Beautiful Hike , 2 to 3 hours to the top upper Falls and back. Very well-maintained.

Amazing place to visit, but be prepared for a strenuous hike if planning to get the to top of the falls. It’s worth all the sweat though! There’s restrooms at the beginning of the trail and then about 1/2 way up there’s some picnic tables where you can take a break. The trail is well maintained with a lot of lookout points along the way.

If you love hiking, it is worth going to this point. I have to admit this part of the trail is quite strenuous, as you have to go up all the time.
The observation deck offers a beautiful view of the waterfalls, where you can take great photos.
I was here on the weekend and the overlook area was quite crowded. Highly recommend to stop by here for photos and just use it for relaxing.

So worth it! Rain or shine. Moderate hike. Proper footwear recommended. I will return. The falls experience will vary depending on the amount of rain and time of year you go. Although the middle falls were moving faster and a bit more exciting, the upper falls are worth the additional hike.

Probably the best viewpoint in the park! The falls are insanely tall, and you get a full view of them from this neat overlook. They're closer than they look in pictures too! It's a 5 mile hike to here and back. Totally worth it!

This is a popular spot but it's less crowded than at the start of the trail. Keep in mind parking at this park is really tough, and you need the Discovery Pass.

I’ll talk about the entire Wallace Falls Trail here. This is an amazing 10-km (~6 miles; was for me), moderate-difficulty trail, which took me around 4.5 hours to finish. I took some rest-breaks on the way, spent some time at the lower, middle, and upper falls, and played at the river. The trail is very beautiful and amidst countless 100-foot trees that make the entire hike experience an unforgettable one. The parking lot (Discover Pass required) at the trailhead is always full; however, luckily, I was able to find parking right at the trailhead. Many hikers had to park their cars around half a mile away, and this was a trek in itself. :) I went right up to the Upper Falls and saw all three falls. The most beautiful falls is the middle one; the lower one is okay (given that, at that point, you don’t know what to expect of the others), and the upper one is a letdown. The Middle Falls provides a spectacular view of the homogeneous body of water coming down - do the hike for the Middle Falls. Most people return from here, without doing the Upper Falls; and that’s totally fine - you won’t miss much if you skip the Upper Falls. The hike up to the Middle Falls is not easy, though some might claim it is. The hike from the Middle Falls to the Upper Falls is more difficult (but not significantly more difficult) than that up to the Middle Falls, where most people are just too tired to do the Upper Falls. Given the Independence Day, the trail wasn’t too busy but still had a good number of hikers, including senior citizens and families with small kids; many had their dogs with them. The accessible river section towards the trailhead is a great spot for families and pets to play at. Preferably, do this trail/hike on a cooler day (when it’s 18-20 C, i.e., ~66-70 F). All-in-all, a wonderful and well-marked trail/hike very near to the Greater Seattle Area, and a great way to spend your entire day - highly recommended!

Slow Tuesday on the trail at Wallace Falls. We started our day at 8:15 and it was a bit cloudy but not too cold. About a mile in is your first turn off, we chose to go right and do the loop starting with Wallace Falls. The hike to the falls is pretty straight forward. The trail can get a little steep at times and rocky but not too crazy. You start to hit snow shortly before the top of the falls.  To the top of the falls was 3 miles and then we kept hiking to Wallace Lake after. Shortly after the top of the falls you get onto a road which you take for 2.5 miles until Wallace Lake, almost all of the 2.5 miles are flat. Wallace Lake was okay but nothing too spectacular. Overall very nice day for a hike. Round trip 10.6 miles and 2100 feet elevation gain.

Awesome views of the falls from the overlook . There is a bench to relax . The hike up-to this place is moderate.

Hiked 7 miles and my tracker said 3500 elevation gain. Yes it felt like it but slow and easy you can do this hike to. Lower and Middle Falls were by far my favorite.

Nice riverside hike not far very outside of the city. Moss covered trees and waterfalls. You can tailor this hike to your ability by adding destinations (lower, middle, upper falls and lake). Even if you aren't feeling up to tackeling the hike to the falls, a stroll along the river alone is lovely. The added incline from the lower to the middle falls outlook is worth the extra effort.

It was a very nice trekking but at the top it become a little difficult. Valley lookout was the best point to walk. It was sooo beautiful . Top view is not worth the effort.

Loved this hike. Beautiful family friendly hike up to middle falls look out. Slightly harder to the top look out. I want to go back to check out the lake this summer.

This is the perfect hike to get you inspired to do more HIKING!!!!!

The trail is maintained, so you dont have to worry about straying off course. The giant red cedars are beautiful. I spotted all kinds of edible flora along the way, including lots of fungi!!!! The giant boulders, the foot bridges, the switchbacks, the trees, the moss, the falls...it is something to experience if you've never put yourself in that setting!! Get outside! Go take a hike!!!

The trail is alone the river, and the water sound was very relaxing. Many pretty vista points, and some can go into the river. Most parts are in the shade, so don't need a lot of sunscreen. Dogs need to be on leash.

Beautiful fall, you can feel the breeze carry some cool air from the water droplet and it is so refreshing after the hike. I think May is a great month to visit and hike.

Beautiful hike. It's worth the drive. Hiking to the lower and middle falls is somewhat easy to medium, hiking to the top will take everything you have. It's breathtaking.
