As my national media consultancy grew in the early 80s, and I was traveling 46 weeks a year, I was able to gain a wonderful and extended way in a distance learning opportunity to enroll in an M.B.A. program at California Coast University. The complete course work took me from 1984-1987 and was richly rewarding being similar to top Universities at that time when distance learning and degree programs were still scant.
From 1987 to 1993, I was able to add another vital piece of education to my portfolio, a Ph.D. in Management. I had great help from Dr Philip Borden and Dr. David Smith as I successfully defended my dissertation.
I am truly grateful for the great and challenging opportunity I had with a terrific and challenging curriculum from the University. And, for other executives in the making, this was an awesome experience to be able to finish my educational objectives and goal!

I absolutely love CCU! I am working on a Bachelor of Science in Business/Marketing and I am proud to say that I am a student at CCU. Now let me tell you why. I love to write, and a large part of my program involves writing essays, and I am totally charged by the challenges I am given by CCU to write. Also, I love the attention I receive from the CCU staff; Taylor is the bomb! I am so happy to be a part of CCU, and I can't wait to roll right into my MBA program next year. If you're looking for the best affordable, accredited, at your own pace, great professors and staff, higher learning institution, CCU is where's it's at!

I earned a batchelors of science in management here. This job helped me earn a managerial position at an Aerospace company. I will absolutely return for an MBA.

I have been enrolled in a doctorate program at California Coast for over a year. This is the best educational experience I have ever had, and I have 4 other graduate degrees. I work and I have several children under age 10, this is completely doable with a busy schedule. I love learning at my own pace with no busy work. No. Busy. Work. My last doctorate degree required multiple weekly forum posts that took 10 hours per week and gave no benefit, in addition to papers and exams. With California Coast, none of my time is wasted. The textbook choices are thoughtful and the exams are well-crafted. I have learned so much and I am enjoying it. The professors provide honest, constructive feedback. It is a phenomenal price, especially if your employer will setup a corporate partnership, and the monthly payments are very doable. I have already recommended California Coast to several colleagues and family members.

I earned my Psychology degree at California Coast University. While the curriculum was rigorous, I felt supported by the faculty and staff at every step in the process. My questions were always answered promptly and in detail.

Great school for someone that has to juggle a full time job and school. I graduated with a bachelors degree in 2014 and it's opened more opportunities for me. Nowadays employers just want a bachelors degree no matter what the field is because to them it proves that you're willing to put in the time and effort to accomplish a greater goal. Having my bachelors degree from CCU has boosted my confidence and career salary by $15,000. Everything is self study at your own pace which I really like as opposed to a quarter/semester system with traditional colleges. The professors are helpful should you have questions and tuition/books are really affordable. If you take shortcuts learning in your education you have no one else to blame but yourself. A degree can get you the interview but it's your knowledge, experiences, and presentation that'll get you the job.

Because of work schedule commitments, there was no way to continue my education in the traditional brick & mortar classroom environment. I have been a student online for my Associates Degree at Kaplan University, my Bachelor's at Baker College and most recently for my MBA at CCU. Every program has it strengths, but I appreciate the ability to drive my education largely at my own pace allowing me to timely finish classes when it fits into my schedule.

As an MBA graduate and now a Doctoral student at CCU, I would never continue my education at this level at a school I did not have 100% confidence in. The professors are fast with grading and question response, as well is the staff. They are always willing to do their utmost to help or assist a student. Many times they go above and beyond what one would expect.

For potential students, you really must evaluate if online learning is for you, if you need teachers and students to fuel your motivation level, ANY online college may not be for you; but if you can motivate yourself and know online learning is for you, don't hesitate!

I am a veteran and there has never been an issue with their benefits for veterans, take advantage of what you have earned. Busy adults with full-time jobs, you can do it too, you decide what, where, and when you can complete the work, especially if you know the pain of having to participate in a chatroom at a specific time, not here; you are in control of your destiny, as education should be!

CCU is one of the most affordable accredited colleges I have researched, and I did a lot before deciding to go back to school...again. If you have any questions, ask them, the staff are excellent and leave nothing to chance, this University has done nothing more than expanded my career options, knowledge base and prospects. If you want a degree, you should go and get it!

Don't be fooled though, online learning can be harder than traditional learning and it may take you a little time to get used to it, but don't suffer needlessly, call the school, ask for assistance, see what they can offer and work with you on. Too many people complain they feel alone in their education, but nothing could be further from the truth, they are letting you be responsible for your education!

I completed bachelors and masters degrees at University of Toronto and also began my doctorate there. Due to work and family commitments, I was unable to continue. Many years later, I decided to complete my doctorate, searching for an on-line option. I was happy to find CCU and determined they had the necessary staff and quality of program. I completed my EdD there in 2012. Doing a doctorate by distance is no joke. Since I did not have local support, it was all on me and my advisor to get it done. The dissertation was difficult but there was plenty of support from CCU. I found it equivalent to doing doctoral work at U of T.

Outstanding Experience. I am the spouse of a veteran, the staff in charge of VA benefits are AWSOME! Every month my benefits were deposited without any issues or delays. The small Staff and Remote Teachers (as compared to other colleges) allow the Tuition to be more than affordable. My advice is NOT to pay the Minimum $100 per month because at the end of the program you can Not get your degree untill All tuition has been paid. With the "edu" Student Email Amazon Prime is discounted. There is also a Honor Society, with benefits.

I received an MBA from CCU in 2015.... The degree positioned me for a better position and more pay. You have to be self motivated. It is a school designed for working adults. Communication was prompt throughout my time with CCU

Perfect for a traveling business person like myself. It is self paced and worth the investment. I visited the university for a tour and meet the professors and staff when I graduated.
I’ve been promoted twice since graduation and it has really made a big difference in my life.

I graduated with an MBA in 2000. I was living in Lexington, Kentucky at the time and bought my textbooks from the main University of Kentucky campus store. The flexible program fit in well with my job and I learned a lot. CCU is truly what you make of the experience.

CCU is an excellent school and their online program is structured for working adults. I have received a BS and MBA from them. The best part is that their programs are very affordable.

I am disappointed to see troll reviews from some who either don't understand online education or who have an agenda. Some, it appears, are not and never have been students there. Online isn't easy. In fact, in some ways it's more difficult than traditional brick & mortar. CCU is one of the pioneers of distance education before DE was universally accepted. They held full CA State Institutional Approval for 20 years before receiving national accreditation. Their cost model is low and their student-centric model is a joy for flexible, adult learning. CCU's national accreditation is recognized by US DOE and the the Council of Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) in DC. I earned several advanced business degrees there over the course of 10 years which augmented my traditional degrees and kept me competitive in my industry. I'll always have fond memories of that experience and those accomplishments.

CCU is designed for the working professional. I earned my Doctorate back in 1997 and have graduate degrees from Old Dominion University and Virginia Commonwealth University. I found CCU to be challenging and rewarding.

In 1989 I received my Ph.D degrees at California Coast University after 31 years I want to thank this university for the opportunity to grow professionally. I am very proud of the education received at that time.
It is the responsibility of men and women to put together tools given for each scenario in our life.
I am very grateful for the opportunity, for the very challenges course work, strictly and hard testing method and very demanding process for getting done my Dissertation, which are the fingerprint of the time of my enrollment, "noting was given a gift for granted".

Sincerely

Excellent University for those that did not have 4 years after high school to pursue a degree. In particular military members. California Coast's bachelor's degree program was the icing on the cake for my resume and career!
