This is a neat place that offers far more than hardware. They’ve got a sauce section as well as some premium sodas there. I got some Dad’s root beer and cream soda and another brand of root beer called Red Arrow. They were all good. I also needed some reflective stickers for my mailbox and two gentleman working in the back helped me find them. The wooden watch/clock was neat. It is hanging in the hardware section.

Small town hardware store with heart. I love that the people that work there are old-timers, the feel is home-town, and the popcorn is ready and popped on Saterday.
I am not a fan of the upstairs clothing area, but it apparently brings in money, so I guess it's gonna be a staple of the place. I am just glad it's still here after all these years, and I hope it stays here for years to come.

First time here today, beautiful store!
The only thing that could make it better is a dedicated toy section. But I did end up finding the perfect toy that I was looking for as a gift. And they kindly offered to bag it up nicely for me.

Awesome place, walked through and checked out out all the stuff. Lots of items and thing s to look at. Nic nacks, indoor/outdoor decor, tools and clothing very friendly staff. Would like to spend more time here. The canning area was real cool as well as checking out the very large pots for cooking.

I was shopping for a lefse griddle. They searched high and low and found one for me!! Great customer service!

Located in beautiful downtown Arlington, this is the go to for all your needs. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The only hardware store I’ve found that has their own clothing line. Their clothing section offers many options for every style. With a large selection of hoodies, they can customize the graphics for you! Highly recommend them for all your home maintenance, decor, hunting and fishing and clothing needs!

Just an amazing retail location. A full-fledged hardware store +++. Home decor to clothing to a lumber yard and everything in between! My wife purchased two pairs of jeans for a quarter of what the OUTLET MALL just down the road was charging (different brand but similar take on design) plus a couple of blouses, I bought one of the many different "ARLINGTON HARDWARE" private label caps to promote this excellent store at home in Bellingham. AH&L has something for everyone! After you have finished shopping be sure to hit the CENTENNIAL Bar & Grill (just down on the next block) for some of the best SMOKED BBQ wings, prime rib, etc. you will ever eat!

I came from out if town to find a sweatshirt. It was on their Facebook page. I couldn't find it when I got there. To my surprise, the screenprint was available, and I was able to have it made, for me, on the spot. I absolutely love it. Such wonderful customer service and such friendly staff! A definite place to go for beautiful and unique items. I will be back...soon!

lots of things I want to address here. I hope google removes the reviews that have absolutely nothing factual about this business and are legally considered slander. In response to the recent reviews I want to add:

1. The customer service is great

2. They don’t steal designs, unless someone has a trademark for their brand logo theres nothing illegal about using a similar logo design that was likely from some generic cookie cutter logo generator online. And if you have a trademark for a logo that has been used at AH you need to go to their distributor and stop slandering a small business.

3. I have a wholesale account with Faire, a huge wholesale company that sells some of the brands that AH sells. I’ve seen it firsthand. AH does not design their own tees with celebrity content on them. They purchased a pre pack of the items online as do many other boutique stores.

4. It is completely unfair to label these people as bigots and assume they were trying to protest pride. Regardless, if they respectfully dismissed themselves from that particular day due to pride festival they did so in a manner that was not disrespectful or blatantly hurtful to the community. People are allowed to choose not to endorse something especially when it has posed a threat of violence in a small town. I would have closed the store as well.

5. I love the store, I love the vibe, the prices can be a little steep but it’s a BOUTIQUE. If you want Walmart go down the street.

Great place to get so many things. Awsome store. Feels like the have something for everyone.

More than just a hardware store. The clothes are high quality at an affordable price, the household items/decorations are fantastic. Never disappointed when I come here.

Cutest hardware shop around, never thought you’d hear that right? Not only can you get everything you need to fix anything around the house, your lady can get herself a cute sweatshirt and candle. Love it. Unique!

Updating my review to talk about the local hate they've been getting in reviews. The hardware store didn't close in protest to pride. They said they closed for employee appreciation day. Given that the people who were hosting pride were worried about violence and the hardware store is right next to the event, it's easy to think they may have stayed closed in case things went sideways to keep their employees safe, which I'm sure employees appreciated.

I walked in there two days ago decked out in a pride shirt and rainbow accessories and ya know what happened??? The employees were just as WONDERFUL to me as they are when I walk in there with my America shirts.

People are making assumptions based on social media speculation and that's dangerous no matter what side you are on.

Not near the hardware store anymore, but still rocking the hat in Cave Creek AZ. I’ve had other WA folks recognize it.

I could spend hours just visiting the store and talking with the lovely staff. They have a great supply of odds and ends from coolers and bbqs to paint and door hardware and lumber too! I also found this antique window with a mirror in it that will go perfectly in my entryway.

This place is awesome! I especially like the fishing & hunting section, and my wife loves the variety of clothing, camping, and gardening, and she seems to disappear upstairs for long periods of time!
