Mama's Comfort Food & Cocktails - Newport Beach

There is nothing like Mama's when it comes to comfort food! Mama certainly knows best when it comes to dishing up creamy sausage biscuits and gravy, eggs and bacon, fried chicken and waffles, and just about anything you can imagine. Their Newport restaurant is in a great waterfront location and offers delicious foods and cocktails they are famous for serving.

Our server was awesome! The food is amazing, and you will be full! The menu is pretty expansive, and a bit overwhelming, but everything is very good.

The service was very good. Amazing views and excellent food. The staff was very helpful since it was our first time at the restaurant. I recommend this place for a clean comfortable atmosphere.

The pancakes and waffles are a must!!! Crispy and hearty; served with both classic syrup and gravy.

Fried chicken is hands down the best I have outside of the South. Just perfectly cooked fried chicken. Gravy is very good and lots of fresh perfectly cooked vegetables
Lots of food. Deep fried prime rib is huge and amazing.

Great place to go if you are not sure what you want and are really hungry. Huge menu and large portions of satisfying comfort foods.

We love Mama's. We come almost everytime we are in town. This time we decided to hit up the Newport Beach location. The food was fantastic. The drinks were okay. The service was great. Wish we would have been prepared that only valet parking was available onsite. It may have been why it was so dead. We'll definitely be back, but probably to the original location where we don't pay to park.

Mama's food is worth every penny, every bite! Although they may seem pricey, I don't complain because everything I have taken home from there and I've always taken food home cuz I can't eat it all, is just as fabulous the next day or later on that evening, depending on when I eat there! I love their food! it's really good, but
it's not an inexpensive restaurant. Same with their drinks! their drinks are good but they're very pricey!

A new happy place! Relaxing Newport harbor water views. Fun tasty menu is priced right. Try the pork and blue cheese sliders! Yummy! With the best Bloody Mary's! Great place to hang out, talk and laugh with family and friends. Oh! And valet parking! Perfect!

Always a great experience. Mama's in Newport Beach is where Via Nova used to be. You can even access it from the bay. Incredible menu always delicious food. My partner and I paddled up to their dock, in our two-person kayak, and ordered a pitch of Mai Tais, and had a lovely time. The staff are friendly, and pleasant. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and atmosphere. Great job!

My wife and I are always looking for a nice family comfort food casual restaurant. We were so excited to find out Mamas was going to open in Newport beach in the old Pizza Nova location. We've been here few times; we live across the street. Always really yummy! The bottomless mimosas for Mother's Day were almost too good! 👍 A Mama's opened near my work and can't wait to take my co-workers there!

Delicious! Just as good as the original. Food was great, as was the service. In fact the service was a little too good, my plate got cleared before I was able to box everything up. However, we had a good experience, and will definitely be back.
