Trading Post Restaurant

On Wednesday we had courses for dinner:
Mussels and clams, shrimp salad, whole fish with rice,and last a small assortment of delicious dessert, chicken, potatoes, What a treat. Best food in Cloverdale.

Three years ago I last reviewed this wonderful restaurant that serves locally sourced delicious food.. Since the beginning of the Pandemic they continue to provide outstanding delicious menus based on locally sourced items.. We are so lucky to have them in our small community. Take out menu is outstanding. Thank you so much for continuing to serve our community and source your menus locally.... World Class Michelin Star potential restaurant. Our 3rd visit in two months! Make sure you make reservations in advance. Friday night we enjoyed the Lamb Skewers, Dungeness Crab Tartine, pictured is the Lamb Pasta with homemade tagliatelle. A true Gourmet Dining Experience!

A great ambiance paired with outstanding food, locally sourced wine list and good service. A really enjoyable evening.

Highly recommended. We were so lucky as to have a small wedding reception here. The food and people here were so fantastic. I am still getting people that came to the wedding rave about the food and service. When my husband asked them for a Shirley temple because I don’t drink they told is they didn’t have the mix for that they told me they could see what they could do. I insisted that water was fine! However when we sat down to eat I asked for a drink of water again and they said someone had run next door to get the ingredients to make a Shirley temple. This place went above and beyond the call of duty. 10/10 would recommend.

We had the frittata, Benedict eggs and side of sausage, all of them anísale absolutely delicious. The staff were super helpful and efficient, and gifted us scones and extraordinarily tasty passion fruit curd.

Secret gem of Wine Country! We stumbled across this place on a trip up to Sonoma and absolutely loved the food and staff. Very relaxed and casual atmosphere with a great bakery, wine list and dinner. Highly recommend the Fried Chicken, full of flavor and juicy. The crispy Pork Belly and Deviled Eggs are also fantastic. Worth the trip!

Trading Post is our place to go when we feel the need to indulge. The food is excellent. The wait staff is professional and friendly. The ambiance California casual with a special vibe. Nice music selection which isn't overwhelmingly loud, but energetic and modern. Its a treat to go whenever we can. John and Linda Overn ❤

This place is absolutely amazing. I went there as part of a wedding party for a rehearsal dinner. I have food allergies and they were extremely accommodating. Matthew was our server and he went above and beyond to make sure we were all able to enjoy our experience there. The food was outstanding. Definitely recommend this restaurant.

My wife and I stopped in town to find something to eat before we arrived in the city. To our great surprise we found the Trading Post, (wish they had a bigger sign for these old eyes) and had an exquisite brunch. The meals served were excellent, quality ingredients, preparation and presentation were worth the visit. We will certainly visit Trading Post again on our next drive through the area.

The food and service were amazing! The price was right also. Two dinners and dessert for us out for less than $100 with a 20+% tip. The menu rotates around a few staples, so check the website or five them a call to see what's on the menu.

Inventive and unique combinations of flavors and textures... We've been continually surprised and impressed by the food choices including vegetarian and vegan options... Highly recommend trying the homemade sourdough bread with dinner...

We have been to trading Post about 5 times and man do we love it. On par with the Healdsburg restaurants as far as food quality and ingredient quality haven't had a bad meal there yet great staff. Most recently had brunch there and it was great my favorite restaurant in Cloverdale for sure.

Absolutely incredible. Fresh local ingredients prepared with skill and love. Everything I tasted was delicious. The plate was visually stunning as well. My only regret after eating here was that I was so full that I couldn’t try another entree! Bravo Trading Post, Bravo.

My friend and I were looking for an upscale place to have a salad on a weekend - and ended up at the TP after the "other" snazzy place shut down early at 8pm (!!) So glad that happened. Because our simple, yet perfectly executed local green salad by TP - with grilled chicken added on by request - was one of the tastiest we've experienced in Cloverdale. The sparkling wine accompaniment was pretty fantastic too. Plus some pretty sweet repartee with one of the co-owners. You bet I'm coming back.

Erik does an amazing job! Everything we had was delicious, including the duck fat potato tots, beet salad, flat iron steak and the panna cotta. The flat iron steak was tender and flavorful, paired perfectly with the vegetables, and I could have eaten an entire bowl of the mashed potatoes. I look forward to returning!

We are vegan and Eric the chef does an absolutely amazing job creating delicious, beautifully-presented, and nutritious meals. His vegan meals are the best we've had anywhere in Sonoma County, and are well worth traveling to Cloverdale for!
The Post simply needs at least a day's notice if you are vegan and you will get a creative and scrumptious meal. Even non-vegans will savor the sophisticated flavors, spices, and sauces they use. The Trading Post is not to be missed if you are ever in Sonoma County.

Favorite restaurant in Sonoma county at this pricepoint. Definitely worth the drive for wither brunch or dinner. Can't go wrong with anything on the me menu, just order what you're in the mood for!

Farm to Table, excellent food and service. Pork Chop was huge and delicious. relaxed atmosphere. It can be busy as it is a justifiably popular spot.
