Best clinic so far in town as far as price, care, treatments and most importantly honesty. doctor Katie took great care of our pet, she physically examined him, found the issue and told us the pros and cons of him getting the treatment. prices are great, no wait time. staff is very friendly. Monte Vista animal hospitals sister company. we will definitely return here in future if needed. highly recommend!

They are always easy to get an appointment with. And always friendly, let me go in with my baby. We had an emergency a few months ago. My baby was really sick and they were just as concerned as I was and took great care of her.

I have gone to Community Vet since I first moved to turlock almost 3 years ago. Dr. Barrett is kind, caring, and compassionate, and you can tell he genuinely cares about our pets. The office was very compassionate and respectful when I sadly had to put one of our dear pets down. I highly recommend Community Vet Clinic.

This is the best veterinarian we have ever been to. Dr. Barret is the best, he doesn’t charge extra if care has to go on longer than originally planned and is very knowledgeable when it comes to explaining the procedure with you. We will keep coming back 😁

Experience was great. First time in and Dr. Katie was awesome. Spent several minutes just petting and comforting our cat to keep her calm. Prescription was a bit steep. $100 for antibiotics and topical. Would ask for generic prescription and get it filled elsewhere next time.

I fully recommend this vet clinic. Dr. Barrett (who has owned the clinic for over 20 years) was awesome. Never got the impression he was trying to pump up the revenue, unlike our experience with a churn-and-burn 24-hour clinic we visited recently.

This was a breath of fresh air. When he sat down on the floor next to our puppy to check her out, my wife and I were touched.

Right away Community Vet Clinic made me and my dog feel welcome and we’re not clients. After poor experiences over the past year and a half at Monte Vista a change was needed. I brought my dog here because I no longer trust Monte Vista to look after my pets. They were very accommodating and the Dr. That looked at my dog was very kind to take care of him.

I am forever grateful for the care they have provided my dog, and I will never be able to repay their kindness they’ve shown me and beloved boy. Words cannot express my gratitude to the entire staff, but a special thanks to Kortney and Dr. Barrett for everything they do. Their love for animals is very apparent and I can’t praise them enough!

Dr. Kaie was amazing! Wow so sweet. So attentive to our sweet kitten. Spent several minutes just bonding, petting, and making sure she was comfortable and calm.

Now this is a place where the staff genuinely cares about the animals that they see. I have had a lot of bad experiences with veterinarians that only care about the money, or selling products (some products that can, and have been harmful or fatal for my animals). I had almost lost all hope in finding a good exotic vet in the area, till we met Dr. Barrett. Dr. Barrett treated my sick bearded dragon with care as he quickly and efficiently demonstrated his vast experience with treating respiratory infections in reptiles. He knew exactly what he was doing, and he did everything I expected he would do for my dragon. My beautiful dragon has fully recovered from the respiratory infection that she had, and has been thriving ever since! BEST EXOTIC VET AROUND!!!

Took my parents kat- Keith in to be looked at due to her having breathing issues, open mouth breathing, difficulty in walking, not eating - overall, she was not her self. And she was just fine the day before . The office is in a busy location and parking was hard to come by. The public lot across the street was full, no available parking in front of the office so I had to park down the street, around the corner.

The ladies in the office were most welcoming, they checked Keith in and escorted us to a room immediately. There, she weighed Keith and got some back history on her. Dr. Barrett came in and asked more questions, examined her and then advised us of what he found. He thought she had a respiratory infection or was just starting one as her lungs were clear but she was obviously having issues breathing. Said that he would like to do some blood work and take chest x-rays to determine the course of treatment. He sent the assistant in with an estimate of what it would cost.

We decided to go through with his recommendations (it was expensive) cuz well, she's family and sick. Results were on the good side, clear lungs and no virus detected. So the beginnings of like bronchitis-cold. He then prescribed medication for her and advised us of how to give it to her. We left with an antibiotic, an appetite inducer and a flea treatment as she was covered in fleas despite us giving her a monthly treatment.

All out the door, including office visit charge, it came to almost $700. 😲 We left the office, relieved about her outcome and a lot lighter in the pocket.

Keith is now doing much better, almost back to her normal self, we did have to take her back in a week after her initial appointment due to her still having difficulty in breathing. Dr. Barrett diagnosed her with having a fur ball that was lodged in her throat. He gave us a tube of stuff to put on her nose or paws for her to lick it off to help with the digestion or upchuck of said hairball. Keith, by the way, did not like the stuff and refused to lick it off her paws.

Dr. Barrett was very detailed in his questioning and his findings during the exam. He was friendly and seems truly concerned about his patients health and well-being.

I will definitely recommend Community Vet to others based upon my interactions with them and the treatment, diagnosis and recovery of Keith. And not to mention, the office was clean, bright, and had comfortable seating with no animal smell detected. Will use again if/when the need arises.

Best exotic vet for rabbits in the area! They always have availability to get in my buns, which is good considering how quickly rabbits can regress! Staff is kind and doctor does a good job of explaining conditions and finding solutions with least harm possible! 10/10 Only wish they were open on the weekends.

Dr. Barrett is the best. He truly has a love for his job and cares about the animals.

Great service, I took my tortoise for upper respiratory infection and the reptile vet is very knowledgeable, the staff is super busy but very professional, and from now on it is going to be my go-to place

Everyone was great! Took in my cat for an injury he sustain while being outside and they took awesome care of him and were so professional. Explained everything to me and let me know of all my options. Highly recommend! This is him btw.

I’ve had nothing but a great experience here. My dog had a cracked tooth that I was concerned about, I called first thing in the morning and was able to get in quick and the tooth was extracted all in the same day. I love clear expectations, the staff was friendly, informative and made it clear on what to expect after the extraction. Also, another perk I’ve found them much more affordable than other vets in the area, some clinics you feel like they’re trying to take advantage of a concerned pet owner. Thank you Community Vet.

Dr. Barrett is the Best Vet in Turlock, He is passionate, caring and loving about what he does and it shows. We been coming here for about 7 years, Although some of his Technicians are a bit rude most of them have been caring and that's why we continue trusting them with our beloved pets. I won't take my pets anywhere else if I can avoid it. Dr Barrett and his staff are always super nice and careful with our pets. He also does price gouge which is also nice though I'd pay anything for my babies. I definitely recommend community Veterinary Clinic
