Avila's El Ranchito - Orange

I've been to multiple Avila's location. This is become a must stop when I visiting from Washington!

The way the staff welcomes you and the unique atmosphere of the place, reminiscent of an old church, really seem to make each visit special. It’s not just about the food, which clearly is a highlight with the famous caldo and the must-have crispy taco, but also about the feeling of connection and warmth that turns a simple meal into a memorable occasion. The streak and garlic shrimp is also another favorite of mine.

It’s wonderful to find such a gem during my travels from Washington. I plan to have many more visits to Avila’s. With the goal to visit all of there locations.

This was a very beautiful restaurant. The food was very tasty and fresh. The salsa and guacamole were flavorful and delicious. They have a bar towards the back of the restaurant and plenty of space (with an additional dining room for larger parties). You can still see what seems to be a church-like atmosphere. Very spacious. Tall ceilings. Beautiful. Would recommend to any foodie or someone looking for a unique place to eat authentic Mexican food.

Food was great, service was friendly and fast. Food came out super hot and everything was as ordered! We appreciated the dog friendly patio - they brought a water bowl and water for our pup. Menu was broad - there’s sure to be something for everyone! The chips and salsa were also very tasty.

We absolutely love coming here. This location is inside a Historical Church Building. It’s just beautiful.
The staff is over the top wonderful, the food is outstanding.
The dining room is always clean and comfortable, and the outdoor patio is wonderful, clean, and weatherproof. The bathrooms, although difficult to access for someone with mobility issues, are always clean and well stocked.

Fantastic place to go for date nights or family time. They even have a separate dining area for parties or large group events.

The food was very authentic. Hot,very tasty food. Chips were warm added bonus. Salsa was great. Margaritas were not so good tasted like it was out of a bottle and it separated. Sent them back.

I've been to this brand but first time at this location. It's a converted church (not lost on I or my friend with our antics) and it's stunning. The stain glass is breathtaking!
The service was outstanding! We were there for a few hours talking, talking and talking since it had been forever since last together. The waiter and bus staff were sensational to us. The food was delicious! Had a beef quesadilla and chicken fajitas. Just YUM! Still a reasonable price and huge portions. Special shout-out for their homemade salsa. Has a great bite and loaded with fresh ingredients. I should have brought some home!

Went here for my birthday and it was our first time. The food is really good.

I love the atmosphere are becoming go there. Seeing the Elvis memorabilia is a welcoming sight since I had been to
Graceland and it brings back wonderful memories. Our food was delicious. We were a party of four and ordered four different dishes to share. The servers are always pleasant, smiling and happy. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

My daughter and I got there a little close to closing, but they sat us anyway and when we tried to rush and get to go boxes so they could close, we were told to take our time and enjoy our food. Very nice staff. Great food amazing service

Went there with family and friends and they were able to accommodate us (party of ten two kids) within 10 minutes of getting there. (No reservation). Food was really good and the service was awesome. Salsa was really good too. It's next to the orange circle and we were able to walk around after dinner and check out other places. We will be back.

Just outside the Orange Circle this Avila's was once a church from what I understand. Went their recently and the staff was extremely courteous and attentive. As always their chicken tortilla soup was fantastic, their chips were warm and tasty, and the salsa ranks pretty high. Take your dog and sit on the patio, they have heaters.

Tastes like your mother's cooking. The rice and chillie relleno reminded me of childhood. I really enjoyed the chicken enchilada!!! Definitely an unexpected delight found in a moment of hunger. The is a lot of staff so the tableware is always being cleaned up. Only advice is to be careful with the traffic. For what appeared to be a quiet street the drivers were erratic.

Beautiful place. Old church turned restaurant. For the vegetarian the avocado burrito was filling and delicious. Service fast !

This is a great hidden gem in old town Orange. Service is always fast, and the staff is very friendly. The food is really good quality, and the guacamole is a nice size for the price! Patio seating is great for people watching.

I swear this restaurant brought our food out so fast I thought it's was a mistake until they said our order I mean everything about this place says excellence from the restroom to service ooh an please don't forget the food can you say PERFECTO!!!! 🔥 Everyone here on the same page they see your drink almost empty their sitting a fresh one down just as you sit the empty one down.. I definitely recommend this place to any one who's a El Torito fan go here I bet you reevaluate your decision..... Fresh chips an Salsa.. You can't go wrong.. A definite 15 out of 10 to me.....🙌🏾❤🔥🔥🏆

The food was fantastic- fresh and authentic. Service was great and is provided by multiple staff. Very attentive. Atmosphere is very cool and prices very reasonable.

The food is fresh and delivered within 5 minutes. They have the most attentive staff equal to or better than a 5 star restaurant. Their chips and salsa are fresh and hot. The fajitas can’t be beat. This is our favorite eatery bar none. You will never have to ask for a refill. Again, the staff is the best

Great family experience. Been to this location for birthday celebrations and the plates are pretty authentic. Overall great location.

One of the things we missed most during the pandemic was eating at this restaurant. We love sitting out on the patio, and we were excited to do that for the first time in over a year. This time we had chicken fajitas, but tried the fillet mignon salad as well. Loved it. Service was average today, but it’s usually pretty good.We have tried other Avila's locations but this one is the only one we go to.

Excellent dining experience. Food was great. I had the Chicken Flautas and he had the 2 item combo; Chile Relleno, Crispy Chicken Taco. For dessert we shared ice cream with churros. Definitely coming back!
