Watson's Soda Fountain & Cafe

Really cool place and good food. They have lots to pick from on the menu and the decorations throughout the restaurant were very different and a great fit for the theme. The food came out pretty quick and was a good price for what you got.

One last visit before this 100+ year old iconic place closes. Rent hikes and endlessly rising food prices are sadly bringing an institution to a close. Go while you still have a chance! *Our server, Lauren, was an absolute joy.*

This place is super nostalgic. What makes the atmosphere even better is the great food that comes with it! Extremely generous portions for both appetizers and entrees. The shakes are delicious and several flavors to choose from. There id a full bar with a plethora of beer on tap. Service is very good. Clean restaurant and bathrooms. If you don't have time for table service, their is an ice cream and cookie shop at the entrance.

This place was amazing. The food was good and pretty original, at least compared to places I've been. Their brussel sprouts appetizer was amazing. The chili was good and had almost a refreshing taste. Our waitress was phenomenal. Their fountain drinks were very good. I ordered a Coke and loved it because it did not have that strong sting Coke sometimes has.
The bakery side of things was great as well. Brownies tasted fresh and the cashier(s) were super polite and pleasant. Plus any places that has Star Wars themed things will always get 5 stars.

The decorations inside are all original decorations from the pharmacy that was there before. It was a neat place, and definitely somewhere I will return if I'm ever in Orange again.

Overall, a well kept and interesting place with good service.

so i actually didn’t come here to eat, i came here for a photoshoot for a couples 3rd anniversary and i just want to say the staff there are AMAZING. so kind and everyone in the restaurant was congratulating the couple. thank you so much for being so kind. such a cute restaurant and such a fun vibe. we loved the milkshake bar and i didn’t try it but the milkshake the couple had looked delicious!!! loved it. thank you

I went on Saturday and was blown away by their food! If was so delicious! I recommend coming there this week prior to Saturday! I only went there a couple times in my life and I wish that I went more. Good luck guys! ❤❤❤

Been here two times so far with Mom. They're open for inside dining table service. The Waitresses are always very very sweet . Burgers come out absolutely perfect the way we've ordered them, each time. It is now our favorite burger joint🍔

First timer!! We seen this place driving down Chapman on our way to the Irvine Christmas Train. Great food and awesome service. Everyone was very nice. The only complaint I had was how slow the food came out, but once I got my food I forgot all about the wait. The deliciousness of the food helped me forget about waiting. I reccomend this place highly. Fun atmosphere and one of the best monte christos I have ever had.

Great atmosphere! Really cool decor! The staff was friendly and the food was terrific. Was kid friendly with large selection for kids and adults. They have a nice patio and tons of indoor seating. We had a blast and would recommend to anyone. PS- we had the 50/50 shake and it was AMAZING.

Amazing atmosphere and super friendly staff. A lil pricey but totally worth it. If you want great burgers go here.

Haven’t had their food yet but came in for some ice cream. Loved their ice cream rich creamy and tasted so fresh great way to end my day. The service here is fantastic and tons of antique displays to admire. Place is super clean and I mean what else can you ask from them. Def recommend this place to everyone check them out

Awesome service and great food. Manager allowed us to stow our road bikes inside to keep them safe.

I was blown away that this place uses marbled rye! My Reuben sandwich was much better than expected, considering its tourist location. I also got a custom-made, 1/2 chocolate, 1/2 mint chip shake, served with a smile. The ONLY turn-off was the narrow, chronically-clogging straw. So, BYOS😀

Watson’s is a historic mainstay of old town Orange, California!! It’s the oldest soda fountain in all of California!!! When you step foot in this beautiful place, you’re immediately taken back to the vibrant culture of the 1950s in America!! The bar too has been expanded and they now have a great coffee bar called Kiki’s Corner inside as well! Next time you’re at the Orange Circle, you HAVE to check it out!!

Really good cardiac burger that may really give someone a heart attack. But very delicious. Great service, can't ask for more.

What a great place. So many nostalgic items to look at. The food is excellent and the service wonderful. We had the patty melt and the Monte Cristo sandwiches "both were awesome" huge menu something for everyone.

Went there for this mega ice cream treat - the 9th Wonder of the World - a fish bowl filled with tons of ice cream and candy!! The concept alone is worthy of 5 stars. The one we had didn't have chocolate per our request, but it normally has two fudge brownies too. We got the chocoloate on side. It was probably too much ice cream for two people, but that didn't stop us from trying! Also, the service was really good.
