Fountain Drive-In

This place is old school awesome..!!
The toasted crunch of their hamburger buns makes a huge and positive difference over every other hamburger restaurant within 30 miles....!
I find myself craving their simple, yet excellent hamburgers several times a week.
Unfortunately, their fries are no big deal, but they are certainly edible. (Steak fries or tater tots would be much better, in my opinion).
Also, their tartar sauce seems to just be mayonnaise with a little relish in it.... not my fave at all.
Their shakes are great...!
Service is excellent and very friendly...!
(And now, after writing this, I want one of their double patty deluxe jumbo burgers.....).

When driving back to town from Darrington, I decided to stop into the Fountain for lunch and glad I did. It was a very nice treat and one that I had totally forgot about since my youth. The Fountain's staff was friendly and pleasant while the restaurant was clean and had all the hallmarks of a great, local burger joint.

Amazing stop on road-trips in the area. Basics, tasty, quick; exactly what you need on the go.

My family has stopped here for food for at least two decades. Props to the fountain for staying power 💪

Cute little spot in Arlington. Good food quite an interesting menu I will say everything from hot dogs to corn dogs to burritos to BLTs and breakfast. Really good though absolutely would recommend going here if you do do the drive-thru right now it is down you do have to call while you are in the Drive-Thru and place your order via phone but otherwise the doors are open you can go inside. Very very nice staff especially for being younger teenagers. Highly recommend it if you're in the Arlington area or if you're just in the Island Crossing exit I would recommend going out here for a quick bite prices are fairly reasonable too and it's been there forever and a day so let's keep these local little spots open and going

I got the poor boy special and oh my I can't tell you how good that burger was. I think the best part is their shakes they are so good I definitely recommend a try.

The staff are always kind and courteous. The food is good. They have the best fries around. 🍟 😋 4 stars for the atmosphere. It's a bit out of date and the heat seems to go out a lot.

I love this old timey restaurant. I will say though that some things need to be updated like their drive-thru. We went through and you actually had to call the restaurant and thankfully we live in an age where there's a phone but I wonder how many people they have lost due to this inconvenience. I still will go here anytime that I am in Arlington though. A hidden gem.

My mom came here as a kid and brought me here as a kid; I will bring my children here without a doubt. Best Pineapple shakes I have ever had. It's worth calling ahead to go in and pick up. The authentic made to order style of this place can make drive thru take minute. Worth the wait though

Looks like an old Wendy's they moved into, love the glass seating area so I can stare at everyone passing by silently.

Food is quality, service good, Weiner Wednesday went well. Wonderfully Wumbo whiskey wanted works wuzowski while asking why I am wwwwwww everything

Best onion rings I've had in years. Literally, 25 years.. The fries must be done in bacon grease, they are delicious. Hamburgers taste of real beef - Definitely a nod to restaurants of the 1970s where quality was worth the wait and the beef was real. As is this place... The shakes were also perfect. If you have a big appetite get the larger portion sizes. The poor boy special was enough for my 24 year old son.

Went in for breakfast with my daughter. We were the first ones there as they were opening. Great service and friendly! Inside the place reminds me of a old time burger restaurant. The prices are good and the food is great!!! Thank you :)

I dont eat here alot, but I ALWAYS order what is possibly the Worlds Greatest Milkshakes! Staff is always friendly and smiling.

Best Cheeseburger around. I live in Stanwood but often crave the fountain burgers and onionrings. There BLT sandwiches are also amazing. I don't mind the old speaker and menu board. It adds character.

The burgers were great even though the hamburger patty was a bit small, the French fries were very yummy, the perfect crispy outside and soft potato flavored insides! Chocolate shake was excellent, extra bonus that the interior dining area was very clean! Honestly a gem of a burger spot!

What a hidden gem! So happy we found this spot on our way home from North Cascades. This will be a normal stop when we travel this way again. Great, old fashioned burgers and shakes with very friendly staff. The whole family was happy!

It's really nice to have an old school place like this preserved in this day and age. As their names implies, their shakes are delicious. I also recommend their burgers and fries. Disclaimer: don't think of this as "fast" food. They make everything fresh, so don't expect instant drive-thru service compared to places that give you French Fries made half an hour ago. Be prepared to wait ~5 minutes.

We hadn't been here in years! We went through the drive thru. We ordered a cheeseburger & fry's with milkshakes. The burger was delicious with a special sauce that I liked. Frys were perfect!! Our shakes were extra big and good!! The only complaint We had is that the menu didn't list prices and the shake flavors were pretty basic!!
More flavors to choose from would be nice. We will probably go back in the future!!

This place is a great mom and pop style restaurant, its been around since since 1961. Burgers are awesome onion rings are good too. Everything is made to order so the drive through isn't fast but supper convenient. The shakes are supper tasty and think they are made with ice cream but I'm not sure. It reminds me of a joint I worked at when I was teenager.

Busy, but worth the wait.
