My pets are like my babies, and their care and well being is very important to me. So sending my girl to a trainer for five months was a big, and kind of scary decision for me. It’s something I’ve never done before and I’ve heard some horror stories. As I got to know Camri the last couple years I had a good feeling she would be the right fit. Having a good, solid start on Phoebe was very important to me, and Camri completely exceeded my expectations. Camri is the most kind and thorough trainer I have ever worked with. I was able to keep up with Phoebes training through The Equestrian App, where Camri gave a short overview on every training session, which was so cool to see. I made many trips up to see Phoebe, at first just to watch Camri do a training session with her and then to ride Phoebe and take a lesson with Camri. It was so fun to watch Phoebe’s progress and I could tell Camri was teaching Phoebe to become the soft, well minded, quiet horse she was meant to be. It’s also been so fun for me to take lessons from Camri and learn a ton every lesson. I seriously can’t say enough good things about Camri. If you’re looking for a trainer who truly cares about your horses well being, as well as their future, Camri is the trainer to go to.

Camri did a great job with my friesian mare. I am so pleased that Trinity had a kind, connected and well rounded start to her career under saddle. It is so important for a horse to be started with kindness and patience. Because of her great start with Camri my mare has the confidence and trust to move forward in her journey with no bad habits or holes to fix.

I met Camri at a Horse Women’s Retreat she put on and I was so impressed with her as a person and horse trainer!
She is calm, explains things so you can understand them AND you get great results!

My 15 year old daughter has been taking weekly lessons from Camri Johnson at J Family Equine for almost 2 years. Camri has helped Emma make amazing strides in her personal confidence, her riding skills, the confidence in her horse and strengthening their relationship. It’s amazing to see the transformation that has taken place and given my daughter the drive to run barrels, participate in local and youth rodeos, team sort and improve her horsemanship in local 4H shows. Camri speaks Emma’s language and is always so patient and calm in explaining and teaching the concept and encouraging Emma in her lessons and in her other horse events. She allows questions and listens to what Emma wants to learn and applies it. Can’t say enough good things about Camri!

This is a long over due post! We have been working with Camri for quite some time now! We are so thankful for the great work she does! Camri is so wonderful at her job! She is so knowledgeable, hardworking and honest! She is kind and gentle and communicates so well with each horse! We have had her train horses as well as taken lessons from her and have had such great experiences! She helps push through any insecurities and teaches better ways to communicate and bond with your horse! We not only appreciate Camri but we look up to her and consider her as a great friend! I’m thrilled with the progress my mare made in her 90 days with Camri! She came back confident, quiet and so relaxed! The lessons Camri gave were a big help for me to! Camri Johnson with J Family Equine took my 4yr old mare for 30 days soon after I bought her to help find her “holes” and work on desensitization. I took my 9yr old daughter to J Family equine for a lesson and let me just say Camri was absolutely amazing! She taught my daughter and myself some awesome ground work routines and helped boost my daughters confidence in the saddle. I will definitely be going back and taking all my daughters there!

Camri has put a great start on my 3 year old colt and done wonders with me and my used to be anxious mare!

Bought a grade gelding from here. Camri was great answering all my questions and letting me know all about him. When i was ready to try him out she got on and showed me all his quirks so I knew what to expect when I got on. I’m super happy with this horse and with my experience with J family equine!

This is a wonderful place for horses. The trainer Camri, really knows her stuff. Her advice to me on horse training has been a blessing to my horse riding experience.

I was hired by J Family Equine to do some photos of a colt starting clinic that she put on. Her place is very nice and she is good with handlers and horses of all abilities and ages. She has so much patience and knowledge. I will be working with her in the future with my own horses and would highly recommend her for learning, training and all things horses she has a special talent!
