Canyon Country Discovery Center

The weekend event for the 2023 Eclipse was very well organized, and a delight to attend. Our needs were anticipated, and the staff worked hard to give us a great experience during the eclipse. The center itself is beautiful inside and out, and well designed for events such as this.

We stayed here through Harvest Hosts and loved it. They were so nice and accommodating. The interactive section is great for kids and adults as it covers the full STEM process. They also had water fill and nice bathrooms, which was nice. The stay was quiet and beautiful.

My kids loved playing with everything there. We spent at least an hour there. Then we we explored outside. We love having a pass.

Spent a summer working here a while back...great place! They have a unique discovery area and really nifty telescopes. Just taking a walk around the campus is a great morning/evening activity as well. 10/10

This place was so cool. It was a wonderful place to stop along the road stretch our legs and let the kids have a break from the car. Our 3 year old was easily entertained for an hour and a half and we didn't even get to everything. Older kids would also love it. It's a very reasonable price. If you are staying in Monticello or just passing through like we were, I would definitely suggest stopping by!

Awesome! No complaints. Good price, great interactive learning centers. My extended family went. Adults and children (ages 1 to 12) were entertained for over 2 hours.

Great place for the whole family. There re lots of activities both indoor and outdoor. The change the hands on exhibits. We built windmills and went to the planetarium. There is also a small climbing wall.

Canyon Country Discovery Center has an amazing astronomical observatory that is open weds and saturday night. Visited with my family, the kids loved it, and I was surprised to see distant galaxies. Very cool. The nature, science and culture exhibits in the rotunda are worth stopping by to see when passing through Monticello.

Beautiful facility and even has a spacious meeting room!

We love the bouldering wall and the stars and Smores events where we can look through their great telescopes. The stars and planets are amazingly clear out here!

This is an excellent resource for educating children on the idea of conservation and stewardship. Amazing facilities and people.

Wish we lived closer we would go often. Definitely a highlight of our trip.

The people giving information are super helpful, and I was able to get some nice maps and information about the whole region.
