Lightly Used Books

This was an awesome bookstore, I drove half an hour just to check this place out and I'm glad I did. They have a super fun DnD style map of their store, coupons for local businesses, cheap books, and a smile on their face. Will definitely be coming back for those mystery date with a book.

Staff is kind, helpful and respectful. A wonderful little book store to browse and see what you find. My experience there, I just love the alphabetical order of the books on the wooden shelves waiting to picked and read. Plus, the smell of books is delightful to me. Will be going back soon! ❤📚📚❤

This is 100% one of the best book stores I have ever been to. The owner and staff were incredibly friendly and attentive to me and my plethora of questions. The younger looking cashier was able to recommend me several books based on some of my previous favorites. Also as a person who struggles with organizing things I was amazed at how well organized the store was. The history section alone is broken into multiple sections so that you can easily find what you’re looking for! I highly recommend picking up one of their blind date with a book if you aren’t sure what you are wanting specifically but have a genre you are interested in. It is so nice to see family run businesses like this thriving and doing well in a small town like Turlock. I will absolutely be returning on my next time in town.

Reminds me of my favorite used book store up in Eureka. This place has a wonderful selection of all kinds of books. Everything I saw was very well organized, in good condition, and very well laid out. Staff was welcoming and helpful. I'm so glad that Turlock has such a great resource. Every time I'm back in town I plan on making it one of my pit stops.

This place is awesome for any kind of reader! They are sure to have a book you'll love and the prices are great. Looking for a signed first edition? They have those! The owners are super helpful and they don't mind if you spend an hour or two or three browsing. Go check out this bookstore! Before I forget, they have live music!

This bookstore is so great and the prices are more than doable especially during the time when everything is so expensive. I hope to see this store thrive and succeed for years to come. Definitely a go-to stop if you enjoy books or even just want a whimsical, calm escape for the chaos of life.

Lightly Used Books is simply put AMAZING. The new owners showed me to the exact spot of the author I was looking for (Patricia Cornwell) and they had such a variety!! Every genre you can think of from Sci-Fi to horror to children's and even a Christian section. The shelves are tall maze like and filled with hard backs, 1st Editions and paperback as well! Stop by check them oit you won't be disappointed!!

I love this bookstore. The owner is the sweetest! I love her children who have helped as well, all very welcoming. The bookstore feels like home. A wide range of genres and very affordable prices.

I love the amount of books here, the lady that was working was so nice and helpful, and the inside looked so good.

I've been to this store twice and both times I've found great finds for great deals. Staff is super friendly and attentive. The store has a good selection of fiction, and a pretty decent selection of history, biographies and ethnic studies. However, there is not too much of philosophy, art or science. Regardless, I will continue to check this place out periodically to see what new stuff comes in as it is a very pleasant place shop and I love the relaxing music they play as well.

We had the luck of being able to find this place today. Even though we didn't find what we were exactly looking for the staff member was very helpful at showing us where it would be located and even offered suggestions to other book titles. Sadly I didn't get to spend more time there today but I'm already planning on making a trip there this Saturday to spend more time exploring all the shelves. I even got permission to add to my book collection of to be read for this trip.

Great local spot.
Books are in great condition for their age and cheap price. You’ll get that old paper smell from them.
I hope they stay in business for years to come.

Clean and well-organized dook shop, excellent selection on a wide variety of subjects and genres. Friendly, helpful staff. One of the few excellent used book stores left in the Central Valley and locally owned. What more do you need to know? Worthy of your support.

I absolutely love this bookstore, it’s always an amazing time! The owner and her staff are extremely accommodating. If you want an awesome experience I completely recommend coming here! There is always something for everyone!

Hoping they start a trade in program and more selection is added and rotated through as they did not carry any books I was looking for, although I left with several anyway ;) it reminds me a bit of my beloved Bookmans in AZ

Beautiful bookstore. I love the atmosphere. It's tranquil, very relaxing. Never the same on each visit, always different content. The owners are friendly and helpful. I always find books I like there. Over the years, I've purchased some good books from there.
