Tacos Cancun

So went down and checked this place out on a Sunday I mean it’s killer down there. It’s nice beautiful beach. I think the owner was running the register and was super sweet. The tacos were great. The fish tacos, the shrimp tacos and the Asada tacos were all bomb, so I definitely recommend and it says tacos Cancun right in the name.

The fries, rice and beans were bit as good.

So go here, order tacos, and be happy

The woman owner who helped us was very nice and welcoming. Attentive and gave suggestions. Let us know about drinks available at Cabo Cantina.

We ordered a few items and they were good. Shrimp taco was fresh and shrimp flavor was not overpowered by the toppings such as the chipotle sauce. The asada tacos had a good serving of meat, the tortillas so soft they fell apart in your mouth. The meat was so fresh and tasty that a little splash of lemon highlighted the flavor and no salsa was needed. The guacamole was chunky and fresh, we didn’t feel cheated (aka we are Mexican)!

Ambiance was good, not too crowded, and pleasant music in the background (not too loud). Well thought out and well executed beach front restaurant. Bravo!

Conclusion:

Would recommend!! Will come again next time we are in town.

I walked in and I was surprised to see how cheap all the food was (California standards) and I ordered the onion rings and the everyday special (Burger + Fries + Drink for 10.50) and they were pretty good. The food wasn’t master chef food but it was very comforting and fills you up for less, and there are plenty of items on the menu to choose from so a burger and fries were just a taste of what’s to come.

The service was great, the owner was super nice and the chefs were wholesome and cool.

The restaurant is small but the atmosphere screamed artistic so size didn’t really matter. This restaurant is located near the beach so I understand that its main intention was to give beach people more food for less and I like that. So if you want something to fill you up for less, come eat here!

Tina (the owner) is wonderful, the place has a great artistic feel (limited indoor seating but not really an issue with great weather year round).

Service was great, prices were appropriate and flavor very authentic while still having some fun twists for some menu choices.

The grilled fish taco was especially good!

I stopped in with a friend to give this place a chance. I'm glad we did the owner Tina was there to take our order and make us feel at home. The food is good and the owner is delightful. Stop in and give it a try prices are reasonable too.

The owner was kind and accommodating. The restaurant is beach front and still has relatively low prices. Really great food. Some of the favorites: shrimp enchiladas, chicken taco, and the vegan chicken was fantastic. We wouldn't order the carnitas again.

Wow, the food was incredible! I was at the beach for the day and looking for a place with vegan options. Ordered the vegan chicken tacos and was floored at how good they were. Chips and guac were bomb too but those tacos!! Seriously, I would drive back just for those!

Staff was very friendly and service is fast. Food is delicious. Ordered the shrimp taco and asada taco. Sooo good. Perfect location next to beach.

As vegetarians, we were able to order anything we could want from the menu bc there are options for every item. I highly recommend the fries w/soyrizo. 😋

The owner happened to be there and was so sweet. Talked us through our options and gave us tips on her favorite items as a vegan.

We sat outside and got to watch the sunset on the beach. We even brought an extra burrito back to the hotel for snacking. We would go back the next time we're in Newport Beach!

I have to give a shout out to Tacos Cancun in Newport Beach, California. While I was on a business trip from Colorado, I made my way down to the beach to try this place after doing some previous research for Vegan options while I was still in Colorado Springs. This place had a great Vegan menu (and a regular menu) that I was really wanting to try. When I got dropped off, I walked up and was told by the owner Tina that they were closed🥺. I was definitely disappointed because I was really looking forward to trying it for almost 3 weeks. I asked if there were any other Vegan options on the beach and she said not really, immediately after, she said that she would open for me and make whatever I liked because she was also Vegan and didn't want me to leave hungry. I told her that I wasn't picky and that I would take anything that was easy. I definitely didn't want to inconvenience her. She then preceeded to make me a taco plate and gave me some chips and guacamole. I was so appreciative for her efforts, but then she said that she would also make me a burrito to take for later and also gave me another order of chips and salsa to take as well. I I was truly blown away by her hospitality, and the the price was unbelievable too ($20). It was something that I didn't expect in that area.
If you are ever at Newport Beach, I would highly recommend stopping by and showing some love to this awesome woman❤. She has an amazing location too! Literally beach front and directly in front of the Balboa Pier.

So so good! It was such a good option for our family as they had a standard menu for our non-vegan family and a vegan menu with a ton of options for us. The service was amazing!

I do not understand the low reviews. Don't look at these. This place is the bomb! Cheap, nice service and delicious food. If you're lucky you can get a table in outside and eat while enjoying the sun and a beach breeze. The vegan options are great 100% will come again.

Combination of authentic Mexican along with a few American favorites. Food was delivered fast at a good price. The employees were nice. Nothing to complain about at this small, seaside, Mexican restaurant.

Tina was amazing! Great service from a woman-owned restaurant. Even covered a new set of shrimp quesadillas on the house after forgetting g to add shrimp to our first quesadilla.

Highly recommend the Asada tacos and shrimp quesadillas.
