El Pollo Norteño Santa Ana East 1st

I stopped by and got the family combo platter with carnitas, asada and pollo. It was 🔥. Make sure to order both refried and charros beans with your order. I highly recommend. Chicken was super flavorful. Staff was friendly and hospitable. I'll definitely come back when in orange county.

I picked up my order shortly before they closed which made me anxious because usually when people are ready to go home they serve slop so they can leave. But they waited until I got there and the food was amazing! I'm picky with al pastor but their al pastor taco was fuego! I also ordered the two piece chicken combo with beans and rice. It was very good too! Everything was flavorful from the main entree all the way to the sauces! My only regret is not trying them sooner.

Five stars for the mesquite grilled chicken. Better flavor than El Pollo Loco and slightly more generous portions sizes.

The food was amazing!

I was attending a weekend retreat in the area and came across El Pollo Norteno. I have to say this is hands down the best chicken I have ever had! The succulent flavors of their chicken is a true achievement worthy of praise. I have had my fare share of bland, boring chickens and to have something as surprising as El Pollo Norteno chicken is something you won't easily forget. It's very obvious that they take great pride in their food, from the beans to the rice and tortillas... you can taste the love. Their staff (Luis) are very helpful and welcoming in making sure you feel right at home. If you happen to order any of their wet burritos, be sure you are hungry cause they can easily feed 2-3 people and the wet burritos pack just as much flavor as their signature chicken. After the retreat ended, I stopped by again to order a whole chicken combo to take home... so you can guess what I am having for lunch today!!

We have use El Pollo Norteño the past two years for our end of the year senior dinner and they and been very professional, prepared and the food was awesome. They catered our event which has about 120 high school students and staff. The lines for the street tacos was fast and efficient. I would give them my highest recommendation

I got to work early and I was kinda hungry and not knowing the area, I needed to find some place close by and fast, so I could take it to work. I did like everybody does, I asked Goggle and it gave me a few recommendation and just so happens right across the street where I was working. I had a wet Carnitas burrito, it came with a salad so I'm assuming it was considered a dinner. The price was right, the Carnitas burrito tasted good. If that was a same of what the food tastes like, I would recommend it to everybody I know.

I always liked their chicken and beans!! This time I tried one of their burrito (carnitas) major taste explosion!! Tasty tender pork!! Tasted like I purchased in urapan Mexico!! Never forgotten the flavor!!

The best grilled chicken in town. Authentic Mexican grilled and marinated to perfection. Mesquite wood fired! Try the onions and their delicious salsas!

The chicken here is perfect! Flavor and moist texture probably makes it the best chicken I've had.
