The Palomar Inn

We were checked in very quickly the room was small but very cozy and comfortable. Very clean if road noise bothers you then I wouldn’t stay here. Close to the road so lots of traffic. My only suggestion for them would be curtains. The room even with the lights off the room was very well light. So we hung beach towels over the windows so we could sleep.

This is absolutely the cutest budget motel that I have stayed at on the California coast! The room was clean, and nicely decorated with microwave, fridge and coffee maker. The bathroom has a nice updated shower with good hot water and great water pressure. I have already booked another reservation. You can also get coastal access straight down the street. This place is a little gem.

This is a family owned and operated business, and they are doing a most excellent job! Difficult times hard to deal wich exist everywhere in business today. They are meeting many of the challenges that business owners are facing today head on. And with the best hospitality I have seen in a long time. They are doing many wonderful upgrades and we are very much looking forward to coming back. The price was excellent for a motel only one block from the ocean. Anyone who comes to the area is not prone to staying inside a hotel room, but making day trips all over the the Central Coast. They just need a great, clean place to lay their head down at night, and this is it!

We got a suite because we did not make a reservation and that is the only one they had left. They offered military discount which is great. Most reasonably priced hotel in the area!

The suite has a king and a queen bed. We loved it. Very clean, beds are very comfortable, and room is pretty updated. The only bad thing I could say is the floor had a lite dust on it, most likly from the mop they used.

Would definitely stay here again.

We absolutely loved this place. We had a spontaneous baecation and chose this hotel based on its price during the week. Staff was friendly, and it comfortable and cozy. Nothing fancy, but clean and perfect location. Be sure to walk down to Zoros to eat.

One of the best inns I have ever slept at. The innkeeper was very nice and upgraded me at no charge to a room with a king bed. The place was very clean. Smoke free. Well maintained and comfortable. Will definitely stay here again.

Enjoyable place in the heart of Shell Beach. Great Cafe's and restaurants close by. Very comfortable bed, great house keeping. Nice big up to date TV. Quiet at night. Great for tourists on the go.

Wonderful place to stay for any sort of trip, business, vacation, etc. No complaints about the rooms, and, as a plus, the staff is very kind and helpful!

This place is a walking distance to the beach and resto nearby. The rooms runs small but is good enough for a night or two stay. And a dog friendly hotel is a plus.

Super cute, small room but great for my break from driving with the love of my life :) tv and free wifi, clean, and the front desk lady was so sweet!

I like staying here. Location is awesome. Off the beaten path, a block from Shell Beach, across the street from Shell Beach Brew House. The remodeling they have done has been great.

We stayed 2 nights, check-in was a breeze the gentleman at the desk was awesome room was small but clean who made up the bed the next day for us we came back in the room and it was beautiful we're going to definitely stay again check out was just as easy a few minutes from the beach

Very nice inn walking distance to restaurants and coffee shops. Room was very clean, lady at the reception very nice. Doing laundry was very easy, as the pub was just across.

Was nice and cozy, perfect area, lots of places nearby, and if you want to enjoy a nice view of the ocean, there's a park in walking distance. Will love to go back again.

Super close to the beach ! Clean and nice staff. You need to wait a bit longer for the hot water .. otherwise all good...
