Stewart Title of California, Inc. - Anaheim

After going through dozens of transactions in Southern California during the past 12 years, I ended up thinking all escrow and title companies are the same; slow, careless and with random fee schedules that they adjust only if you get angry. Well, Jade Burrell (and Cindy Fern before her from this same branch) made me change my mind. In the latest transaction, FSBO, no agent involved (gosh I hope we could do agent-free transactions all the time), Jade closed escrow smoothly with no error, no back and forth in 3 weeks. Since then I am telling any agent I see they should work with Jade. She would reply to emails within hours no matter what. Professional, Reasonable fees, clean work. Thanks Jade.

Morgen Beck did an excellent job for closing my loan every thing was great and on time she is the best. Stewart Title company is the best, I work with many title company and with Stewart title company i give 10 stars, I have the best experience with them. The absolute worst experience ever. They have drug the closing out OVER two weeks due to incompetence and the inability to perform the basic service of a title company. Liz Cheng in particular is about as awful, incompetent, and inconsiderate as they come. Please avoid using this company at all costs. If I could give zero stars I could. We are still waiting to close after they put the wrong address on the title originally, and they failed to get signatures for authorizations delaying the process even further. Don’t walk, RUN!

Dont send your business here! I am a lender and I requested the opening of title on a loan and they forwarded my email to their preferred lender to try and take the deal from me then refused to work with my bank. This is so blantally illegal I cant imagine what else they do. After seeing the other reviews I am not surprised. BEWARE!

I do not recommend this company. It took more than one week after my loan funded for them to pay off my previous lender. In addition the money sent to pay off my original loan was short several hundred dollars. To date I am still waiting to find out where is the rest of my escrow. No one from this branch can tell me how much escrow they sent to new lender. The new lenders escrow does not match the escrow detailed in my closing docs. Again save yourself the stress and hassle and go with another title closing company.

Linda never got back to me after checking to see why my mortgage hasn't been recorded. I sent and email and one voicemail. Figures that every time you call, she rejects the call.

They don't even do electronic recording. Crazy...

Do not use this Title Co they can’t do their job! Poor Service you never get a call back. There are many more title company's out there. I will let the Southern California Regional Manager from Wells Fargo to instruct their Loan officers NOT to use Stewart title!
