been to. I ordered the short rib nachos and they were very filling and quite tasty as well. What really impressed me is that they did not skimp you on the meat. There was a good distribution of all of the ingredients.

It is also the oldest bar in Newport Beach, at least that's what they claim.

Overall, this place is well worth the visit, especially if you visit during happy hour like I did.

Stag bar has a great selection of cocktails and beers. The environment is fun with a cool patio upstairs overlooking part of the beach. There is live music several nights a week which is a plus. I came for bar appetizers and drinks on a Thursday afternoon and it wasn't too busy so the food and drinks were served up quick. The fries and mozzarella sticks are very tasty but the chicken tenders can be avoided as they don't taste like anything special and aren't really worth the money.

Very enjoyable Abel is a great person and keeps place safe love it the service was great and the environment was fantastic. There always that person that makes it enjoyable. You have to remember the staff gives you a place to enjoy the patrons that is a different story and people like Abel that try to keep it safe and enjoyable for everyone.

This is perfect for people that love a good time around other free spirits. There is apparently a juke box too! I wasn't a complete fan of my pizza, but I'd give it a 8/10, good crust! The customer service was quick and we found a table easily, it was just hilarious having this random drunk couple make out next to me in the shared side of the both no shame lmao. So maybe not the most covid friendly, but it's a public bar that was near a random sticker saying COVID is a hoax lmao. You should know what you sign up for lol.

Great customer service and fun laid back attitude of the bar. It was suprising to see when we walked in that it was the oldest bar in orange county. The food is really good and there appears to be a wide variety of options available. I had the breakfast pizza, which was a great new take on a pizza, especially with the added eggs on top. You cant go wrong with the beignets either. Will be sure to return to this bar when I am back in town this summer.

Ashley and Abel we Love your service we felt welcome by both of you and we enjoyed the the spot is a good place to be with friends keep up the good attitude Abel and your great service. The people make the place and you certainly know how to do your job both of you.

This was my first time here at Stag. Mark was awesome. He was the only one serving but he made every effort to make sure everyone had everything they needed. I had my tastebuds dialed up to taste the wings but they ran out. Instead I opted for the bbq chicken pizza with pineapples

Very tasty pizza. I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many pineapples on a pizza before.

Phenomenal food! Great beer! Excellent service! Well run establishment! Jenna was amazing with our party at the table. Alex whipped up some killer goodies in the kitchen ---- try the dirty tots!

One of the best food and fun experiences we’ve had in Newport and we’ve been coming here for years! The food was all made from scratch and delicious! Recently added Bottomless mimosas made the meal! Please ask for Nicole, she was the best! Check out their insanely positive yelp reviews as well! The establishment is all about the customer period!

My favorite place in Newport Beach....staff is super cool, friendly and outgoing. Food is great.

I enjoyed the Jalapeno Watermelon Margarita as well as the New York Sour. Their regular pepperoni pizza slice under the heat lamps was good as well. I came here, though, for the Drunken Pizza, but the kitchen was closed when I got there, around 10:30PM. I visited on a Saturday night and there was a pretty big line out front but it moved quickly.

Very busy on weekends and loaded with 20’s & 30’s and lots of energy!

They have quite a nice selection of top shelf spirits including five from the Van Winkle rick houses!

Love everything! Kelly provided me with excellent service and this bar is a must go! This bar BEATS Balboa Saloon by a landslide!

Our server Victoria was very attentive and checked on us several times. We were here for happy hour so we ordered a personal pizza, wings, and beignets that were all delicious. The draft beer selection was good as well.

They also have pool tables so we played a few games and even took photos in their photo booth.

My wife and I had a great time at Stag bar in Newport Beach. I highly recommend this place.

Such a combination of past and current. Wall of wonderfully kept momentos and pictures of the old days and still a fabulous atmosphere for the current crowd. Service was fantastic. We didn't eat but the pizzas looked scrumptious

Was here 14:30 Sat/2 July. Fast bar service, strong pours ($10.50 vodka soda lime), good food ($12 stag burger + fries or tots).

Christina makes the best michelada north of the border!

Drinks were good. Service was great. Pizza was good but the bottom of the pizza had a lot of black debris. Garlic fries are delicious.

Fun spot, nice drink selection, staff are nice. I did not order food so I can’t speak to that. Worth checking out for the memorabilia and decor.
