Balboa Fun Zone

I recommend bringing your kids here and letting them have fun, I see some other reviews of people saying this is “rundown” but i disagree this is a historic place and should be talked about / taught to kids that way, kids don’t see things that way and judge unless we put those views on them, let them enjoy the history and make memories here. We loved exploring the little shops and going on the Ferris wheel & playing some games we also rented a Duffy boat and watched the sunset on the Duffy, we saw dolphins & sea lions and beautiful views at sunset 🌅 Also love the ferry it’s so iconic and I mean where else can you take a 5 minute fun ferry ride

This was such a cute little boardwalk. It gives vintage California vibes. A great end to a day on the beach, grab some traditional fair food or actual food at the various places. An arcade, a Ferris wheel and cute little stores.

The Fun Zone makes a great addition to beach activities!
Take the kids for the rides, take the visiting folks browsing, boat riding and dining, and take a date for all of the above!
This popular spot is often missed by beach going visitors, unless they see the signage and stop by for a look.
I’d say the Balboa Island Ferry ride is the best deal here, paying the low fare and riding across the harbor channel to Balboa Island and back!
The dockside views are great and boat tours and rentals have lot’s of choices available!
There’s a big lot for parking, and more street side spaces available.

A great day trip for the family. A small arcade. The world's longest ferris wheel 🎡 with a great view. Lots of little shops. Great fair food and restaurants. Catch the ferry to Balboa Island or enjoy a boat ride. Fun floating tiki bars, classic car boats, and chauffeured boat tours.

So much to learn and so much to see! Great day at the Balboa fun zone. We had a day full of activities and ended it on fun not with the mini arcade. Kids learned about whales, sea lions, boats and crabs. We highly recommend this place if to ueant to take your kid out for the day or as a family day. Kids will be entertained and grownups can enjoy a relaxing day at the beach 🏖😎

Highly recommend the Chocolate Covered Bananas. And a walk thru Balboa Island to see the gorgeous homes all decorated for Halloween (a must)!

We stayed in the area May 28th through June 2nd, 2018. The harbor is beautiful and Balboa Fun Zone was fun, small and a little limited but fun. They have a ferris wheel, a jump on a trampoline game, and a few others plus the small arcade. The arcade takes coins between .25 cents and $1.00 to play. As always the winnings are silly and you'll need at least 10 tickets to get one small candy. The ferris wheel was $4, and my kids loved it. Small but worth the ride, beautiful view from the top. The other rides are run by the Discovery cube childrens center and it cost $5 p.p. The discovery center was really great. My 3yr old loved it. The price is for all 3 areas. There are a few places to eat. One ice cream place and one with churros and funnel cake. Yumm. Have fun!

Very beautiful place 💞 it was my first time going and I absolutely loved this place. Its like a very minature version of the santa monica pier. The prices here are good as well. Not expensive at all. I was unfortunately unable to go on the rides since I'm pregnant, but I will definitely come back soon after my son is born and experience this amazing attraction with my family 😁💗

Scenic...thats what came to mind when I visited Balboa Village located in the beautiful City of Newport Beach,California!The whole area is jumping with locals and visitors that come for sun,fun,food,drinks,shopping,walking and people watching on the streets and historical pavillion built by billionaire Henry Huntington! Theres a beautiful beach side marina and beach with plenty of beach recreation activities.Lots to do for everyone that visits Balboa Village!

I used to come here as a kid. Everything is pretty much the same and it's great! Simple rides and a arcade, it's nice to sit on the chairs watching the boats go by while eating a Balboa Bar.

Super cute and fun section of balboa! Every time I’m here, it reminds me of my childhood! I’ll be taking my kids here when I have some!

Took my 10 year old daughter on the 90 minute Harbor Cruise and she absolutely loved it!! We even got to see sea lions hanging out on the buoy! Such a great time!

The ferris wheel was the only thing opened during our visit, it claimed to be the longest ferris wheel ride and it was! The kids really enjoyed it and despite nothing else being opened it was really great!

Nice ‘beach boardwalk-ish’ tourist trap area to visit. Buzzing on the weekend and great hangout on a beautiful day.

Fun area to explore while visiting Newport Beach & the marina! Ride the ferris wheel and you'll get terrific views of the harbor, boardwalk, and bay 😃

Love to spend my Summers here! We always get a unlimited pass for the kids at the fun zone and we have a season pass to the activities the kids can use every summer! We also love Cowifornia for ice cream and across from the candy store gyros are delicious!

I had fun with my son and ate soft serve ice cream and seen friendly people with their friendly dogs!

I took the boat tour from here. Nice! Worth it!
