Al's Comics is one of those hidden jewels of Stockton. He has a wide variety of comics, books, posters, figurines, dice, records, and all kinds of other cool stuff that people from all walks of life will enjoy.

I'm not a regular shopper at this comic shop, but the one time I visited, it was pretty cool. Great selection of modern books, and lots of place to peruse back issues. I purchased 2 silver aged Fantastic Four books on the wall to add to the collection I'm trying to complete.

I was surprised that comic book accessories go for pretty cheap. I purchased a BCW folio box that fits around 15 comics and several shortbox divider singles for below price compared to other shops. Owner is a nice man and I will stop by whenever I'm in town.

I love this place and Al. My dad bought comics at his old place. I bought comics there since I was a teenager. Now my daughter buys comics there too. Also have bought dice, models, War Hammer figures, game cards, and paints over the years. Great place to geek out.

This is a great comic book store to visit, especially if you are new to comics. Al has a great selection of comics and back issues new and old, as well as posters, action figures, and the like. He is very fair with prices, and you can tell he’s just here to make a kid smile. Al has served as a mentor and an inspiration to all the comic book shops in the area, and is always a great stop when shopping on the miracle mile. Will always come back

Everyone loves Al's comics. It's a beautiful place my favorite to be honest. Al is a awesome dude. Very helpful & kind. Please visit this comic shop when in Stockton. I drive out there from Modesto afew times a month. Definitely worth the trip.

In a section of town where most things are boarded up or taken over by big box formula retail, the spirit of adventure lives on in Stockton, one issue at a time. The perfect little shop focusing on trades.

Its a great shop with great prices. They may not having everything you could think of but they have the basics and more. From brand new comics to the old ones that fill up the 50cent box in the back. Also has a small amount of figures. Friendly owner, the titular "Al" and he's been there for decades. Definitely worth checking out👍

Truly one of the best comic shops in the country. Started going there in the mid 1980s. Al and Mike are warm and welcoming to everyone. They made a place where a kid can step away from the harsh world and just be that, a kid. Thank you for the years of enjoyment.

I have been coming to Al's comic shop since I was a kid. Infact we where his first customers 30 years ago. Now my boys come to this great comic store. Still looks the same. The place should be a historical landmark.

I've been buying comics for over 40 years, I come from the Bay Area where there are comic book shops almost on every other street corner. When I moved to the Central Valley they were few and far between. I was so glad to find Al's Comics in Stockton, its a great original comic shop that really focuses on comics and not so much on the toys and other stuff that has become so common in most shops today. The best part is that the staff is friendly, knowledgably and that they also have older books pre 80's and 70's! Let's not forget the bargain boxes in the back, sometimes I'm on a budget but still need my comic fix, it's a great way to keep up on some of the newer stuff as well as find the occasional hidden gem! Al's Comics please never go away! If you can't tell by thus review "I love Al's Comics!" This is what a comic book shop should be like, don't change a thing except get bigger so you can put more of that older back stock out!!

I started going to Al's in 1979 with my friends when we were 8 years old. Now I bring my boys there to collect comics and "Americana." Packed full of cool stuff. Al is awesome as well.
