Chaguito’s

I've been eating here since they were in the old white building that was right on the street. I only eat here when visiting family in town as I have moved, but they never disappoint. Their tacos and tortas are my go too and the bakery has definitely improved from what I remember. Staff is always friendly and the food is always delicious. For me, the food is very nostalgic as it seems to taste the same as it did 35 years ago. Chaguitos never disappoints. 03/07/24

Everything was perfect as usual. The cooks always have an excellent attitude and are accurate with my order. The atmosphere was perfect, pleasant , and quality service from the cashier. I always feel compelled to tip, and of course, it's not out of obligation but because of the attention to detail and excellent customer service.

Delicious food is here!!!! Went there for the dessert and they have a lot of it fresh from the oven! I had the best conchas here. I ordered some food too. I got Quesadilla , Tacos and Tostada and they are tasty!

I was in love with the location it was like I was in a Mexican Bakery. They have a restaurant inside the bakery all the pan dulce was delicious. We did not have to wait. The employee was friendly. The parking lot was clean. Great place to go and buy Mexican bread.

The food is always delicious and the staff is friendly too. Good fish tacos and horchata. Awesome pan dulcé selection as well.

Today, I stopped in and purchased 2 items from the bakery. The staff that assisted me was nice. Then, I walked down to the back and I ordered the chili verde burrito. I showed the nice staff the picture of the item that I saw online and she said it was the chili Verde burrito with pork. I asked what was inside of the burrito and she said Rice and pork. I made my order. I turned around and I asked how I can get the variety of toppings such as: salsa, cilantro, etc. She gave me a few of the small containers with top lids. My order was quickly finished. I was told to carry it straight. If it's tilted, the liquid will leak out of the container. I thanked everyone and left. Came home and was happy with the chili Verde burrito. It was huge and was smothered with hot chili verde on top. I enjoyed it and I am happy with my purchase. I give Chaguito's an A+. Great job everyone!

I love coming to this little bakery every time I come into town to visit. They have a great variety of fresh baked goods. I don't know what it's called, but I recommend the jalapeno roll with the sesame seeds on top!

Place was clean. Food was reasonably priced. Quality of food was great! Only had a torta but it was delicious! It was a little early for lunch (11 am) but people were still going in and ordering a torta (why I decided to order an asada one) and I was pleasantly surprised! Will have to come back with some friends so they can try. Also FYI this place sells fresh mexican bread which smelled AMAZING. A true little hidden gem in Porterville of all places. Thank you!

This place smells like heaven every time you walk in! Delicious pan dulces. The bolillos are so soft. Bigo’ burritos packed with meat, and so much flavor. Fresh salsas. And the horchata’s good! Friendly staff is a bonus.

My favorite place to eat when I go back to my home town. I never knew they sell breakfast which was delicious as everything else. They have the best fresh bread. I always get the Torta or the queso taco . Do miss out on the best food in Porterville. I have been eating there since their old restaurant building and still is delicious.

This afternoon basically all the sweets and bakery were almost empty. However, they make great Mexican desserts and pastries!

The food is wonderful, the prices are good.

On the downside the women's bathroom always smells horrible, just like sewer lines. Summer time their air conditioning is not working properly. There are no shades on the Windows. Makes it super hot facing the Sun.

So we have to go early or hurry up and eat when it's hot outside because it's also hot inside.

The food is really good. So much better than most of the other Mexican restaurants in Porterville. Good prices and the kids who works there were very nice and friendly.

I love the food here. They serve a good amount and it's very flavorful. Then when you're done you can buy some sweet bread.

This restaurant never let's myself or coworkers down. Food is hot, delicious & always just what you need. Bakery has fresh goods. Staff are there to please & be helpful explaining ingredients or menu choices👏❤

I’ve been going here ever since I was a child. I’ve tried beans and rice from all over the world, but no beans and rice ever compare to Chaguito’s. The rice tastes so authentic and the only thing I would suggest is that they add cheese to their beans. Their tacos are also pretty good, however they are a bit too greasy for my liking.

I can remember both gentlemen being the cooks here for as long as its been open and i am glad to see the great food, consistent and very friendly employees!The best place for tacos and tortas!
