This place is truly amazing. The food was off the charts, one of the best Chinese restaurants I’ve been to in my life. Krystal my server was so helpful and gave a great recommendation on the hot braised chicken that DID NOT disappoint. She made the experience even better! Will be coming back here very soon!!! 🤩

Very tasty. We had hot and sour soup, Mongolian beef, sweet and sour pork, and chow mein.

We have lived in Oakdale for over 10 years and finally have tried the China House. I was disappointed we didn't try it sooner. Service is great. Food was awesome. Highly recommended.

Very authentic and good food, super friendly personnel!

This place is crazy good. If you are passing Oakdale and you want good food, definitely visit here. We got the dinner combination for like 14 bucks and it was a lot of food and really good. With family we tried the almond chicken, sweet and sour pork and broccoli beef and all of them were really good but my favorite was the beef.

Very good food way better than bamboo garden come here instead

Poor location on a busy intersection, I'm guessing is the reason I seem to always be almost the only one in this place when I come. That being said, good food at a great value with leftovers to cary out.

I just love eating here! My family and I always have a great time and love the food selection.

Best Chinese food in Oakdale for sure!

Only one other table full when we went there at 8pm. My friends ordered the combination dinners & I ordered vegetarian soup & string beans. The food was delicious and the servings enormous. Plenty for a second meal at home with the leftovers. The waitress seemed to be new but she was very good and answered all of our questions when we were ordering. She also shared tidbits of information about Oakdale. (My friends were from San Francisco and I recently moved to Modesto.)

A friend recommended this place. I was headed home after a long weekend at work. Obviously I was not going to try and whip up dinner after an hour and forty minute drive home. Walked in placed an order. The host had me seated with a beverage while I waited super quick. I don't even care if the food isn't top of the line. As long as they save me from having to cook and you welcomed me in like I was family you've won my best review.

The food was fantastic, the waitress was very nice and very efficient. Interior was dated but the food and service made up for that. Reasonable prices too

Always a great place for real Chinese food!

Visited during the shutdown and after a week-long backpacking trip. It was easy to order online. It was also very nice that the server came out to the parking lot to take our order. The server listed their safety protocols and they seemed to be very safe.

They offered very good vegan options, we were thrilled to be able to chow down on such good food. We both highly recommend this restaurant.

I have eaten here many times in the past and their food is Great! I like their War Wanton, Egg Flour and Hot & Sour soups. The hot braised chicken is also very good.
Unfortunately I just tried their Pot Stickers and I’m not impressed. They were made from a thick wrap that was much like a flour tortilla and not the typical wrap like I’ve gotten at other Chinese food restaurants. I wouldn’t order them again but everything else is good!

After a couple of disappointing Chinese food experiences in Oakdale, happy to have discovered this place. The food was good to excellent, friendly service and fair pricing. We will be back many times.

Great food, hot and sour soup has a perfect blend of flavors. The family deals for $12.50 each person is the perfect way to try and share different plates, friendly staff and good food what more can you ask for.
