Vicci Bakery Cafe

My friend and I were in town on vacation for the week and saw amazing reviews for here so we decided to check it out. It was beyond amazing! The owners are extremely warm and knowledgeable about their coffee and food. Everything is fresh and homemade. I highly recommend their crepe made from their grandma’s recipe. It was so good that we went every morning during our trip and ordered different things. Everything was so delicious. Definitely stop by if you’re in town!!

Come for the crepes, stay for... the crêpes. We stopped in for lunch, and found this fantastic, friendly bakery. I had the Florence crêpe, and The Lovely Bride had the Paris Morning. Both were amazing.

Well worth the visit if you're ever in the area.

All of the staff were very friendly and the food tasted even better than it looks! We're just visiting from Phoenix, but we will definitely be coming back again while we're here. Highly recommend you check it out!

An Absolute Gem!
The family owned business is amazing! We went before and again after our whale watching tour. The coffee is excellent, especially with a bit of caramel added! The family was so gracious - we ordered 2 macaroons and they gave us an extra 6 on the house, along with 2 complimentary muffins. The family is lovely, the coffee excellent, and both of the sandwiches were delicious (turkey, and Caprese). Very nice, clean atmosphere. Would travel back to Newport to visit again - I could not recommend this place enough!

Such a great place in the heart of Balboa Village. The food is incredible. The pastries are absolutely beautiful and the freshly made crepes are some of the best I've ever had. The cafe is very attractive and clean and is a family business with everyone so nice and friendly. I highly recommend and hope they do well and stay open for my next visit. Definitely check them out if you are in Newport Beach. My only regret is not finding them sooner so I could have tried more items. The paninis look delicious.

Slow service but great coffee and food cover the difference. Changed 4 star to 5 star since the slow service was due to Covid-19 staff shortage

Vicci is a home of truly exquisite European flavors! From coffee to pastries and everything in between is delicious! Rachel (the chef) puts so much love into her soups that it will nourish your soul and then your stomach. As a dietitian, I admire food business owners who use organic ingredients to keep our communities healthy. Amazing food, excellent service, and cozy atmosphere will always keep me coming back for more.

The best breakfast I’ve had in a very long time by far! This place takes pride in the products they put out and it shows. My friend and I ordered the frittata to share, and so glad we did, plenty of food! The second after it was delivered to our table, 4 people stopped to admire the dish and asked us what we ordered. Beautiful presentation with knowledgable and friendly staff to top it off. This place is a gem. Kudos to Victor and his family!

Newly opened bakery/cafe, very friendly and attentive staff! We had the Lavazza Cold Brew and the Peach Blossom tea and both were fantastic. We didn’t have the pastries, but they looked great and they mentioned they’re made in house with several gluten free options. Highly recommend!

Incredible food and service! Made a decision to come here based on the reviews and they held up. The atmosphere is delightful, quiet little cafe, perfect even just for the hot tea. Came in for lunch and ordered a couple paninis. The portions were larger than expected, so much I did not finish the other half of the sandwich, however that was also because of the Vicci waffles that were ordered. The presentation on these waffles were beautiful and definitely social media worthy, and the taste came in to match. I admittedly finished the waffles before my panini but I couldn’t let them go to waste. I can’t forget to mention the side salad that came with the panini either. All over 5 star and can’t recommend enough.

The food was phenomenal. Not only delicious but presented in a beautiful manner. And the family that runs it are so kind and welcoming. So thankful we stumbled upon this cute cafe! You won’t be disappointed!

Excellent food and coffee. Everything they serve is superb. As a new business in this spot they need to figure out how to speed up getting the orders and getting the right order to the right customer. The quality of the food still grants them a 5 star.

I had the Pacific Cruise for breakfast and loved it. It came with a choice of salads. I chose the tabbouleh and it was very tasty. We love to come to Balboa on weekends and go for a long walk and then have breakfast. I can’t wait for next weekend as we will be back!

I adore this new addition to the Newport Beach pennisula. I’m especially fond of the tea and a yogurt parfait ‘s. I can tell you that everything is absolutely delicious very very high-quality and up to my standards LOL.

I love food and around down by the Balboa pier where this place is located, the selection is quite limited. For me this place hits the spot! The owners are quite wonderful people as well... u know the kind of business u hope does well especially opening during a pandemic!!

Pretty “Ballsy” move if u ask me. They however will be fine bc their food is an absolute standout ... cheers to a job well done!
