The agents at Ubuntu Travel provided us with a magical and unforgettable experience in Africa! Prior to our trip, they spoke extensively with us about our wants, needs, and expectations and used that information to customize the perfect experience for us. Our trip included 4-day stay in Cape Town followed by visits to Victoria Falls and four different game camps. Throughout the trip, Ubuntu checked-in with us regularly to ensure that all was going well. Due to their careful planning, every transition went flawlessly and our experiences in each locale were of the highest standards. The trip not only met her expectations, but far exceeded them and we cannot recommend Ubuntu more highly!

The Ubuntu team made our safari + beach honeymoon extra special. They were a pleasure to work with and my wife and I found their knowledge of Tanzania and Kenya to be helpful in the planning process. Rather than steering us to stay at certain lodges or take part in certain excursions, Leah, Kyle, and Jenna took a collaborative approach to come up with a trip that best aligned with our interests. We had a lot of questions and found that their responsiveness over email and text made it an easy decision to want to work with them. Furthermore, we typically like to plan trips on our own so working with a company that was as organized as us allowed us to feel at ease.

We also appreciated the pre-honeymoon luggage and hats that they sent us. Highly recommend Ubuntu for your next trip to Africa. Thanks for all you did to make it so memorable!

I cannot recommend Ubuntu Travel enough. They did a wonderful job helping us plan our 2-week honeymoon throughout South Africa and Botswana. Safari can be rather nuanced when taking into account booking all of the lodges, handling transfers between camps and getting from point A to point B. I consider myself a pretty seasoned traveler and enjoy planning trips on my own, but I knew having an extra helping hand in making the perfect Africa trip happen would be worth it. I am so grateful we decided to go with Ubuntu.

Kyle, Leah and Jenna - along with the rest of their team located in Africa - were super hands on and quick to respond the entire time. They gave us multiple options up front during the planning stage, and once we committed to a specific itinerary, they made us feel so comfortable and prepared leading up to our departure date. While in Africa, they were in consistent communication to ensure we were taken care of.

If you're considering a trip to Africa but don't quite know where to start, or if you're looking for a travel agent to give you a full end to end tailored experience, give them a call. Ubuntu Travel is as good as it gets.

Absolutely cannot recommend Ubuntu enough! After planning a wedding, the last thing I wanted to do was plan our honeymoon. Leah worked closely with us to capture both my mine and my husband's wants and needs, and she came back with multiple options to work with our budget. We ended up going to Cape Town, 2 different Safaris, and ended 2 week honeymoon at an island off of Mozambique. From the second we landed in South Africa, we were taken care of. We didn't have to think about a thing, and if we needed anything at all I knew that Jenna and team were ready to assist. Everything was top notch: our lodging, tours/tour guides, food, etc. I wouldn’t do a trip like this any other way, and we will definitely be using them again in the future!

Originally, we knew we wanted both safari and beach, but had little knowledge in terms of best places, time of year, etc. They helped us evaluate East Africa and South Africa trips and then ultimately crafted our ideal itinerary across Tanzania, Kenya, and the Seychelles. My husband used Ubuntu to plan our honeymoon (it was a surprise for me) and the trip was absolutely incredible. We went to Rwanda, the Serengeti and Zanzibar over the course of 2 weeks. From the big picture to the tiny details, every single aspect of it was impeccable. The personal touches and people who helped us along the way (driver in Rwanda, Serengeti game driver, staff at hotels/lodges) were beyond anything that I could imagine. We were able to completely enjoy ourselves and not worry about any logistics, as they took care of all of the details (e.g., when we arrived in a new place by plane, someone met us and would take care of our passports/visas, bags, and transportation to the next lodging). The pampering we experienced at each place was also top notch. I think the fact that Ubuntu is a small agency and they have first hand experience of all of the trips that they plan differentiates them from other, larger travel agencies. A couple we met on our vacation had some issues with their travel agency dropping the ball or not listening to what they wanted, and this just drove home how fantastic Ubuntu was. I truly wish they covered more areas and we could use them for every trip, as any future trip will now pale in comparison!

My wife and I had a truly wonderful experience on our 2+ week honeymoon planned by Ubuntu Travel. We traveled to Kenya, Tanzania, and Zanzibar. Traveling to Africa can be a daunting endeavor on its own; planning it is a whole other story. Jenna and Leah, of Ubuntu, tediously worked out every detail of the trip prior to leaving, ensuring that there would be no unpleasant surprises along the way. They offered us the flexibility to make changes to the itinerary prior to finalizing the final trip’s agenda.

From the moment we landed every experience was exceptionally organized in a streamlined fashion. Every service provided by Ubuntu’s contracted companies demonstrated excellent customer service. All the background work done by Ubuntu allowed my wife and me to truly immerse ourselves in the beauties that Africa has to offer. Each accommodation lived up to the hype. The way we were treated left us feeling like celebrities at every stop we made. Everyone was so hospitable and kind. It was truly an unforgettable and unique experience that will never be replicated.

Our trip to Rwanda, Northern Serengeti and Kenya was seamless. We felt safe and well cared for every step of the way. Our trip was everything and more that we hoped for!

This review has taken far too long but given my wife and I had the honeymoon of a lifetime, we wanted to complete it! From our first conversation with Leah, we were provided amazing advice, comfort, and service. Given weather conditions and flight delays, we missed 3 days of our trip and nearly called off our travel plans out of frustration. Leah, Jenna, Josie, etc. kept us informed, motivated, and optimistic. Ultimately, we elected to go and visited South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Mozambique. On our voyage, we ate fantastic food, cruised the Zambezi River, stayed in a luxury tree house, and saw all the big 5 on safari (just a sample of the awesome experiences)! Each step of our trip was curated (e.g., with drivers, transfers, in-app directions, etc.), and we always had access to an Ubuntu team member. Again, we cannot stress the level of service the team provided. Thank you for such a special trip!

We worked with Ubuntu Travel to plan our honeymoon journey to Kenya and Tanzania. They have a wealth of knowledge of where to go to get the best experiences and the camps/resorts they recommended all turned out to be phenomenal. They also provide a detailed individualized itinerary and provided advice and assistance in the pre-trip planning process as well. 10/10 would recommend.

We are very experienced travellers but being my first trip to Africa I wanted some professional help in planning our safari as I was concerned it could be quite complex with bush flights and transfers between lodges. Kyle, Leah and Jenna were incredible from start to finish and the whole trip ran seamlessly. Nothing was too much trouble and communication whilst we were in Africa was exceptional. My wife and I planned our honeymoon to Africa with Ubuntu. The trip was tremendous. Leah was our trip planner and she worked tirelessly to get us the trip of our dreams. During planning, we made major alterations to the trip several times in terms of dates and budget as we learned more about Africa. Leah was with us every step of the way, quickly adjusting to what she thought the ideal trip would be, and providing excellent recommendations. Without experience, booking a safari vacation can be difficult, and Ubuntu made this process fun and easy. Would absolutely recommend.

While I didn't get to go on the trip, I did plan it for my principle and family, and I have to say, this was one of the easiest trips I have ever worked on... and there have been a lot. Planning a wedding AND a honeymoon to immediately follow isn't easy. I'm SO glad we worked with Ubuntu to take the honeymoon planning off our hands. We reached out to many travel agencies, but knew immediately from our first encounter with Leah that Ubuntu was right for us. The care they took to string together *all* of our wishlist items into the perfect honeymoon was so incredible - and in less than 3 months at that!
Thanks to them we were able to visit Cape Town, two lodges at Phinda Private Game Reserve in South Africa AND the Great Migration in Tanzania. They really made it happen! For first time safari-ers, we felt completely taken care of and our honeymoon had so many special surprises at each destination. It was an incredible trip with nothing but highlights, and thanks to Ubuntu we were able to relax each day knowing our itinerary & logistics were entirely taken care of. We cannot speak more highly of the experience we had with Ubuntu! They planned a spectacular honeymoon for my wife and I through South Africa and Zimbabwe, and we had the greatest time! Jenna made sure that no detail was overlooked. Every hotel, lodge, transfer, and tour guide was planned to make sure we enjoyed every minute of our trip. The Simbavati Hilltop Lodge and Sabi Sabi Bush Lodge were two different safari lodging experiences, but we thoroughly enjoyed both. Our Capetown tour guide, Rob, was knowledgeable and we had a great day while he drove us to the Cape of Good Hope and Boulders Beach.

Kyle, Leah and Jenna planned the perfect vacation for us in Rwanda and Tanzania. The accommodations were great, the food was excellent, and the service was even better.
