Difficult hike but gorgeous fall colors

Small parking area along road. No toilet, no table, no fees. No cell service. Quiet trail through forest that passes Fortune Ponds then connects to the PCT in about 8 miles. We logged it out to Fortune Ponds in August 2018. Some areas have annoying brush.

Update: logged out to PCT in July 2019

Update February 2023: first 4 1/2 miles logged out Fall 2022. Currently not accessible due to fire closure order closing the Beckler River road.

Well maintained, steep beginning with a long stroll thereafter. Another climb an then you join the PCT
