Brookside Park

Brookside Park is a great family park to walk around on its cement path that rounds the perimeter of the entire park. There are numerous benches and trash cans for your convenience, as well as restrooms 🚻. There are also a few barbecue pits in the front area of the park on the west and east sides. There is a big playground that has canopy coverage and a huge grass area perfect for picnics and dogs. One last thing to note is that their is a soccer field with lights and a seating area.

There are a lot of nice spots to sit in the field with a good amount of trees for shade. They have the concrete benches. Always has been a nice park to be at. There is a public restroom here, too. And a grocery store is nearby, so it's a nice picnic spot :)

After visiting half a dozen parks in the area, over several days, Brookside Park was by far the most enjoyable. My two-year old had a blast, and he was excited to immediately make friends and have someone to play with. I felt safe to be there, and I could tell several families were comfortable to be there too. This will definitely be our stop when visiting!

It is quiet here in the early morning. The ground is well kept. A walk around the loop is about 0.4 mile. Lots of activities in the evening. Dog friendly.

. Also they have great volleyball courts on the grass.

Such a great park. So much is going on with so many community events. It’s a toss up between this and Ford Park. It’s pretty busy in the afternoon and weekends.

Clean,great park..if only you guys had lights on the play ground..everything has lights way past sundown except the playground.. what's that about ??? Thats the most visited area too..love this place,we made so many wonderful friends & memories

I give this a 1 out of 3.5 for flying kites. the location actually has some decent lift but there is a gate blocking the best flight path so not recommended for newbies. make sure you use 60lb line 100 ft. love the people here though, actually more laid back not so stuck up

Nice, clean and quiet park! 2 of my boys rode their hoover boards around the park and my youngest had a blast in and around the playground.

Great park, lots of grassy area and a shaded playground area with a smaller kid play structure that my toddler enjoys and a bigger kid one as well. There is a toddler sized ‘house’ area and steering wheel toy that is only really reachable by kids who are about 3 feet tall and up. A spinning structure that many kids can ride on if someone spins it, and a small single kid spinning toy. It only has a few benches so you may not be able to get one if it is crowded. It has wood chips on the ground and is generally clean and safe feeling.

So pretty & peaceful. My kiddo loves it here! I like to bring a blanket and snacks and hangout in the grass. 👌

Great little park. Family and pet friendly. Playground, picnic tables, small BBQs, & public restrooms. Recently they are making huge improvements/strides towards organized, outdoor sports.

Great playground for all ages. I especially love how in the little kids section I can help my one year old up the steps and not have to run around something to help her down the slide. There are bathrooms, picnic tables, and nice walking areas.

Great park for most ages. The playground area is large, mostly shaded, and has many different aspects. There are always children around for others to play with. There is a large field area which gives plenty of room for any and all team sports. There are public restrooms and several areas to sit. The path around the park is great for walking or if the kids want to ride bikes or scooters.

Lots of trees for shade, kids park is covered which is great for summer time. Bathrooms close by as well.

Love this park, has a playground and swing set. There is bathrooms too but I never use them. Has a giant grass area to run around and play soccer or whatever. There's quite a hill from the bathroom to the grass area and the kids love rolling down that hill.

A great little park to come hang out with your friends and family. Great place to fly a kite.

Small but open spaces. I see a lot of city park guys throughout the week to keep it nicely maintained at all times. You see regulars walking their dogs in the mornings and evenings from the neighborhood and surrounding apartment complex. Nice walkway all around the perimeter. Bathrooms. Picnic tables and grills. Children's playground is small but in a nicely monitored area. Benches and grassy steps around to watch local soccer leagues of all ages play. Peaceful in the morning. Be careful, I saw 2 coyotes early in the morning a couple of weeks ago...
