Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT!

BEST RIDE at Disney without a doubt. We weren't expecting such massive drops compared to the smaller ones on Tower of Terror. Very happy that Disney is starting to make scarier thrill rides. It was an incredibly memorable experience for all.

The design of this ride is really cool. The length is satisfying as well, there are plenty of drops every time. Be prepared for lots of ups and downs on this ride. The wait tends to get pretty long later in the day so I would recommend hitting this ride at a time other than the peak busiest hours.

Was finally able to ride this one (usually there's a massive line, sometimes reaching up to 90 minutes)

I didn't expect so many drops! I think there's about 5 to 6 drops that occur consecutively.

It's a great ride, but I suggest thinking twice if you're not into rides that involve purely vertical drops.

I'm not familiar with the Guardians of the Galaxy but I must say ride this only if you are free of any physical problem that they list. This ride is vicious! You are on a rescue mission to save Rocket's fellow guardians.

You are assigned seating by rows and must wait for your lift to come to ground level. You are strongly advised to secure everything and believe me they mean it. I didn't even have my glasses on and really couldn't even tell when they took our picture.

Time after time our elevator car dropped only to be hoisted back to the top and dropped again. I'm not sure how many free fall drops we experienced but it was quite a number of them. The special effects and videos are very immersive and put you into the heart of the action. Since there are 6 different storylines to experience no two rides are exactly the same. However in the end the rescue mission proves to be a success.

Recommend use lightning lane since this attraction is so popular!

My favorite part of this ride is the environment. Your like in a room from The Collector and there’s weird stuff everywhere. Some of the content I think was a little too graphic, like a jar of brains and intestines and stuff. It fit with the theme but for little kids maybe a bit much. I love all the subtle things in the collectors, like Star Lords Walkman.

THIS IS MY FAVORITE RIDE AT DISNEY! The wait is so worth it! For this ride, you are on a mission to break the Guardians of the Galaxy out from being captured by The Collector. Rocket, who broke out, needs your help to get security clearance to inact his plan. Once he's "in", he blows up something, and your gantry lift "breaks", and drops you about 200 feet. After that, there are other shenanigans that take place, and you are repeatedly lifted and dropped. I normally don't like rides that drop, but I really enjoyed this ride! I highly recommend it!

A personal favourite, liked it better as terror towers but still thrilling to ride.

Favorite ride in the park. I feel like it’s an upgrade to its predecessor of tower of terror. So the ride line experience of the collector and all the marvel items are really cool, then rocket raccoon makes the ride a real story.

I expected to be massively disappointed by the retheme of Guardians of the Galaxy, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was far better than I could have imagined. The attention to detail the line has is incredible and I would consider this among the best rides in both parks.

Awesome ride! This was my first time on this ride and had no idea what to expect. I pretty much held on to my seat the whole time. The wait went by pretty quick and I loved everything about it. The way they designed the ride and the details are amazing. It definitely became one of my favorite rides on California Adventure.

I'll be honest— when they first rethemed this ride, I didn't get it, and I'm a massive Marvel fan. I preferred, and still do in some regards, the Tower of Terror theming. But now with Avengers campus being open, it just makes sense. Whole ToT was creepy with its ambience, Mission Breakout truly is the superior ride.

There's so much detail to take in, starting from the moment you cast your eyes on this looming building. On your way into the queue, you notice alien goo splattered across the ground. And once you're inside the collectors collection, you get overwhelmed from how much there is to take in. Make note of the little Figment he has locked in one of those little boxes.

There's plenty to look at on the elevators as well and adds to the re-rideability of this attraction; both elevators have different goodies hidden in those glass cases.

The actual ride itself is brilliant and it's fun seeing not only what song you'll get, but what cutscenes and drop sequences. The drop sequences are always changing up. We rode it four times in a row and somehow got different songs each time which was really awesome.

While it's not as intimidating and eerie as ToT used to be, it's super fun and that Rocket animatronic is AMAZING. Imo one of Disney's best yet.

This experience is worth the wait for theme park and MCU fans. The lines here are an experience as well, making the queue feel shorter than other rides.

For me personally, if I only had one ride at California adventure I would choose this. I personally love the re-theme to guardians of the galaxy as twilight zone never was something I was in to as a kid. From the second this started to the time it ended I couldn’t stop laughing. It’s super fun and repeatedly launches you up and down. Over and over again. Love it!

One of the best Rides EVER! It was so fun I was crying of joy.I went during Halloween And got to go on the regular mission breakout then I got to ride Monsters after dark.Monsters after dark is one of the best overlays ever.This ride is one of the most fun,Enjoying,and funniest rides in the world.

I was bummed when they got rid of the tower of terror, until I went on the guardians of the galaxy and it’s so much better. I am one that gets motion sick easily so I can’t ride it that often because it makes me sick, but it is a super fun ride when ever I do ride it. It goes up and down quite a bit and it’s cool how they converted everything over to the guardians of the galaxy.

Guardians Of The Galaxy Was Very Fun And My Family Enjoyed It We Were 14 In Total And We Got 4 Lines It Seats 4 Per Person In The Front Rows 8 At The Back We Were Seated In The Front No Photography Allowed It Was Exactly How It Was The Last Time Every-ride But The Music Is Different Every Ride The Ride Consists Lots Of Drops And Shouting The Photo Is At The Part We’re To Doors Open I Made A Pose And It Was Amazing!!!!

This one is the scariest one I've been on but it was a lot of fun and it is my personal favorite! The way it drops and raises at extreme speed is the best! I felt like I was flying out my seat with only my seatbelt holding me back it was amazing!

Can I please give this more than 5 stars?!?! BEST RIDE EVERRRRR!!! Try to go at night for great views! The wait is usually very long for this ride so try to come early morning or late at night. HAVE FUN!

Awesome experience! The theme changes from day and night. After Dark well worth your time. Check app for wait times, it's very important to do. A lot of hidden messages in the signage. Excellent customer service.

Absolutely the BEST ride in either Disneyland or California Adventure. I think we rode this 16 times during one trip before the days when it got really crowded at DL.
